Why are prices on film cards usually so much lower than other cards that are printed at 300?  Actually I know that demand sets the price, ::) but some film cards for POAU were selling at $10 or less.  With GOF being 3 per case you would think that people would really want to get thier hands on one this time.  ???  I love the film cards. 

I do too, but whereas props and costumes are used in the movie, and autographs are from the stars, I'd just say that these beauties are a little lower on my priority list than other items.

I like them too.  Having a piece of the film (even if it is the trailer) is something I feel is a must have. I just think because they don't show up as well on scans as in person, people just searching eBay can't truly see the beauty of them.

The filmcards are among my favorites.  I think the deal with them is that while each card is limited to 300 for GOF, there are nine different cards, and therefore there are 2700 in total.  They're sort of like a Lupin jacket. :-\  Most people don't seem to feel the need to collect a complete set.

I've already purchased one from GOF and have bids on others, but I'm very particular about the cells.

I got a SS one cheap, but the cells...welll, even I can not make them out they are so blurry :-\  But I agree, if I am going to buy them, I am normally particular with the cells.  This set will have some nice matching ones.  The 2nd task and the Dragon....which by the way, cells of the dragon are gourgous.  And I am still waiting for one with two cells.

I think you will find it much harder than your other sets to get the matching cells for this one.  I see Sara has spotted some matching ones, but with the older footage used I think these will be an exception rather than a rule.  But I am keeping my fingers crossed for you  :)

Yeah, I think that's probably the key.  Most people might just be collecting one or two and not the whole set.  Good for the rest of us who are though!  Wait a bit and get a better price on them.  ;)

I have a full set from POAU and SS. I prefer the Film Cards.  ::)

To all those "guests" on the forum that also might be sellers on ebay, can I offer a suggestion?  When you list a film card for sale on ebay, can you also PLEASE describe what is on the cell?  I'm so very weary of constantly having to email sellers to ask "what's on the cell?", "can you tell me what the cell is?", "I was wondering if you can describe the film cells?"   :P :P :P  It really makes a difference to most collectors.  Thanks!

I second that!  I'm constantly emailing sellers about their filmcards.  Even if the seller hasn't seen the movie, even a general description of the cells would help.

I was wondering about the odds if they are 1 in 3 boxes and there are 2700 of them doesn't that equal 8100. But the boxes are numbered to 6000 so do some cases have more than 3 in them.

There's one on ebay with that cell at the moment (not from me of course).  ::)

I got one case  in 16 that had four CFC cards. (I corrected that it had said 1 box in 160.)

Didn't it say 3 CFC cards per case? Even so that makes 1800 cards with 2700 issued. Are they keeping the othe 900 as replacements and publicity/insider gifts?
And I wonder if anyone has opened any of the packs in the TINs. The TINs may have some premium cards in them. Anyone had any luck with TINs?

I just opened one of each TIn. The packs are not HOBBY packs. The TINs contain RETAIL packs. So there will not be any Premium cards in the TINs. I got one Foil, Number R8 which is the same design as the Hobby Box R8.

I didn't realise they were doing retail for GOF.  Is there any different cards in them ie foils?

The sticker on the foil wrap of the tins say "Retail" packs, but the wrappers looked the same as the hobby packs to me. I haven't seen any hints that dealers are expecting any retail cases, but in another thread hanawao reports that there are retail boxes showing up in Japan. Of course they didn't have to choose the tin-packs from the supply that had the higher-end inserts, if they picked them from the same starting supply as hobby packs.

I also opened one of each tin and found one R card, plus the T1 and T2 cards that match the images on the tins.

But see the pack. Very interesting, they are same with the Hobby version.
And price is the same with Hobby Box...... :o

Has anyone seen a film card with Fleur on the cells?  I just got my CFC1 from Anna and the cells of Viktor are the same as on my avatar!  Woo-hoo! ;D 
Now after a few trades and buys (thanks everyone)  I have Durmstrang students entry, Beaubatons students entry, Durmstrang boy putting his name in the cup, Mermaid with open mouth, and a great shot of Viktor.
I'm now looking for Cedric, Fleur, Dragon, and maybe Harry in a task scene.

I got lucky with mine.  I bought a dragon filmcard without knowing what was in the cells, and discovered that they had this picture of Cedric just before the first task.  Not matching cells, but close enough for me!
