: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : gbream111 September 20, 2005, 02:11:32 AM One of the props will be a trophy from the trophy room. I read about it in my last issue of TUFF STUFF magazine.
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : EmmasOneandOnly September 20, 2005, 02:12:50 AM Is that the trophy shown at Comic-Con?
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : kbmum September 20, 2005, 02:26:02 AM Considering that the wizard coins were multiple-case incentives, I'll bet the trophy will be the same way. What does the article say, gbream111?
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : Morningangel-Iola September 20, 2005, 02:38:15 AM Yeah if you buy every single case going maybe.... Arrrrrr

Here it is : Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : Morningangel-Iola September 20, 2005, 02:45:44 AM Naff material from the costume making :(
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : darthmactor September 20, 2005, 02:51:52 AM Material from the costume making? Oh God, please say it ain't so. :'(
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : rns91294 September 20, 2005, 03:11:43 AM That is a big mistake. I would rather have the actual costume. If they start doing that like LOTR....... Can someone email Artbox and confirm this? Also, is there going to be a filmcard per box???
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : Anna September 20, 2005, 03:18:35 AM The way I read the article, there will be 1 auto for every 2 boxes, 1 real or pseudo costume in every box, 1 prop for every 2 boxes, and 1 film card in every box. That would mean that each box will have 3 inserts. :o I don't think this sounds right, matey. :-\ (:D#
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : rns91294 September 20, 2005, 03:20:34 AM Me neither. I just emailed them and told them I read this article in a magazine (did not say which one). I also attached a copy of the article in a Word document for them to see. I asked about the costumes (the "fake" ones) as well as the film cards. We will see what they come back with on this one.
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : Morningangel-Iola September 20, 2005, 04:14:37 AM We want costumes that have been worn >:(
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : kbmum September 20, 2005, 04:15:44 AM My guess is that the magazine is in error. As Anna pointed out, there appear to be other errors.
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : Morningangel-Iola September 20, 2005, 04:23:26 AM I hope so, prop material would be much more passable.
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : EmmasOneandOnly September 20, 2005, 06:04:16 AM I hope they dont use material used from the making, that would be so cheap
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : Roz September 20, 2005, 01:33:08 PM It worked for LOTR because the costumes were so beautiful and elaborate, and many if not all of the materials were woven especially for the movie and never seen elsewhere, but why would we want a swatch of a grey tee shirt that is "like" one used in the movie... it's also "like" one we can get in the shops down the road.
We aren't stupid! : Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : rns91294 September 20, 2005, 09:59:10 PM Still no response from them from my email. I will let you know as soon as I get something. Am I allowed to post their response here?
I told my husband about this, and he was wonderinf if maybe, say they had Dragon scales, that they would use one similar to the ones on the actual Dragon, but not want to take the Dragon a part. Then, I reminded him that a Dragon is not a costume. : Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : LikORish-Spider September 20, 2005, 11:12:41 PM Still no response from them from my email. I told my husband about this, and he was wonderinf if maybe, say they had Dragon scales, that they would use one similar to the ones on the actual Dragon, but not want to take the Dragon a part. Then, I reminded him that a Dragon is not a costume. They would probably use scales from thedragon. I mean, like what are they going to do with a used dragon? ::) : Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : EmmasOneandOnly September 21, 2005, 12:08:38 AM Thats what I was thinking. Like, when are they ever going to use Harry's First Task robe again so why the need to use material made from it.
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : rns91294 September 21, 2005, 12:16:53 AM I got a response, and I must say that I am dissapointed. Not only were none of my questions answered, but they didn't even confirm that the advertisement I sent was real or not. So again, we know nothing. Here is the response (you would think with the set just around the corner, they would have some sort of details by now).
Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. We are still confirming the set details awaiting for approvals from our Licensor. We will be announcing news flashes accordingly through our distributors with the latest informations, so please check back with us in a couple weeks. Thank you again. Artbox Entertainment Customer Service : Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : EmmasOneandOnly September 21, 2005, 12:36:43 AM Well, I'm going to ask the question straight up! I hope they donut use pieces of the material used to make them because it seems so stupid. LotR I can understand because those are wonderful movie (not to mention Peter Jackson probably didn't want his wonderful costumes in cards ;) ) but Harry Potter is not as big as that and it would be Warner Bros. fault as well...better stop talking because I'm starting not to make sense
EDIT: Message Sent, I'll get back to you when I get it 8) : Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : HPfamily September 21, 2005, 12:52:48 AM I mean, like what are they going to do with a used dragon? ::)
        : Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : kbmum September 21, 2005, 01:08:10 AM In a way, that's good news from Artbox. If the company hasn't officially released info, then the clip from the article probably isn't accurate. Don't forget, Tuff Stuff is a sports card magazine. Maybe the person who wrote the article assumed the HP set was similar to the LOTR sets.
As for a dragon prop/creature card, it's possible even though the dragon is CGI. Buckbeak was CGI, but they still had to make a prop so the actors could use it in their scenes. : Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : EmmasOneandOnly September 21, 2005, 01:11:20 AM There is a real dragon (I think I've posted pictures :P ) so it is possible
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : rns91294 September 21, 2005, 01:57:29 AM The thing I DID like about this article though, was the the though of getting 3 inserts per box :o
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : Anna September 21, 2005, 02:19:09 AM The thing I DID like about this article though, was the the though of getting 3 inserts per box :o I liked that part also, but it's just so unlikely to happen. :P I do wish Artbox would get on the stiick and release some real info on this set. ::) : Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : kbmum September 21, 2005, 02:53:31 AM Unfortunately, Sara's email indicates they won't be releasing info for at least a couple of weeks. :-\ For the other sets, I had placed my pre-order by this time. I'm not pre-ordering even one box until I hear more about this set.
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : Morningangel-Iola September 21, 2005, 03:00:29 AM Yes we want to know more before we hand over our money (or the money we have robbed from the bank :P). For all we know the best thing might be Cedric's snotty hanky.
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : kbmum September 21, 2005, 03:03:13 AM Or Voldemort's tidy whities.
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : Morningangel-Iola September 21, 2005, 03:09:34 AM Eww what a thought
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : rns91294 September 21, 2005, 03:41:56 AM I had asked Tom for the prices for a preorder. Still don't have an answer...so I can't preorder yet :-\
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : EmmasOneandOnly September 21, 2005, 06:17:27 AM I'm ready for some info. I hope they released it by mid-October so I can go back to saving for all the toys and games coming out with the release of the movie ::) One can hope :o=
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : EmmasOneandOnly September 21, 2005, 06:22:18 AM Well,
I got the same e-mail Sara did from Artbox ::) : Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : darthmactor September 21, 2005, 07:51:05 AM I could be wrong on this, but unless this set proves to be beyond awesome with it's inserts (which, you never know, it might), it just might be the point where people start to get fed up with artbox, to the point of abandoning the cards; this is the least we've known about a major movie card release this close to it's release date; I mean, heck, at this point, we know just as much about the King Kong cards as we do the Goblet of Fire cards. Or maybe it's just me talking. :P (:D# I just think, if they don't get their act together, or come out with a product so good it makes us forget all the delays/lack of information/etc., they will start to lose some of their most loyal.
