: SS master set on eBay : kbmum October 16, 2005, 03:53:31 AM The only item that appears to be missing is the sell sheet:

That's a pretty impressive price!! ::) I've just looked through the rest of their Potter auctions and noticed they're all on the expensive side ... Wonder who will tell them they need a sell sheet to truly call it a 'Master Set' and what about decent photos of all the prop cards? :-\ : Re: SS master set on eBay : Tower October 17, 2005, 01:26:19 AM Way too expensive, it won't sell, if there isn't an idiot. ;)
: Re: SS master set on eBay : Anna October 17, 2005, 02:05:27 AM I agree Tower, it is too expensive. ::) The seller didn't even show pictures of all the prop cards (letters, chocolate frog, wizard candy). Those pictures would make a big difference in the price the seller could ask for.
: Re: SS master set on eBay : Roz October 17, 2005, 01:33:48 PM I think this would be a better deal, covers all the bases - maybe I'd upgrade two of the letter cards later on, but there's plenty of change left over compared to the one at the top of this thread ;)

: Re: SS master set on eBay : Sharon October 18, 2005, 01:28:29 AM It is odd that the seller didn't use more pictures. I had a look at their other auctions and all the 'big' cards (coins, platform ticket etc) are for sale separately as well with pictures.
: Re: SS master set on eBay : kbmum October 18, 2005, 02:14:42 AM Heaven help me if I don't include fees and postage in an item so valuable. (Should I ever be so fortunate to have one for sale.) ;D I thought the same thing. Besides, postal insurance protects both the seller and the buyer. For $7,300, I'd be willing to pay for the postage and insurance. ::) : Re: SS master set on eBay : Nienna October 18, 2005, 02:17:29 AM If I'd got that kind of money to spend on a master set then I'd be flying over to the US to collect it from him in person!! :o ;D
: Re: Sorceror's Stone master set : The Razzer September 21, 2007, 03:30:00 AM i'm looking to sell my SS master set to recoup some money for a family holiday.
just to gauge opinion from my fellow shackers, is anyone on here interested in purchasing it as a master set or would it be better to sell off individual cards? i wouldn't be keen on the latter has having managed to put the set together i'd really like to keep it together. it really is a master set - i can't think of anything i'm missing. all 3 wizard coin cards are numbered #17/40, which is great to have all 3 the same. Also will include the house tie set from the san-diego comic con. i see one ebay store selling the 3 card set for $2,000, and Tomunique had one master set previously for $4,800 i think it was. This set is one of the best for prop and costume cards. and there are a lot of first time signers in the auto list who haven't signed again. check out the pics below. I know Tom had a master set up BIN for quite some time...it didn't sell, so he broke it down and sold everything individually. When you say "3 card set", are you talking about the 3 coins on ebay right now? If so, that too has been listed at that price for quite a while now! :-\ (When Tom sold his, the coins sold for about $400 (or so) each) So...if you sell as a whole set...you may be sitting on it for a while... depending on your price. BUT...there are a lot of new collectors, so it may sell. Double BUT...selling individually may be better because there are collectors out there trying to piece together their existing sets... he he..like myself! ;D I see a few I need!! 8) So, like I said...tough decision! :P : Re: SS master set on eBay : The Razzer September 21, 2007, 05:10:24 AM When you say "3 card set", are you talking about the 3 coins on ebay right now? yeah, the 3 coin cards. all different numbers as well. and you're right in saying they have been up for a while. so i'm not sure what to do. i think i'll try as a master set to start with, put a BIN on and accept offers and then if thats a non seller, i'll list individually. but before i do that, i'll check on the shack first to give guys and gals first dibs at them. : Re: SS master set on eBay : Jon September 21, 2007, 07:02:31 AM Wow, there are some really good cards there. I too need a few of those cards you have to offer. Im not sure if I would buy the master set (I just cant afford it), but if you do decide to sell individually, I would love to have the opportunity to buy some. Thanks for letting us know!
: Re: SS master set on eBay : iverson35 October 22, 2007, 10:13:33 AM Do you still have this set for sale?
: Re: SS master set on eBay : The Razzer October 22, 2007, 07:01:37 PM yes i do.
PM sent. : Re: SS master set on eBay : sfmuggle October 26, 2007, 01:34:25 AM what's a "sell sheet"? just curious
: Re: SS master set on eBay : kbmum October 26, 2007, 01:50:25 AM It's a color flyer that's used to help dealers sell a set. Sometimes it has really good info and pictures of some of the inserts, other times there's basically no info at all. ::)

Thanks. : Re: SS master set on eBay : Roz October 26, 2007, 02:48:33 AM Ha ha - don't start that again - arguments over whether incentive cards/unredeemed redemption cards/empty boxes/sealed boxes/empty packs are necessary to complete a master set have been rife on this forum. I think we all just decided to collect what we liked & made us smile, but you're right - it's nice to know 'what's out there' for each set. Hopefully the majority of it should be up for viewing in the price guide - but if not - just let us know :)
: Re: SS master set on eBay : sfmuggle October 26, 2007, 02:51:11 AM thanks Roz :D
