I thought I'd note anything particularly funny from the film, and hopefully try to explain and translate one or two bits of English English English to other forms of English to help explain some of the jokes and teasings.

A few of the things I've noticed I'll note here, if you can remember more please add them

1)  A rather a posh fridge in the UK is made by a company called SMEG (*cue smirks from Red Dwarf fans*) - anyway Wallace and Gromit have a Fridge in the Kitchen made by a company called SMUG (I presume that translates ok).

2) During the second attempt at "a little harmless brain alteration" Wallace picks up a magazine to read - it's called "Eh Oop" magazine - in the UK there's a celebrity gossip magazine called "hello magazine", and in the North - really lovely people say "ehh oop" as a sort-of all encompassing "hello and how are you?" sort of greeting.

3) Stinking Bishop (which is after all the hero of the entire movie) is a pretty hard to find cheese in the UK - they only make 100 cheeses a week and have already broken out in a sweat over how they are going to be able to cope with demand (as they can't see any way to increase production) - let me add that the Wensleydale cheese factories were entirely saved from declining cheese sales when Wallace and Gromit first mentioned them ;)

4) Does "Totty" (Lady Tottington) mean anything in American/Australian? Some Shack guys can explain that to you if not ;)

5) One of the shop signs (from the scene just after the failed "big rabbit attraction" escapade is first attempted) is called "a close shave" which is the name of the third 30 minute Aardman W&G adventure.

6) One of the observation (red eye alert) statues in one of the Anti Pesto protected gardens was a turtle, which was used in one of the "heat electric" creature comforts adverts with which Aardman really made their name.

7) One of the first pictures in the starting credits was of Gromit graduating from "Dogwarts university" if anyone needs that explaining to them I'll chase them off the forum with a feather duster!!

8) The nail gun Gromit uses to make the Hutch for erm... the rabbit called... erm "Hutch" :rofl: is branded "Botch", I wonder whether this is a dig at Bosche, makers of power tools, because a "botched job" in the UK is basically a poor one... poor Gromit ;)

9) You probably noticed this one, and it's probably easily translatable worldwide, but the Church's stained glass window shattered by the Were-Rabbit is of St George fighting the dragon - he's our patron Saint :)

10) As Jo's already pointed out, the spray that Totty uses on Victor up in her (very posh) greenhouse, to protect the were-rabbit was "pansy spray", of course it must be to dampen and mist pansys, but a name in the UK for wimps is a "pansy", maybe that translates ok, I don't know ;)

11) Victor calls Tooty "his filly" - filly in English at least is the name for a female horse and of course so many of the aristocracy are fans of horses ::) - so it's really a rather insulting thing to say really.

Do you have Hares in America or Australia (even less likely)?

Do you have Marrows in America? It's like a giant Zucchini :)

Any more Jo and Mark? Anyone else seen it and remembered anything? I can't have remembered anywhere near to everything ;D

One of the other stained glass windows depicted baby Jesus crying, and Mary comforting him. The surrounding crowd (wise men, Joseph et al. all had their fingers in their ears  :)

ok ok - I had an 'adventurous' lunch today, soup and nice bread followed by crackers and cheese - what cheese? STINKING BISHOP (which was briefly available from the Windsor Farm Shop - it's on a certain large estate in Windsor (no not Elton John's estate!) - I'll give you a hint - the workers on this estate refer to this shop as "Liz n Phil's 8 til late"

Which is of course hilarious, no one calls HRH Liz :P

Anyway, we managed to get hold of a stinking bishop. Oh dear LORD does it stink! In fact, it smells so terrible that frankly, although we were delighted to own it - no one fancied eating it.

But in the name of advancing science (or something!) we dove right in. And it turns out to be a very lovely mild creamy soft delicate flavoured cheese, an absoloute delight. But I would warn you - if you serve it to guests serve it outside, honestly - with that pong no one will want to eat it unless forced.

So why not - it's the beginning of winter - it seems the perfect time to invite people around for a BBQ followed by crackers and stinking bishop ;)

Its out on DVD on the 20th Feb (well in the UK at least) I can't wiat to get my copy ;D

In the US, this was released on Feruary 7th.  I just might have to check this movie out. ;)

The extras are just great or should I say cracking ;D The short 'Fright night' is totally cool and the cracking contraptions is super ;D

We finally saw this in the hotel when we took the kids to Sea World.  It was too funny!  BEWARE THE MOON!!!!  :rofl: :rofl:  I'm sure there was some inside English humor that I didn't catch, but we all loved it.