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : rosewhite September 21, 2005, 08:10:20 AM Or Voldemort's tidy whities. Or maybe material USED to make the tidy whities  I sure hope they don't use just the material!! I know I will be soooo disappointed :'( I just love to get a piece of the costume actually WORN by the actors! ;D It just makes me feel good ;D when I get them! I know you all know what I am talking about! I think Artbox is making a big mistake if they start using cheap material for their cards, we all expect the items we spend our hard earned money for to at least be WORTH what we are spending it on!! >:() >:() >:() Well now I am just in ONE OF THOSE MOODS!! >:() >:() >:D I half hope the article is wrong (But I really would like all of the cards that could be pulled!) and then, the REAL costume cards will go through the roof!!! Thanks for letting me vent! >:() Maybe we should all get together and let Artbox know how we feel? Not that it would do any good! : Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : rosewhite September 21, 2005, 08:15:12 AM sorry didn't want any one to think that I wanted the material used to make LV tidy whities!! ??? Not what I intended to say but, I always do say the dumbest things (by mistake) anyway!! I hope you have the good since not to laugh too hard at me          I laughed when I reread what I said!! (pain killers remember!)
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : kbmum September 21, 2005, 08:19:22 AM I just think, if they don't get their act together, or come out with a product so good it makes us forget all the delays/lack of information/etc., they will start to lose some of their most loyal. I think that's already started to happen. From private conversations with people here, most of them will be pre-ordering far less of GOF than any of the other HP releases. That might change a bit once info is released, but we'll see. : Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : Morningangel-Iola September 22, 2005, 02:34:00 AM How muching tempting has started for the film loads, how much for the cards nout!
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : sixpence33 September 23, 2005, 10:47:05 PM ??? I have taliked to alot of dealers on these cases and they are cutting back. They said they do not want to get stuck with alot of product. Thus the low case run. But if artbox gets sneaky and puts some great autos in at the last second, we could have a very hot product like POA was. ;D What do yall think? :)
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : darthmactor September 23, 2005, 10:54:58 PM Possibly, though 1) it would have to be a really great auto to beat Gleeson as Mad-Eye and Richardson as Rita, and 2) auto's don't always make the set, especially as there have been some really great prop and costume cards before this. Just my 2 cents. :p
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : kbmum September 23, 2005, 11:15:00 PM I don't know that it's possible to have a repeat of POA. It was the first HP set, had some good autos, and caught both card collectors and HP fans by surprise. There were also 9 pack-pulled props, of which four were limited to less than 100. Look at the price guide and you'll see that those cards still command high prices on eBay. Even if Artbox could duplicate the box run and the limited-run inserts, I just don't think it would be as popular as POA.
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : sixpence33 September 23, 2005, 11:40:41 PM :) That will be most likely be the case. With pre-order prices at 519.99 for a case I wonder if GOF will be worth it. Hopefully artbox will suprise use all with a nice treat. ;D
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : darthmactor September 23, 2005, 11:49:58 PM 519.99 a case? Really? I'm getting mine for 510 from Tomunique. Least, that's the price I last heard quoted. 0:)
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : sixpence33 September 24, 2005, 12:04:57 AM :o That sounds about right. Did they quote you shipping? :)
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : darthmactor September 24, 2005, 12:06:31 AM That includes shipping. It's the same as when I preordered the SS case from him.
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : sixpence33 September 24, 2005, 12:10:22 AM :o= That sounds like a great deal! How long have you been ordering from them? 8) I would buy a case at that price. :o
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : darthmactor September 24, 2005, 12:16:16 AM Um...9 plus months, give or take. Once I find a good seller, they usually have my loyalty as a buyer.
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : sixpence33 September 24, 2005, 12:29:25 AM :) Thanks! Will check them out. Keep me posted on any thing new on the GOF product. :)
: Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : Roz September 24, 2005, 02:24:08 PM :o= That sounds like a great deal! How long have you been ordering from them? 8) I would buy a case at that price. :o Yes, this seller is well respected and is quite popular on this board as he drops us competition prizes very often :) : Re: One of the props WILL be a trophy from the trophy room : sixpence33 September 25, 2005, 01:56:22 AM :) WOW! That was the price $510 with shipping. They must order a ton of product! :o They will even let you pay it off in installments up untill release! My business will go to them. :D No word yet on any autos or costumes. Will let you know when my son hears anything from his friend.(His dad works for artbox!) 8)
