For you TIN collectors, there will be two different TIN designs. There will be a Case card for the TINs. I don't know if there are two different case cards. That would be too much to expect but, you never know. I am wondering if this case card is different from the usual TIN card inside the TIN? The information is the usual foggy stuff that is released.

Oh, and Roz listed 8 props in the first message.  There will be 9 in the product, so is the 9th the one in the last sell sheet we have seen, but aren't sure what it is?  Or is that the book?

According to HWMNBN,  ;D, The RETAIL boxes will not, repeat, NOT have different foil chase cards in them. That means we will not have the usual M1-M9 set of foils to complement the Hobby R1-R9 foils. So, if any of you have ordered Retail boxes with the idea of getting M1-M9 foils, you might verify with your supplier and cancel them. I did.

But will there be retail costumes made like for the PoAU update?

Nothing's very accurate yet, it also says "pack inserted props" and "Pack inserted costumes" but we have also heard that those are incentives, so we'll leave it as it is - there'll be more info nearer the time I expect

The sad fact is, Artbox has never divulged the full lineup prior to release, unlike other companies who post checklists on their websites.  Rittenhouse has a big Star Trek Art & Images set coming out on Nov. 16, and the complete checklist is already on their site.  We won't know about all of the GOF inserts until the first of us receive our boxes/cases and start posting breakdowns.

Inkworks posts their inserts ahead of time too. 

I must say that I do kind of like not knowing what is in there for the surprise factor, but knowing ahead of time would also help me decide what I want to buy.  Without knowing, i need to keep it to a minimum, just in case.

I wonder how popular, in general, the retail boxes are?  Without foils or any kind of chase cards, I can't imagine that too many people would be interested in them.

I would think they would still have the retail foils, at least. Maybe the lack of retail boxes for the SS set changed their mind :-\ I, too, wonder how many non-collectors would be willing to buy a pack or two of the retail version at stores.

To be fair, before I knew about these cards, I saw the retail PoA packs at Hot Tpic.  My husband and I started buying them to make a full set.  Then, one day on good ol'  :ebay:, my husband found Hermiones pink top card, and we realized it was from the makers of the cards we had been buying....and to think, we would get excited when we pulled a foil......but now that I learned about the hobby version, I would never buy retail packs without the chance of a costume or something special in it.

I mean, Artbox did the special cards in the retail for CatCF, as well as the PoAU.  Without them, I don't know who would want to buy them, except for thsoe who know nothing about costume/prop/auto cards.....

Does anyone know what the price is for a retail GOF box?  Maybe Artbox is making them for stores like Wal-Mart and Target.

I jusy found one website that shows the hobby box being $69.99 and retail is $49.99.  Both seem a bit high.

My story is somewhat similar except I found them on Warp9 (http://www.warp9cards.com) webpage, first. I think Wendi was buying some Stargate cards. I, then, went to ebay and found out more info. Since I was in Japan, I went to the Isetan that had the PoA Event and bought a pack. When I got back to the house, I did some research and found out there was a retail AND hobby verision. I had gotten a retail pack. Quite a few hobby boxes later, it remains to be the only retail pack that I have ever bought :P

Well I have instructed mum that if she helps me I want a Rita Skeeter or a Sirius Black ;)

You can probably take it to the bank that people who are used to premum cards  and M-Series foils a la POA, POAU and CATCF will be filling up Artbox's ears with some unpleasant words.
They are missing a bet by not inserting these Retails boxes with some different foils and Props. Let's face when teir biggest customer cancels the oder it had to get their attention.

I was just looking at one of the info pages Roz posted on page 1 of this thread.  They say there will be a Krum costume and I just assumed it would be one of his Triwizard uniforms, but they show his Yule Ball coat in the picture.  So far we've seen Harry and Fleur's Triwizard costumes at SDCC, but nothing about Cedrick.  Please don't tell me that Victor and Cedrick's costume cards won't be thier Triwizard uniforms.  That would bum me out.

Well, if they don't have a cedric and krum tournement outfit for this one, they will probably have it for the update, as a way of garuntee-ing those who want one from each TW champion outfit comes back for more.  :-\

Meh, it wouldn't bother me to not have a Triwizard Costume for each in this set, but Artbox better put the remaining ones in the update set :P I'm really looking forward to the Yule Ball stuff (watch that'll be the low numbered cards ::)). My mouth dropped when I saw the Yule Ball WB Webpage.

