I don't know anything about Dr. Who, but picture #1 is my favorite to look at.  Just more interesting.  8)

Well Dr who is a Time Lord who travels time and space in an old fashioned police box (long story)

But cutting a long story short thats him Regenerating (when they change actors)

I used to watch Dr. Who every Sunday morning!! I loved it!!!

I just thought - he may not be a good Dr Who.  From what I have read he may have a 'dark' side.  So in fact your avatar can be dark or darker  ;D

Note to Kelly - the new Dr Who is just starting in the States - it is very good and well worth a look in  ;)

But the Dr's got to be good, usually a bit mental (or a lot) but good  :o So maybe Dr Who will go off and help Voldemort, maybe it was Dr Who pretending to be Barty Crouch, ouch now my head hurts.

Ooh are you talking about the master......... He was interesting. I can remeber extrodinery well the regeneration from Tom Baker (did you know he read out text messages on your phone now?) and I loved K9 but that was 1981 and I was only 4  :o

That's what I said, a slip of a girl  ;).  Graham had a brilliant idea though (take note any BBC script writers) -

This Doctor is not the real Dr Who.  He is in fact an evil Time Lord and the real Dr Who is locked up in one of the many rooms on the Tardis.  That way they could bring in more Time Lords and bring back the Daleks by saying the evil Dr was lying all along.  I haven't explained that very well but the way Graham tells it, it is brilliant  ;D

I'd put copy right on that if I where him. Although we could have a snape situation, is he isn't he evil.

Back to subject I have gone for Barty but if voting changes I'll go with the Doc ;)

No Sorry its only a picture from the BBC website. Think it will be some time before its out on DVD and I haven't worked out how to make the animated ones ::)

Doctor Who checks into SCI FI
SCI FI Channel screen first series Fridays at 9pm from March.

SCI FI Channel and BBC Worldwide Americas announced today a major licensing deal for the first series of the latest Doctor Who adventures.

The 13-part drama is about a mysterious time-travelling adventurer known simply as "The Doctor" (Christopher Eccleston) and his companion, Rose Tyler (Billie Piper). The Doctor and Rose risk death and danger, battling aliens and monsters.

The deal, brokered by Lisa Hofer, Director Co-Production and Sales, BBC Worldwide Americas, grants SCI FI Channel the first run rights for series one with an option for series two. The award-winning series will premiere on SCI FI beginning in March, airing Friday nights at 9.00pm.

Russell T Davies, Head Writer and Executive Producer told us: "The Doctor's made all sorts of journeys in Time and Space, but this is one of his most exciting yet! I'm a huge fan of the SCI FI Channel, and I'm delighted that Doctor Who is appearing on a channel that supports and enhances the entire genre."

"With its rich history of imaginative storytelling, Doctor Who is a true sci-fi classic," stated Thomas P. Vitale, SCI FI's Senior Vice President, Programming & Original Movies. "We're excited to add the show to our lineup."

Commenting on the deal Candace Carlisle, Senior Vice President, BBC Worldwide Americas, said: "The new production has fantastic storylines and production values and has already gained an iconic status around the world. SCI FI Channel is the perfect home for the show and will introduce Doctor Who to a whole new generation of fans in the US."

In addition, BBC Video has moved the US release date of the DVD from February 2006 to July 4, 2006 to capitalize on the exposure from the TV broadcast. As part of the deal, BBC Video and SCI FI Channel have agreed to work together on joint marketing promotions to support the brand launch.

Burton Cromer, Vice President, Consumer Products, BBC Worldwide Americas said: "We are delighted to be working with SCI FI Channel on the launch of this exciting new take on Doctor Who. The additional marketing support from SCI FI, as well their ability to reach such a broad audience base, made moving the release date an easy decision."

Thanks for the info!  I'm glad it will be Fridays at 9:00 since I won't have any conflicts in TV schedules.  How long has Dr. Who been running in the UK?  I remember hearing about it LONG LONG ago.

It stopped for a long time something like 16 years. The boss of the BBC cancelled it >:(). There was a breif come back with a film in 1996 and thats it. But it was only last year that it was really back. The annoying thing is the Chrispher Eccleston was chosen and he said how he had always wanted to do it blar blar. But decided after one series to quit not even after the end. Anyway his loss is David Tennants gain and as you can tell he's more of a hit for me anyway lol.

Dr Who started long, long ago in the days of black and white TV, when Bogleg was a little boy (yes it was that long ago).  If anyone wants to know anything about the Dr Graham's your man - he is a huge fan  :)

Well I was -14 and The New Dr was -8 thats a bit freaky that the actor wasn't even born when it all started. Actually is it me or are the Drs getting younger. It could be me getting older ::)

Much as I like the guy (well not Barty) that freaked me out each time.

Mind you I always thought of BCJ as ugly when I read the book, but then again I had thought Lupin was cute until the film they do like to fool us.

I never thought Hermione as cute as Emma Watson ;) I thought both Bartys were ugly but they were ok in the movie. I thought the girl they picked as Luna was a great choice!

Yes Hermione was supposed to be less good looking I do beleive but tahst Hollywood for you. I'd have been more happy with Barty jr and Lupin swapping but then they made the marauders older to match snape, could have jsut said he was a bit haggered

I think they looked a little older, Lupin is a werewolf and that can do major damage to the body, Sirius was in Azkaban for 13 years and Snapes...he's just weird looking all around ;)
