A seller on ebay, toshibaby382, has had a few Potter hobby boxes (both PoA Update and SS) for sale on ebay, still has a few up now. I won a POA update that had this written about it: "Up for bids is this still sealed in plastic box of "Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban" Hobby collector's edition update set of trading cards. Sealed box contains 24 packs of cards - each pack has 8 cards. This hobby edition could contain a randomly inserted chase, costume and/or autograph cards. New and never opened." (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6237769827&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1) Well, got it today, and saw a few problems right off the bat: the plastic wrapping it was encased in was not the kind Artbox uses, there was no silver foil seal on the box (or any signs of there ever having been one), there was no box topper in it, and, oh, the only pack that had anything in it besides base cards had a foil and a Harry's Cloak card...you know, the one that only comes in retail boxes. So, beware this fellow, as it is obviously not what it is advertised to be. Don't know as I have any recourse about it, but thought it best to warn all.

I would say you should definitely complain.  Was there no seal whatsoever?  I noticed on the last few boxes I opened that the seal actually changes if it is tampered with.

Getting nothing in the box is par for the course with this set but you should not have got the retail cloak.  Have you contacted the seller through Ebay?

The description of your box does not match the picture used in the auction.  You should contact the seller through eBay.  If he won't refund your money, then take it to PayPal.  It's pretty obvious that the box was repacked.

Well, I actually made a stupid mistake when I made this post (and yes, you can all laugh at me until you are red in the face, feel free), in that I didn't notice something I should have noticed right off (thus proving the old saying of, "the best place to hide something is in plain site:" the front says "8 cards per pack: look for randomly inserted chase and costume cards!" So the seller just plain sent me a retail box, rather then a hobby that had been cheery picked. After 14 boxes of POA hobby over the past two years, you think I would have spotted that right off. (this is where I would like there to be a smiley hitting it's head against the wall) Hopefully, as I've just writtin to the fellow, it is something he will recitify, and I can come on here later and say, 'thee, I was an idiot, trust him', and I won't have to go to paypal and say "fraud, fraud!'  That would be much better then, say, finding out he is advertising hobbies and sending retails. So, I will post further as I continue to find a solution to this. Hopefully I haven't caused to much of a consternation with my lack of observational skills.

Don't be so hard on yourself ... it's an easy mistake to make! ;)
It will be very interesting so hear how this one goes and whether it's an honest mistake on the seller's part or an attempt to fob you off with retail boxes. :-\

The auction specifically mentions "Hobby" and the picture is a hobby box, so in my opinion, it's the seller's fault...

I agree.  He advertised a Hobby box and you did not get that.  Not your fault that it took you opening it to figure that out.  You deserve to get what you paid for. Simple as that.