By the way, the Mini Dragon Bag pictured in the first "SOLD OUT" advert from Artbox has a big white "M" on it. Looking at the New Japanese Products, they have added a similar bag (http://www.harrypottershop.co.jp/alley/ProductInfo/product_id/1286), and the print on it is from the Ministry of Magic ;) Just thought it would be interesting bit of information ...

Thanks for that info.  So the dragon canapy.  Kind of odd picture they used for it...you can't even see it!!!

And I guess the Trial Chamber Paperwork Prop card (which I like the picture on the card) is the 9th prop card that we can now add to the list.  That means no Daily Prophet for this set.  I know there could be one in the update, but PoA had one for each set.

I am really sad that there are not super thrilling props in this set.  I think I want the Trial Chamber and Dark Forces book ones, and my luck, those will be numbered to 100.

Thanks for the update, kbmum ;D I saw a similar picture of Barty Crouch Jr. at the Hogwart's Galleries (http://www.hogwarts-gallery.org/hogwartsgallery/category.php), but I can't seem to find it anymore. The part of this costume is the dress shirt that he's wearing in the picture. It's hard to see on the card. Also, I hope Harry's Costume isn't the incentive :P

I think it's weird that that Trail Chamber Paperwork Prop is using a picture of the Trial Chamber instead of the paperwork. Perhaps, it's like the SS Letter Props, and they got many different Pieces of Paperwork ???

You're probably right rns, those cards will be limited :P I wouldn't give up on the Daily Prophet, yet. I would be ashamed if I were Artbox and didn't have one in both sets. I think the GOF book has used the Daily Prophet the most because of Rita Skeeter.

I like Harry's costume so hope it is not an incentive as well.  But if it is, I hope is prices on eBay are similar to the Hermione UK case incentive.

I do like Barty's swatch.  Neat looking colors.

Not necessarily. :)  Artbox said there would be nine props inserted in the set.  Here's what we have so far:

That comes up to nine cards, but the tent is probably a UK case incentive.  That would leave one unknown prop.  I really hope it's the Daily Prophet with Rita's article about Harry. :)

This set sounds awesome... and its copnfirmed there will be an emma costume(hermione)!

I bet it will be her pink dress from the Yule Ball.

To recap, we have now accounted for:

• all 12 autos
• 7 or 8 of the 12 costumes (depending whether there is a pack-pulled Harry costume)
• 8 or 9 of the 9 props (depending whether the burnt tent is pack-pulled or case incentive)

I'm really disappointed with the props. This is one set I'm just going for Autos and Costumes. I really hope they give us a fate for the update as we head into 2006 because I will definitely get more more than one box if its better then this ::)

I think the "12 props" or whatever can't really be relied upon, looking back at info in the past it's guestimates in the extreme on this. Especially since the burned tent prop is unlikely to be inserted if it's a 2 case incentive (unless it's like the PoA Ron/Harry 100 and 500 cards of course) so we could discount that one.

I havent seen any info on the other costumes thought. And we dont have anything Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw besides Cedrics task robes and such ::)

I don't know why they can't just come out and tell us what will be in the set, and what the incentives are.  Plain and simple.

Well the thing is, the set is sold out.
They technically do not even have to worry about telling us ANYTHING if they didn't want to, all they need to do is ship 600 cases and Artbox could be done with this set.
I know it is a bit annoying doing it the way they are doing....but if you go back and just read the original GOF thread, the majority of us started thinking this set is going to stink, then they made a little announcement and we all said cool, ok a little better, they they made another and we found out about all the great autographs and more people jumped on board and said man I am going for an autograph master and thank god! maybe I can pull a gary oldman autograph now! Then they announced Emma and Dan's costume cards and people got really excited, there was a whole page of the thread just with people being happy about that.

Believe it or not, I still expect one or even two more suprises from them before the set comes out.
...although my hopes of a quad champion costume card will more than likely not be one of them

I don't know.  I think people were excited, but now that we know a good amount of the info, it is not that impressive. I think they are holding out all the really good stuff for the update.

Yes, it is nice to have another Gary Oldman auto, and some of the other autos are nice too, but they seem to lack on the props this time around.

