One of the props will be a trophy from the trophy room.  I read about it in my last issue of TUFF STUFF magazine.

Is that the trophy shown at Comic-Con?

Considering that the wizard coins were multiple-case incentives, I'll bet the trophy will be the same way.  What does the article say, gbream111?

That is a big mistake.  I would rather have the actual costume.  If they start doing that like LOTR....... Can someone email Artbox and confirm this?  Also, is there going to be a filmcard per box???

The way I read the article, there will be 1 auto for every 2 boxes, 1 real or pseudo costume in every box, 1 prop for every 2 boxes, and 1 film card in every box.  That would mean that each box will have 3 inserts. :o  I don't think this sounds right, matey. :-\   (:D#

Me neither.  I just emailed them and told them I read this article in a magazine (did not say which one).  I also attached a copy of the article in a Word document for them to see.  I asked about the costumes (the "fake" ones) as well as the film cards.  We will see what they come back with on this one.

We want costumes that have been worn >:(

My guess is that the magazine is in error.  As Anna pointed out, there appear to be other errors.

I hope so, prop material would be much more passable.

I hope they dont use material used from the making, that would be so cheap

It worked for LOTR because the costumes were so beautiful and elaborate, and many if not all of the materials were woven especially for the movie and never seen elsewhere, but why would we want a swatch of a grey tee shirt that is "like" one used in the movie... it's also "like" one we can get in the shops down the road.

I told my husband about this, and he was wonderinf if maybe, say they had Dragon scales, that they would use one similar to the ones on the actual Dragon, but not want to take the Dragon a part.  Then, I reminded him that a Dragon is not a costume.

They would probably use scales from thedragon. I mean, like what are they going to do with a used dragon?  ::)

Thats what I was thinking. Like, when are they ever going to use Harry's First Task robe again so why the need to use material made from it.

I got a response, and I must say that I am dissapointed.  Not only were none of my questions answered, but they didn't even confirm that the advertisement I sent was real or not. So again, we know nothing.  Here is the response  (you would think with the set just around the corner, they would have some sort of details by now).

Well, I'm going to ask the question straight up! I hope they donut use pieces of the material used to make them because it seems so stupid. LotR I can understand because those are wonderful movie (not to mention Peter Jackson probably didn't want his wonderful costumes in cards ;) ) but Harry Potter is not as big as that and it would be Warner Bros. fault as well...better stop talking because I'm starting not to make sense :rofl:

In a way, that's good news from Artbox.  If the company hasn't officially released info, then the clip from the article probably isn't accurate.  Don't forget, Tuff Stuff is a sports card magazine.  Maybe the person who wrote the article assumed the HP set was similar to the LOTR sets.

As for a dragon prop/creature card, it's possible even though the dragon is CGI.  Buckbeak was CGI, but they still had to make a prop so the actors could use it in their scenes.

There is a real dragon (I think I've posted pictures :P ) so it is possible

I liked that part also, but it's just so unlikely to happen. :P  I do wish Artbox would get on the stiick and release some real info on this set. ::)

Unfortunately, Sara's email indicates they won't be releasing info for at least a couple of weeks. :-\  For the other sets, I had placed my pre-order by this time.  I'm not pre-ordering even one box until I hear more about this set.

Yes we want to know more before we hand over our money (or the money we have robbed from the bank :P). For all we know the best thing might be Cedric's snotty hanky.

I had asked Tom for the prices for a preorder.  Still don't have an answer...so I can't preorder yet :-\

I'm ready for some info. I hope they released it by mid-October so I can go back to saving for all the toys and games coming out with the release of the movie ::) One can hope :o=

I could be wrong on this, but unless this set proves to be beyond awesome with it's inserts (which, you never know, it might), it just might be the point where people start to get fed up with artbox, to the point of abandoning the cards; this is the least we've known about a major movie card release this close to it's release date; I mean, heck, at this point, we know just as much about the King Kong cards as we do the Goblet of Fire cards. Or maybe it's just me talking.  :P (:D# I just think, if they don't get their act together, or come out with a product so good it makes us forget all the delays/lack of information/etc., they will start to lose some of their most loyal.

Or maybe material USED to make the tidy whities  :rofl: I sure hope they don't use just the material!! I know I will be soooo disappointed :'( I just love to get a piece of the costume actually WORN by the actors!  ;D It just makes me feel good  ;D when I get them! I know you all know what I am talking about! I think that's already started to happen.  From private conversations with people here, most of them will be pre-ordering far less of GOF than any of the other HP releases.  That might change a bit once info is released, but we'll see.

How muching tempting has started for the film loads, how much for the cards nout!

 ??? I have taliked to alot of dealers on these cases and they are cutting back. They said they do not want to get stuck with alot of product. Thus the low case run. But if artbox gets sneaky and puts some great autos in at the last second, we could have a very hot product like POA was.  ;D What do yall think? :)

Possibly, though 1) it would have to be a really great auto to beat Gleeson as Mad-Eye and Richardson as Rita, and 2) auto's don't always make the set, especially as there have been some really great prop and costume cards before this. Just my 2 cents. :p

I don't know that it's possible to have a repeat of POA.  It was the first HP set, had some good autos, and caught both card collectors and HP fans by surprise.  There were also 9 pack-pulled props, of which four were limited to less than 100.  Look at the price guide and you'll see that those cards still command high prices on eBay.  Even if Artbox could duplicate the box run and the limited-run inserts, I just don't think it would be as popular as POA.

 :) That will be most likely be the case. With pre-order prices at 519.99 for a case I wonder if GOF will be worth it. Hopefully artbox will suprise use all with a nice treat. ;D

519.99 a case? Really? I'm getting mine for 510 from Tomunique. Least, that's the price I last heard quoted.  0:)

 :) WOW!  That was the price $510 with shipping. They must order a ton of product! :o They will even let you pay it off in installments up untill release! My business will go to them. :D No word yet on any autos or costumes. Will let you know when my son hears anything from his friend.(His dad works for artbox!) 8)
