Looks like my husbands new contract at work will pass, so I'll be able to get a case!  I can't wait for this set.  I'm going to try for my first master set with this one.  I wonder what the costume varients will be?  Sweat stained Hurley t-shirt?  :P  Blood stained Jack dress shirt?  :P

Everything I have seen says that Lost is coming out in Nov, but I haven't seen any info on the set and even  checked inkworks website nothing.  That is very unlike Inkworks to not have any info with a month to go.  Do you think it is pushed back?  I think I will get some but I really wanted to hear something on the set first.  It seems like some IW releases from TV series tend to have fewer inserts than later seasons.  For example alias season 1 was 1 auto approx every 78 packs and 1 pw per 39 packs with 24 packs per box (I think those odds are pretty close to correct).

Didn't some of the other first season releases have odds of less than 1 auto and 1 PW per box???  I sure hope it is 1 auto and 1 pw per box.

I just checked IW website
Smallville season 1 was 1:59 for autos (only 2 different ones) and 1:59 for PW (4 diff)
Andromeda season 1 was 1:45 autos (7) and 1:65 for PW (4 diff)
No odds for buffy season 1
Angel Season 1
Charmed season 1
But guessing by the lack of inserts I bet they were tough.

Of course I realize all of these were realeased a few years back, but it just IMO seems to me that the shows have enough hype to carry the first season releases without two pulls per box as long as they get some top signers or PW that attract people.

We will see I sure hope it is 1 auto and 1 PW per box, but I am surprised we haven't heard anything yet, maybe they are having a hard time getting cards signed?

I'll make a $1 wager that we get information on this by Tuesday of next week.

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?
: Roz October 17, 2005, 10:30:00 PM
SHOW SPOILER BELOW

I'll make a $1 wager that "the others" they discovered last week weren't "the others" we fear! i.e. there's more... i.e. this island is in severe danger of overcrowding. It's starting to sound more like a hustling bustling high population place like Tokyo than a deserted, uncharted island ::)

Hooray that Rose's wife Bernard is safe and well ;D

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?
: Bryanjs14 October 17, 2005, 11:16:31 PM
I cried when I found that out.

Oh most definetly, the people we met are DEFINETLY not the others. Remember Michael left to go find Walt...my guess is he will meet the REAL "others"

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?

Hooray that Rose's wife Bernard is safe and well

I know I shouldn't have really read this bit, being a spoiler and everything but I just had to

Is this Bernard a la Blackadder?   Nursie would be so proud

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?

The American pronounciation of Bernard is completely and bafflingly different, and hence I didn't think of this  he hee

I asked about the set today and here's the reply I got from Inkworks:

Hi Kelly,

Thanks for writing.

I believe that information will be posted on our website sometime tomorrow.

Please check the website (http://www.inkworks.com/) then.

Wow!! Well, looks like there will definetly be info by next Tuesday!! I cannot wait to see the initial listing for it simply because in the past Inkworks usually lists everything they have right up front, with the exception of an autyograph or two that they get in late.

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?
: beckham1 October 18, 2005, 05:01:10 AM
I got the same email just after I posted the question I sent out an email to Artworks   asking what was with the lack of info.

We will see what is up Tues!  I can hardly wait

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?

Looks to me like the information will be up any minute now  "I'm looking deep into my computer monitor. It's a little fuzzy, but I foresee it becoming clearer before the clock strikes nine (uh...that would be Eastern Daylight Time )."  This was a quote from an Inkworks rep on another board posted just a few minutes ago.

Good luck to all you Master set completists!  :o
I understand if you are noy trying to go for them all!

Thats a lot of cards, and the 3 auto PW cards will be toughies!

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?
: Bryanjs14 October 18, 2005, 06:35:26 AM
WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW

The costumes are INCREDABLE. No duplicate costumes, I really like that! The autographs could be a LITTLE better, there are definetly a couple cast members missing. I love the costume auto cards, although I am sure they will be WAY overpriced

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?
: ztaylork October 18, 2005, 06:38:23 AM
Unless they are put in 1 in every case, which wouldn't be too far of a stretch as the autographed costume card of lex is a 3 case incentive for smallville, which with three of them hopefully they aren't too crazy hard to pull, we shall see.

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?
: canny19 October 18, 2005, 06:56:38 AM
Thats what I was thinking too, or maybe 1 auto-costume to every two cases.
Inkworks are not that easy! lol! :)

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?

wow! I think im in for a whole case, that line up looks fantastic! Pity no charlie auto though...