But there's GOFU to look forward to! ;)

My sights for a better amount of my money to be spent on cards are set on GOFU, I think we'd have alot more cards then GoF. Look at PoAU, awsome cards and a great set once you look past the fact you had about a handful of duds. I still think PoAU was a great set take away that fault.

Mike, I agree.  PoAU had some awesome cards in it. The triple auto, and the the three big autos, the dual costume and auto, some great props (not ridiculously numbered like some of them).  Yes, that was an awesome set.

Where I work is going to be selling the game (thyey have pictures up just to get me exsited) but it says its not available to the 11th is America getting it first?

oh come on! the film doesn't come out on the 18th! it comes out at 11:59 on the 17th! Go to the midnight shows! I already bought my tickets. Only one theater is Daytona is doing a midnight Potter, and it is in two theaters. More than 20 days before release 1 and a 1/2 theaters are already sold out

Me and my mm always wait a week or so before we go to let everything die down but we have to go a few days after it comes out because of Thanksgiving :) My mom really does like going to the movie, usually like renting them and watching them in the confort of are own home but she'll see Harry Potter for me 0:)

Yes, you usually get a box-topper, a few foils, and two base sets (possibly some cards missing from one) in each box

Has anybody heard anything about the promo cards for this set? All I've seen and heard about, thus far, are the San Diego ones. I'de like to get the standard set, whichever foil that is :-\

I only hope that Artbox have plans to distribute more, but who knows with them :P

I wish there was the sell sheet and 2 promos like for the SS set. I'm sure they'll be a binder promo, ever set had one right :-\

Unless I'm mistaken, the original PoA Binder didn't come with a promo card. Only the sets following it did (including CatCF).

Then there should be one fro GOF :-\

No mention so far of promos that I can remember, they usually give those as 5 case incentives and up or will binder case purchases, but they are giving costume and prop cards instead at the moment

Anybody know when the binders are supposed to ship? I can always get more drools when I show off my rare new cards in their proper context.  ::)

I'm still looking for the PoAU and SS binders. But I do want to get a GOF binder as well. I hope to get another box and if I can, I'll buy the binder as well. Dont they ship with the boxes :-\

Artbox is supposed to start shipping on Friday.  At least we know that by the middle of next week, some lucky people here will start posting their box and case breakdowns. :)

I would not mind getting them on the 18th, since I am seeing the film at midnight on the 17th....but any later than friday is just absurd. You would think they want to product to be live on or before the date the film is released. But that's artbox for ya.

Well, the likely shipping is Nov. 11 for East Coast, UK, and Japan, Nov. 14 for Midwest, and Nov. 16 for West Coast.  They did staggered shipping for POAU and SS.

Ever since Mike found a preliminary article about GoF - we have been wondering whether there is any truth in this "fabric as used in the making of the costumes...." rumour (as opposed to screen worn fabric - like Topps LOTR series)

Whilst some of the GoF costume cards will feature actual film worn fabric, other will contain fabrics used to make the costume. This is either because the costume will be used in a future film, or because Warner Bros needed to keep the costumes for display/exhibition purposes etc. The description on the back of the card will differentiate the fabric types clearly.

Other then the Death Eater costumes, which the flyer description seemed to indicate would be using materials used in the making of, do any others thus far seem like they will fall under that whoeful category?

I hope the Hermione, Harry, Cedric, Viktor, etc. are those worn in the movie  :o=

I think that's likely, since Triwizard Tournament outfits would only be worn for this one movie.  It's costumes like Dumbledore's and Rita Skeeter's that might be used for subsequent movies.

The Yule Ball get-ups should be used right, if I've spaced out during the books I dont recall another ball

I think all the students clothes could be the real deal.  Why?  Because they are all still growing and thse outfits may not even fit them later on.  Yes, the adults are done growing, so maybe it is theirs.  Either way, I don't like the idea,

I completely overlooked the tin that you were talking about. I remember looking at the old one and shrugging my shoulders. The tin that was added will go nice with the binder. Does anyone know how many tins will be in this set? I'm wondering whether Artbox will only have a few like they did for PoA ???

Hi folks - the mods and I are keeping the first post updated where possible so that all you really need to do to know the latest is check out the first post - it's been updated to reflect the news on the number of props/autos and costumes in the set, and also the fact that we believe there will be 3 autos available through redemption in the set.

