Here are some pics of the little one - Currently I am leaning toward Gandalf the Grey, but am open to suggestion or do you think that is a fitting name

Ahh... he's adorable! :-*

In keeping with the LOTR theme, I also quite like Shadowfax (quite shadowlike)

That kitten is so adorable.  I have two cats, but they just are so precious when they are kittens. Go with Gandolf the Grey.  I like it.

Becks is that a particular breed you have? I don't know anything about cats, and Mark has had 2 cats (always "orange" since it's his favourite colour) but Gandalf (temporary forum name ;)) is absoloutely gorgeous!

Call him Gerbil...Gerbil the kitten. Hehe, I'm so just kidding.  >:D

I think Aslan is a great name for a cat (Narnia).  But since he's grey, I think Gandalf fits.  8)

Oh what a beautiful kitten  :D  For what it is worth Gandalf gets my vote (unless you want to go with the ever popular Little Tiny Bill  ).  But how did you get a little tiny kitten to pose like that?  Just soooo cute  ;D

The kitten is so adorable and I think Gandolf the Grey suits him  just fine :D

Mark once had an orange cat. It had a prob with its' butt hole. It was a medical condition. Very sad. I do however believe that Gandolf the Grey does indeed suit the animal, and is probably the best way to go, however alternatives could be;-  little grey gobsh*te, erin grey, grey matter, grey goose, lady grey(hmm) or grey nun (please see http://www.greynun.org ).  (:D#

just an idea

and anyhow, have you thought of the consequences? He could become analey challenged in later life, I hope you have budgeted for a large supply of sticky tape. It is a fact that in later years, leakage of the posterior can be quite costly. I hope you have a walmart or staples nearby.

Staples!  I know it's a store, it just struck me as funny.

: Re: Help pick a name for my New KITTEN
: chris October 27, 2005, 03:19:26 AM
it would be funny only I went there the other day to pick up paper, envelopes and such, and then proceeded to forget to buy staples.

: Re: Help pick a name for my New KITTEN
: chris October 27, 2005, 03:20:09 AM
perhaps call it staples

: Re: Help pick a name for my New KITTEN
: Roz October 27, 2005, 05:02:21 AM
Yes yes it's true, Mark's cat was run over used up about 8 of it's 9 lives and lost it's tail... and control in it's rear area, and forever from that moment on was on dry and horrible food... poor thing...

Sadly Toffee is no more :(

Talking of staples I knocked over a pack today... a very big pack... so there's probably some down the back of the sofa Chris but it might just be cheaper to buy a new pack than drive all the way up here ;)

ohh how cute  :-* Gandalf the Grey is the greatest name, it suits sooo much, I hope you go with Gandalf....

I will wait a few weeks to see the personality come out, right now ankle biter would fit.

I really do like Aslan Kelly that is a great suggestion.   I don't know if I ever posted the final results last year with my kitten that is now 1 year old, but I ended up going with Shrek (it is a girl) but I didn't know that for sure at the time, so I stuck with Shrek.

I guess if I named this one Donkey that would be a good pair, or puss in boots :-[  That might be just mean, you really can't shorten that one at all, yelling out the door to come inside for the night :o  Who knows what the neighbors might think

My cats called Chocolate, so my neighbours hear me most nights calling out for chocolate  ::)...quite fitting given Im a self confessed chocoholic

Does he look like a chocolate?  Maybe I should go with beer, because I love a cold beer and maybe a neighbor will give me one ;)

: blackcat20 October 29, 2005, 07:28:54 PM
ah, shes kind of black with a chocolatey reddish tinge, as well as white patches...kind of like top deck, but the other way around...

now yelling "beer" out the door might be a touch too strange... ;D
