I watch it occassionally, but I wouldn't say I'm addicted 8)

It has a sexed up X-Files feel to it, don't you think?

Ok, so Im probably not addicted (thats what the OC is for ::)), but I do enjoy it. It is a bit x-files like, but it has Jensen Ackles in it which is a big bonus  ;D

Oh yes Jensen  :-* I am a big fan of Dark Angel and used to love him in it  ;) Im glad he is finally in a show where he is the 'big star' and not behind the limelight of someone more famous (ie dark angel, smallville) He certainly deserves it..plus he is very nice to look at  :-X Dont tell matt I said that...or Johnny..they both might get jealous  ;)

I love it...its definately a sexed up x-files feel like you said Jo! There has not been any shows on since the x-files with this type of storyline.

I was a huge Dark Angel fan too! i had to get season 2 on dvd so I could watch all the eps with him in it  ::)

we havent seen him in smallville yet have we? I know we are behind the US, but I guess we are gradually catching up (unlike Gilmore Girls, which was taken off again)

Nah he is in smallville for Season 4 I think...at the moment they are showing season 3 on tv over here.

He was in dawsons creek too..season 6 but I dont think I saw that one..its when they are at college or something...right when they took it off air in Aust for a while, then it was on week-mornings  ???

Ah, I saw him on Dawsons; I was on one of those lovely long uni breaks at the time...though i did miss most of the last season (think i must have been away). The season finale was a major tear jerker (though he wasnt in it).

I wish there had been another DA season, but at least it didnt end on a total cliffhanger...

I remember seeing season 5 when they first went to college...but after that I think they took it off and I didnt get to see the one's during the week...but my mum watched some of it and filled me in on bits...I would love to see it all, might have to invest in the box sets i think.

sounds like a plan; ive been thinking the same thing...it was basically the show that defined my high school years...its kind of why I started watching the OC...im refusing the grow up.  :P

If you just wanted the finale, you can get that on dvd, but i do recommend the whole season (not that I saw much); but the show kind of finishes, then the double ep finale takes place a number of years later...really good.

I know that Sam (Jared Padelecki) is meant to be the 'hunk' in the series, but I prefer Dean. Must be something about those brooding dark looks, bad boy attitude and snappy wisecracks ;D

Dawson's Creek, huh? I only watched the first 2 seasons, I had no idea it went for 6!! :o

Agreed, Dean is definately better. Theres always something about bad boys  :rofl:

Has anyone got any conspiracy theories about this series yet?  I don't want to put anything on that might spoil it for anyone (not sure what episode you are up to) but at work we have a big question mark over Dean  ??? ;) :-\ ;D

I think we've only had about 5 episodes (this week was about the hooked man/priest thing)... Ive got no theories, im just enjoying the show...

No conspiracy theories yet...but like Kate said we have only seen a few ep's. Next week's episode is 'Bugs' and last week's was 'Hookman'.

Well we are only on about episode 4.  It was the ' Bloody Mary ' one.  If you have seen this one I will share the theory  >:D

This doesn't really have anything to do with the show, but I think it's worthy news. In America, this show is on the WB. Recently, there has been an announcement that the WB and the UPS networks will merge into a network called the CW or something like that. Here's (http://www.timewarner.com/corp/newsroom/pr/0,20812,1152384,00.html) the official press release. So far, Supernatural is on the schedule for the merged channed CW, but some other WB and UPN shows will be getting scrapped. I hope this one stays around for everyone here  :o=

OK there are two theories at work.  I would say it had started an inter-office feud but since only two of us are watching it is more like a tea-break spat  ;)

Both theories stem from the Bloody Mary episode where old Mary would melt peoples eyes if they had a secret that concerned a death / murder.  In this episode both brothers faced Mary and both started bleeding.  We know Sam bled because of the dreams but why did Dean bleed?

My theory - Dean knows that his Dad is dead and feels guilty (or is guilty  >:D ).  He won't tell Sam because he doesn't want to fight the demons on his own.  He faked the answerphone message and planted his Dads diary because he knew they needed this to fight the baddies.

Teresa's (my Supervisor) theory - Dean set up Sam's girlfriend Jessica.  Dean really wanted Sam to go with him but knew he wouldn't whilst Jessica was around and so he summoned the demon that killed their mum to come and get poor Jess.

I am sure these will change on a weekly basis but one thing we are both sure of - Dean is hiding something  :o

The bloody mary ep was the best so far I think  ;D

Well I dont have a theory of my own at all...and I do think Dean is hiding something but..

With your theory I think it is a great one and I would have totally gone for it...but...I have seen a little on the net that I wont reveal to you cause they are spoilers..but they point me to think that your theory is not likely (sorry  :-\) BUT of course I have only seen snippets so who knows  ::)

Your friends theory is a good one too...but why would Dean summon the demon that killed their mum...I mean, that is why he is in it..to get revenge on this demon, find who it is, and kill it...so I wouldnt think that one is likely either but thats just my opinion.

I honestly dont know what his secret is but I think it is a good one. Any other ideas?

