Original and authentic plasticine Aardman Morph for sale...
 
This is an extremely rare opportunity to buy an original plasticine Morph made
by Aardman Animations supremo Peter Lord himself.

It is a fundraising gift from Aardman Animations to Children’s Scrapstore in
Bristol. It comes with a letter of authentication written by Peter on Aardman
headed business paper.
 
This Morph is constructed around a rigid internal frame to ensure longevity and
is mounted inside a Perspex box.

Thats great. I was suprised to see morph is still on one of the kids art shows, gee I rremeber him when I was little. I had no idea he was related to Aardman though :)

From what I recall, Morph was only a small bit in a kids programme which ran for years and years here in the UK, called 'Vision On'.
I suppose 'Art Attack' is the nearest you'd come to it these days, but back in the 70's and 80's and up until it went off the air, it was presented by a very talented man called Tony Hart and I believe Morph was a character done for this show. He proved a very popular character too and was developed further - the biggest problem was the amount of time it took to do the short pieces which were shown each week, but they were often very funny and a delight to watch.
I LOVED watching that show when I was a kid! ;D

Looking at the photos on that auction brought back a flood of memories and I wish the charity every success in raising funds to continue with their work.

It wasn't Vision on when I say it, it was called something else still with Tony Hart though. Art Attack is similar but not the same I remeber it being proper art not starnge cartoons. Morph is on a kids TV show to this day can't remember which not really sure what I was watching. Coulds possible be the show called SmArt.

Yeah, I can't remember what Vision On went onto be called, but Tony Hart stuck with it right the way through.
Art Attack catches the kid's interest even though it jars on the nerves (MUST be getting old! LOL) and Neil Buchanan does a creditable job of it - I know Adam used to watch it and enjoyed it enormously.
SmArt ... yep I know the programme you mean ... with that blond haired bloke called Mark and a lass called Kirsten. I believe he's a trained cartoonist, Kirsten used to be a presenter on one of the teatime kids tv programmes before she teamed up to co-present SmArt.
I think it's wonderful that Morph is still on tv and the fact that much of what he does is ageless and will appeal to all ages, will mean he could go on in definitely. ;D
Still, neither of these other programmes are a patch on Tony Hart IMHO! ;) ;D
Tell you what ... I only have to hear the music from Vision On ... very  distinctive .... ^-^

Didn't see you new post had just modified my last one. I have a feeling it was 'Take Hart' in my day (80s). I like Art Attack but I doze off when it does the bog ones.

Yep! Well remembered! 'Take Hart' ... *sighs*.... bet he must be a very old man by now if he hasn't passed away. I prefer the gentler approach he had towards the programme rather than how it is these days. Most of the time it all sounds rushed and garbled, almost as though the presenters are frightened that if they don't gab it out at ninety miles an hour then the kids' attention span won't be held for the duration of the programme. Ridiculous really if you think about it ... it just makes my ears and brain ache trying to keep up with it and as a consequence I don't enjoy what I'm watching. ::)

Oh yes much better. Do you remeber Johnny Ball he was very good and very educational. They don't make them like they used too. (and Zoe Ball is his daughter if anyone didn't know)