I see we still possibly have two mystery autos.  I reckon they will be Cho and Madam Maxine.

Looks like the front features the dragon task and the back features the graveyard encounter.

When she said shipping, she meant that Artbox is shipping t distributors and drop shipping large orders. Artbox uses commercial carriers not the Post Office for this.

I think there are two tins.  One has the Triward champions and the other has the dragon task.  What looks like a third tin is the bottom of the dragon tin with packs in it. :)

think anyone will get lucky and have anything come to them today? I cannot wait to actually see what is in the set...since I still do not know everything. I bought a box for each of my little brothers to open after the movie Friday....I hope it comes in time

I don't even know if Tom will get his in today or still in a few days. I don't think we will see anything until later in the week, but I can not wait!

It's unlikely.  The east coast orders were shipped last Friday and aren't expected to arrive until later this week.

John is right.  I've had shipments from Artbox that came via UPS or FedEx.  I asked my UPS guy about Veteran's Day and he told me that they work on that day, but they get off on the Friday after Thanksgiving instead, giving them a 4-day weekend.

Doesn't Tom dropship? If so, doesn't that mean it comes straight from Artbox? Or does it get shipped to Tom and then to us?

If you pre-ordered cases, the cases will be drop-shipped directly from Artbox.  The people that pre-ordered boxes will have to wait for Tom to receive his shipment first so that he can then forward the boxes to them.  From what Tom's done in the past, he has the shipping labels already printed out so he can get the boxes posted immediately after their arrival. :D

OK!!  ;D  So one more question!! Dropship comes which way, UPS or FedEx?

Drop ship means whichever way Artbox chooses.  When I received my CatCF cases, two case came via UPS and one case came though FedEx.  BTW - FedEx delivered faster than UPS. ;)

I told my 5 year old this morning it was only 5 more days until we get to see the movie.  He gasped and giggled!!! Then he told me, "Mom, I'm so glad you told me!! It feels like sparkles are inside of me making me so happy!!!"  :rofl: :rofl:  ;D

Artbox told me that my cases are shipping on Wednesday and I live fairly close to them, so I'm hoping to get them on Thursday, Friday at the latest. :o=

I dount Tom will get his today...but wouldn't that be nice?

I know there are no sellers in FL getting theirs until Friday. Because of this, I am paying HUGE shipping to get a case to me overnight so that my brothers and I can open it after we see the movie on Saturday.

I expect to have mine Saturday at the latest since Tom ships fast, and items usually get to me the day after he ships....but i too want to see the movie first. We are going to the last possible show on Friday night.

This may have already been talked about...but I just read one of the flyers on the first page, and it says "Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) costume cards available only as a 2-case incentvie"

I guess that means that there is in fact no Potter costume cards in the set itself...that kind of stinks. And no Ron costume cards either?

We have only had two Ron costumes so far (the harder one to get from PoA) and the sweater in the update.  Shame too, because he has a nice striped shirt in this movie that would have had a lot of neat swatches.  Maybe for the update set?

I also find it odd to have no Harry costumes, as all the other sets had loads of them.  I think it would be a mistake for them to now put any in the actual product itself, as most people would buy the boxes (at least those who are not as in to this as all of us) in hopes to own a piece of Harry's clothes.  I sure hope it is just one Harry Costume that do this with, and that there will still be one in the set as well..... But this is probably wishful thinking.

I'll probably get my box before I got see the movie but I want to open my box before I see the movie. It would be nice to get it the day I go see it but it wouldnt come earlie enough.

There are quite a few unknown costumes (and props).  One of them could be a Ron costume.  His Yule Ball outfit would be perfect and have a ton of variants with all of the lace and ruffles.

The only real Ron card I want is his dress robe :P

Do we know what kind of Hermione card thats going to be. If I remember Roz has posted "Hermione Card" :-\

We don't know anything about the Hermione costume, other than that there will be one.  Let's hope it's from the Yule Ball -- anything but another black school robe!

From playing the video game, you get to see "cards" with actual movie pictures on them.  Hermione is wearing another pink sweater at some point in this movie as well, so it could be that or the gown.  Either way, I bet it is pink.

Yeah, me too, which means I need to own it since I have both the others..... Shame they didn't have a pink one for her in SS at all.  Come tot hink of it, they didn't have her in SS at all, did they :-\