In between this, working out the words to "Puff, The Magic Dragon", super heroes whose real christian and surname begin with the same letter (Reed Richards, Peter Parker etc) AND designing Santa's through the timeline, I have it on good authority there is some work done in this office as well  :rofl:  :rofl:  :rofl:

We just had the episode 'scarecrow' here in Oz last night. It was a good one, reminded me a bit of jeepers creepers though.

Oh good, you are ahead of us.  I didn't want to put my lastest theory in case you hadn't seen the episode with their Dad in (with the psychic).  So my latest theory (which you may already know things about to totally disprove)

The demon that killed Jessica and the boys mum is actually Sam's biological dad.  Sounds crazy but in the one where they go back to their old house the mum says sorry to Sam.  Now this could have been sorry for dying or for something more sinister.....  :o  Sam is developing supernatural powers by the episode and I think this is coming from daddy's side of the family.  I reckon Deans dad realises this and that is why he had to stay away and watch from a distance.  I think he is trying to figure out how to kill the demon but save Sam!

Sharon, how i would love to put in my theory to you... but i can't without giving away spoilers so you'll have to wait i'm afraid. i'm about3/4 episodes in front of the scarecrow.... keep watching....

I think that maybe somehow this demon has given Sam the ability to see the future / have these visions. The demon was standing over Sam's crib, when his mum looked in the room, and she just assumed that it was their dad..so what was it doing standing over Sam's crib....I think it was giving him some kind of supernatural power  :o

Well that is my theory on Sam and this demon who killed him Mom and Jessica  :-\

I finally started watching this show recently and I am excited to get caught up on it very soon with the release of the season 1 DVD's in the US.

I am posting to let other "Supernatural" fans know that the season 1 box set for the US was released on Tuesday, September 5. I also recommend that you check out the prices because my local Wal-Mart wanted $48.87 for it while Amazon's price is $37.27 and you can get Super Saving shipping with it also  ;) I should be getting my season 1 box set next Thursday or Friday from Amazon  ;D

Yea it came out yesterday...I was so tempted to buy it, but its a week before pay day so I avoided the temptation, didnt want to make my credit card bill any larger lol. But I will get it next week  :D

I just read the special features and I can't wait to see them also. I love special features on television shows on DVD  ;D

Well just rented the 1st 4 episodes from Amazon as we missed it on the box and have to say Mrs Orc & I are both hooked  ;D going to have to buy the box set LOL

I just got my Box set on Wednesday and I am up to the episode "Asylum"  ;D I am really enjoying this series and I can't wait for season 2 to start soon  ;D

Our dvd sets here in Oz are strange. I brought mine, and printed on the 6th disc it says 'special features' but when the disc loads there is no way to access them, they arent on there. I took mine back cause I thought I had a faulty disc, they tried a couple more in the store, and none of them work. I had seen the special features listed on a couple of Oz dvd sites so assumed they are meant to be on there.

None of the outside packaging mentions special features so either:
a) its a missprint on the disc
b) there was a faulty batch that the store had
c) they expected to have special features but somehow couldnt get the rights (thats the theory of the girl who checked it out for me)

So im calling Warner Home Entertainment on Monday to see what the deal is. If they arent supposed to be on there then its pretty bad that they have 'special features' on the last disc then....

It could be that they are computer-accessible special features, like the stuff that is found in HP sets...otherwise, someone has made a huge boo-boo...

I read on a supernatural forum that the Australian and UK releases do not have special features. And they did mention that the aussie ones still have 'special features' printed on them even though they are not there. So at least I know its not just me. But im going to ring them up and complain anyway, its misleading, especially because when info was first released about the dvd they did list special features, now all of a sudden they aren't there.

Ok we had the first ep of Season 2 here in Oz last night and all I can say is OMG!!!
......what is going to happen now?? I dont really want to believe it!

(Im not stating 'it' here for those of you who havent seen it and dont know what the particular event is that I am talking about....has everyone else got the new season yet? I know the US has)

Well then guys just watched the last episode of season 1, and really need to start watching season 2 I love this show and at the moment I have enjoyed it more than LOST.

Well I have seen the first one   :o :o :o :o  So unexpected.  I guessed what the extra bit of the bargain would be with the boys Dad but I never suspected who the girl was!  And what did daddy whisper to Dean  ??? ??? ???

Yea you kinda knew 3/4 the way through that it was gonna happen but it was bad all the same. We havent heard as yet with the ep's here on what John whispered to Dean but I have my theory. Yea I didnt suspect who the girl was either that was a surprise.

Great series  ;D loved this weeks Vampire story and quite a twist LOL hope this runs for quite a while ;D and of the cards are rather good as well ;D

OK the theories from the British jury ie me and my Supervisor at work are

1.  The demon is Sam's daddy and all the other 'special' kids  :o.  Actually this is the same theory we had last year  :rofl:
or
2.  Sam and the others were sent to fight the demons.  Neither of Sam's parents are his biological parents, just people to raise him.  However Sam's mum knew all about this and was a special guardian to keep him safe until his powers kicked in.  This would explain why the demon killed her first.  It would also explain why he killed Sam's girlfriend - I think she was the replacement guardian sent to keep Sam safe.
