Damn, thats a mighty fine guest list!!! Why cant we get these great conventions down in Australia?? We are lucky to get one star at all let alone 6 or so.... :'(

I am just hoping that Miranda shows up, if I remember correctly she was scheduled at something last year and didn't end up arriving.  It will still be  great lineup, but I am excited for her, and have been told they will have a few more good ones :)  This will be my first event like this, so I will definetly post pictures afterwards.

Alot of people are wanting to go now with her going, it was a blast last year!!

I will definetly be there.  We are flying down from Idaho and spending a day at Disneyland and 3 days at ORC, had to commit to 1 day at Disneyland to make it happen :)   We should definetly meet up, all the Yak Shakers that make it to the convention.  You said you went last year, would you recommend the gold ticket pass, or just buy the autographs that I want?  I am hoping they get some more signed up, which I think they will.

i liked the gold because i wanted to meet them all..

the thing is if you buy just an auto you are at the end of a VERY VERY long line ( 4+ hours for JRD)

they go by row and after all the golds are done then you get the people that just got admission.

Plus if your there 3 days, you get all the autos.. admission and also the partiers which were kind of cool last year :)

Do they have a good selection of items to purchase to get autographed, or should I come prepared?  And if anyone knows of something that would work good that would be great.  I would like something between 8 x 10   to 13 x 19, I am just excited for this experience and want to have something really nice to remember it by.  So I am open for suggestions from anyone!!!  So far they have Billy Boyd, Miranda Otto, Sean Astin, and John NOble.

If you have in mind a particular picture you want autographed it is always best to be prepared and take it with you, that way you will not be disappointed

Last year thay had like 4-10 pictures for everyone ( for like 4-5 bucks) but they had tons and tons of pics to choose from... so you cuold buy there or bring your own.
I personally get my lithos signed :)

wow!! how many items can you get signed per actor/actress? i'm assuming that will be controlled because of the line but if you purchase the gold tickets are you limited with one or two pics/lithos for signing?

well if you buy 50 auto tickets you may piss some people off but you will be sitting there while she signs 50 things.. last year UI dont remember a line though I only got 2-3 of everyones auto

so prolly as many as you buy :) I know I will be getting a couple of ottos signed :)

So I just returned from ORC 2, and I must say, it was AMAZING!!!!  All the actors were just wonderful to be around, and I had my wife and 20 month old daughter and they were so good with her, when we got our pictures with them.  I don't have a lot of time to explain all that we did, but I thought I would get a few pics up that we got with a few of the actors (we did get one with Miranda Otto as well, but I won't have it for another week or two)

I also ran into goofyjas at the convention, he outbid me in the Iron Artist auction for a Cynthia Cummens art piece that looked amazing!!

When you get chance, we'd LOVE to hear about what you did and saw at the show Zach and that was way cool meeting up with Goofyjas whilst you were there too - I'm sure you'll have a few stories to swap! ;)

Yea I was there.. it was great! and he outbid me! I just won the battle of the wallets!!

My first time to check or post since getting back, I got home to my grandma going back into the hospital after her stroke a few weeks back so as soon as I upload some pics I will post some.

I got some close ups of when Elijah and Sean were looking at thier butts and showing them off to everyone.. also billy was grabbing his own :P the girls went crazy!

Also met up with CC again.. amazing woman!! her art blows me away ( that was what I outbit Zman on :) ) she showed some sketchs ( look better in her portfolio then on the web...) Let me tell you some of them are freaking awesome!

It was a good time..not as much fun as last year but a little more personable so it was cool.

Another guest they had was Daniel Reeve.. for you who dont know who he is, everything that was written out was pretty much done by him, bilbos party invite, the book in moria, sarumans book he wrote them out, HAS them and showed them off to us.. so we got to finger threw them and read some of it ( which was pretty funny when he explained it) so with him doing all that and personalizing party invites for him I had to ask him the big question...
Since he ran out of invites I asked if he could do a special invite for me..he agreed and I am gonna be the first person that has thier wedding invitations all written out by him :) he had no problem with it and thought it would be very cool. Talked to him a bunch about it saw him several times and showed him the layout at lunch one day. he was happy to do it and will show you what they look like when I get the first finished product :)

Oh if you didnt catch that I got engaged over christmas..  >:()

OMG so much news - where to start Jas - bad luck for your Gran - I'm gonna PM you about that.

Wedding invites eh? How awesome is that?

Also - great engaged news - just the one wife or two??

Congratulations on your engagement  ;D  You will have to to tell us when the big day is.  Roz can correct me if I am wrong, but this could be the first Shack wedding  ;D
