: Cheeky artbox retail box sellers : Roz July 04, 2004, 12:38:41 PM I have seen so many auctions for these cards go overpriced... but that's partly because of the misleading sellers... one wrote "there are chase cards included worth significantly more than the other cards" and stood by their guns!
Finally though I think that people are realising that if it doesn't say "props and autos etc" on the front of the box and packs there aren't any props inside the pack.. These boxes have been going for at least £40 but now they are more realistically going for about £12 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=22727&item=5905037456&rd=1 : Re:Cheeky artbox retail box sellers : kbmum July 05, 2004, 12:02:25 AM About a month ago, I did a BIN for a box from this seller. I thought it was a hobby box, but it wasn't. This was entirely my fault because I saw the BIN and didn't bother reading the listing (there was nothing in the title to indicate hobby or retail). I just thought I was getting a great deal and rushed to buy it before someone else did. The seller very graciously allowed me to back out of the sale, saying that anyone could make an honest mistake.
Around the same time, I purchased packs from another seller. The picture showed hobby packs and the listing stated there were costume, prop, and auto inserts. She told me she had additional packs to sell, so I bought more. When I put the additional, non-eBay transaction through PayPal, I wrote "hobby packs" in the subject. She got back to me within minutes, stating that everything I'd purchased was the retail version. We discussed what she'd written in the listing, then refunded all of the transactions. She said that she had had hobby packs, and accidentally used the picture on the retail listings. Funny, though, we she listed the packs again, she still used the hobby picture, but inserted one line in the item description that they were retail packs. Between the two listings, I learned a good lesson about reading everything carefully and taking the time to write to the seller with questions. : Re:Cheeky artbox retail box sellers : rns91294 July 09, 2004, 09:58:32 PM Hi. Would you mind telling me who put the hobby pictures when they were retail? I may have just gone throught he same thing and was wondering if it was the same seller.
Thanks. : Re:Cheeky artbox retail box sellers : Almath July 10, 2004, 12:20:35 AM The details this seller has posted regarding autographs in this set has been copied from a sales sheet sent to dealers in the UK by a card wholesaler. This list did include Malfoy. Maybe the wholesaler knows something we haven't had confirmed. I was shown this list be a dealer I know.
