: Lost auctions for the price guide
: beckham1 December 21, 2005, 12:31:16 AM
Hi All,
The Lost price guide needs a little more attention.  I will try to start entering some auctions, I hear Kelly has done a lot of entering of PW auctions special thanks to Kelly.  Some areas need more auction inputs especially the auto's.  For example the regular Shannon auto red. only has 1 entry.  Any additional help would be appreciated.
thanks,
Dave

Thanks.  I'm trying to keep up with the pieceworks.  I can usually enter blocks of completed auctions once or twice a week.  I entered a few Auto/pieceworks and I see that someone has already done the majority of entrys on those.  ;D

OK for anyone else launching into these I think I have done all the Shannon, Ethan and Arzt auto's.  I will have a go at some more when I have had some sleep  ^-^  (this is the nearest smiley I could find to someone dozing off  ;D )

To whoever checks these auctions please accept my apologies in advance for any errors I have made - sorry :-[.

OK I have had a go at Cooper, Locke and Kate autos.  I just had a look at the Shannon bit of the price guide and it says that there are no auctions logged  :-\  I know I did loads yesterday  ???

Roz needs to verify all the auctions before they'll show up in the Price Guide, so she might not have gotten to those yet.

Well that's odd - I verified loads of Shannons.

Everything was verified at lunchtime today (now there's more - I'm starting verifying now)!

I wonder - there are two separate entries - for the Auto card itself:

http://www.theyakshack.co.uk/tradingcards/index.php?page=viewcard&card=548

(we have no pics and no auctions yet as Inkworks don't have them in yet)

and the redemption:

http://www.theyakshack.co.uk/tradingcards/index.php?page=viewcard&card=535

24 auctions logged so far!

Awesome folks, keep up the good work. I don't know if you would like to assign yourselves "sections" of autos or PW? You and Becks and I think Sharon are working away hard at them. Kelly has been doing PW, I wonder if she's ok with doing them all, and I am slowly (on 56k) verifying ;) and I am also adding in promo auctions (there's a healthy number of auctions for the L1-MS, and of the Holiday promo, but I have only found 2 sales of the P1-i.

By the way if you want one of those you have to send in your application very soon!

Check Inkworks site for info

Actually I missed the entrys for 12/5-12/9 if someone wants to handle those for me.  I'll be entering the peiceworks up to tonights finished auctions, then I won't be able to do anymore until 12/27.  After that I think I can handle it.  I need to revise my saved searches to get more organised and I'll be doing that tonight also.  Things have slowed down a bit lately.  Lots of piecworks auctions have come and gone, but the majority didn't sell.  If someone want's to do Auto/pieceworks, that would help.  They're aren't too many of them, so it won't be a hassle.  Thanks!  Kelly

I just realised why there were no Shannon auctions listed - I was clicking on the wrong button   I am going to pick another couple of peoples autos to do the backlog on, then we should almost be up to date  ;D

Ok I think I have covered the majority of autos up to date so we will just have to go from todays date.  Kelly I will try and keep an eye on the PW cards  :)

As I was entering pieceworks tonight, I also entered Shannon/Sawyer/Kate autos and auto-pieceworks including the redemptions.  Also entered were Walt autos and Emily Locke autos.  1/1/06

You guys are awesome, I haven't checked the guide for a few days because I knew I was getting back to broadband soon (verifying on 56k is such an interesting experience and a trial in patience :P)

Anyway I have 245 auctions to verify so that will keep me out of trouble, I then have some instructions from Anna on bits and bobs so you won't hear hide nor hair out of me for ages :D

Thanks everyone and keep up the grand work,

This auction is a good example of a "what to do with?" auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6240389152

Seller listed as a Kate AutoPW redemption in the title, but the BIN price seemed a little low so as I looked more closely the picture shows a Sawyer AutoPW card and the description also says a Sawyer AutoPW.  This is just a good example of an auction that maybe shouldn't be used.  It is likely correct to assume that it is for a Sawyer AutoPW based on the price, but sold for a little bit higher price that you would expect for a SAPW, but probably because of the title listed ???  Just thought this was a good example of the question.  This is included in the price guide under Kate APW auctions.

: Re: Lost auctions for the price guide
: Roz January 04, 2006, 03:33:08 AM
Good point! That's a very confused auction, let's not put that one in unless the buyer is here and can confirm it either way.

: Re: Lost auctions for the price guide
: beckham1 January 04, 2006, 04:04:17 AM
The price seemed a little low so I looked at the auction in more detail to see why.  Yes, I think it is a perfect example very confusing to buyers.  If you get a Kate you got a great deal, if you get a Sawyer you prob paid a little more than you wanted to.

First apologies if this is just me having a senior moment but.....

Some auto PW are now showing up on Ebay (not the redemption's).  I don't seem to be able to find them in the price guide to enter the auction.  If someone else can have a look and tell me they were right in front of my nose I would be grateful  ;D

: Re: Lost auctions for the price guide
: tialessa January 10, 2006, 02:07:56 AM
A note for the price guide....  There's not an AR-2 or an AR-3.  All 3 autograph redemptions are AR-1

Also, Sawyer auto pieceworks redemption should be APR-2, not APR-3.

: Re: Lost auctions for the price guide
: Sharon January 10, 2006, 02:16:55 AM
Yes there is a lot of confusion on Ebay about the naming of these cards as well.  The only way I have been sure which card is for sale is to look really closely at the picture and check where the little cross is.

By George, after a Sterling effort by Jo and myself we have verified everything and we are back up to date :) woo hoo. You guys are awesome.

With the Revelations set coming out soon (and the LR-UK card already out in Europe), should this set be added to the price guide?

Anna's also mentioned this to me.. I need to check we have volunteer troops :)

: Re: Lost auctions for the price guide

Well, I know I can do some searching, but I know I've been bad about adding more recent auctions to the Lost area...

Don't worry Kelly there is a secret Lost guardian angel on the Shack  ;D  I have been doing my regular searches on Lost on a Friday but most of the auctions have already been entered so it looks like everything is still up to date.  To be honest there isn't a lot selling at the moment but I am sure all of that is set to change ....  ;D

Bless you, Sharon!  0:)
I'll be back on the team starting tonight.

I've already apologized to Roz for the 50+ I added in today from the ebay stores section...

Now I probably need to do the same with the LOTR section...  And I have more Potter items to add too...

He hee! Don't worry about that sort of thing, just as long as you don't get angry at me if I haven't verified them immediately - because one womans naptime is another woman's evening ;) - but I'm up to date now ;D

As I've mentioned before I have added LOST revelations - if you spot that I've missed something or messed something up - give me a shout ;D

Are there any promos out so far except the NSV and the UK?

LR-1 is being handed out this weekend, so it should be widely available soon.  And the LR-i is the next free promo on the list I believe.

Oh please not as many promos as the last set  :o=  I have never seen so many different promos for one set of cards (I don't count HP cos they are all the same just different colours).

Bless you, Sharon! 0:)

Kelly when I said there was a mystery guardian of the Lost guide I did really mean a mystery person  :o  Everytime I go to enter anything all but the most recent auctions are already done.  But who could it be  :o  Well as we are up to about episode 8 in the UK I will go for Mr Echo - something about that bloke rings familiar

: Re: Lost auctions for the price guide

It must be Tialessa!  But I'm sure she looks nothing like Mr Echo!  ;)

I can only take credit for the items I found in the ebay stores section this week that hadn't yet been entered.... There's got to be someone putting in a lot of time & effort in on the regular auctions...

Okay, it was me.  There haven't been too many HP auctions, so I expanded a bit with my auction entries. ::)

I have just seen something I have never noticed before on Ebay.  There is a dealer selling PW and autograph cards for the new set on a pre-release basis.  I have seen this with boxes and cases before but not individual cards.  The question is should these go in the price guide?  My gut instinct is yes but I thought I would see what the general view was first.