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?
: Trey October 18, 2005, 07:16:26 AM
Wow this looks great!!!

The auto line up is a little disappointing..there are only really four here that I want..but the costumes will be fantastic...AND autographed pieceworks cards  :o YIPEEEE  ;D  ;D

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?
: grecopa October 18, 2005, 07:27:00 AM
Yay!!!!!!!  LOVE IT!!!!  Auto pieceworks is too cool.  I'll still try for the master set.  ;D

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?
: beckham1 October 18, 2005, 07:29:05 AM
I was hoping for a few more of the big auto's but of course they do have to save some of the top signers for ....who knows how many seasons, but it looks great and I will love a Kate auto costume card, I am pulling back from any more GOF for Lost.

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?
: grecopa October 18, 2005, 07:54:43 AM
I just noticed, no Boone items?  Maybe they know something about season 2 that we don't yet?

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?
: beckham1 October 18, 2005, 08:00:35 AM
Wow I didn't even notice that, you are on top of it Kelly, that would certainly suck if there isn't anything Boone in there releases.  They really should have had him auto and a PW for season one.  And I would be surprised if we get any cards that weren't on the info posted that does not seem to be IW's MO.

that, or we just arent getting anything for that character...

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?
: Roz October 18, 2005, 04:05:51 PM
Yeah, I'm a little sad there's no Locke, Boone or Hurley (Allan assured me he would get Hurley's actor to sign) but there are plenty more seasons left to run ;) so there's no need to panic yet.

There's so much that *is* strong about this set that it more than makes up for it ;D

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?

I'm kind of psyched about Swoozie Kurtz signing.  I've always liked her.

Mmmmmmmm.. Sawyer auto pieceworks........ :-* :-* :-*

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?
: Roz October 19, 2005, 09:11:42 PM
Sounds good huh? Admittedly I've never owned an auto'd pieceworks but the insert ratios are likely to be one in two cases or so, so if you aren't completist you can always get the auto card and the pieceworks separately... hmm it sounds like a good plan, alas I'm weak and am going for a master set on this one :P ;)

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?
: Bryanjs14 October 19, 2005, 09:16:52 PM
I am not a huge fan of the autographs, therefore, if the costume swatch for the three autograph/costume cards are the same as the normal costume of that character, I am going for a costume/auto-costume master set. But I will definetly be buying a case and trying my luck. I cannot wait!

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?
: Roz October 19, 2005, 09:39:38 PM
You are saved Bryan! As far as I've ever noticed (Spike and X-Files) the auto'd pieceworks from Inkworks usually just have the sig on the front and a different numbering on the back (presumably to prevent forged autographs on standard cards).

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?
: Bryanjs14 October 20, 2005, 03:07:22 AM
Thank goodness, another three big money cards I do not need to worry about!

Anyone see these yet?

I believe the master set is a bit high, I could be wrong, but I think they are asking a little too much...but what is REALLY amazing is the fact that the set with the three auto/costume cards is only $200 more! I think just one of those will sell for around $200! I guess if you do not enjoy opening the packs and just want to knock everything out this is definetly the way to go...what does everyone else think? The master too high or right around the perfect price?

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?
: grecopa October 20, 2005, 03:48:17 AM
I say high.  If the ratios are like Serinity, it's not farfetched to hope for 10 different autos and 10 different pieceworks in a case.  That only leaves 2 autos and 2 pieceworks, plus the 3 auto/costume cards to go in the set.  So I don't think the auction without the 3 auto/costume cards is worth it.  Can't say on the complete set, who knows what the 3 premium cards will be going for.  I just hope I get one of them in my case!  :o=

I agree.  Their charmed set you could get almost a master set in one case as well, although you might be missing just one or two cards.  If that is the case with Inkworks (and they are usually pretty good about this stuff) then yes, the prices are too high.

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?
: Roz October 20, 2005, 03:58:12 AM
The auto pieceworks are sure to be mini-bombs and I suspect, very successful indeed. Inkworks are usually a little fairer with their odds than for instance Topps or Artbox (which makes them more collector friendly really).

I wouldn't like to comment on the price until we have the set in hand, but I don't think the auto/auto'd pieceworks one is completely out of the realm of reality but the one without the special pieceworks is surely a little high.

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?
: rns91294 October 20, 2005, 04:00:24 AM
I agree, it really is too soon to say anything pricewise, as we really do need to see where those auto/piecework cards end up.

But for those who list these auctions, what happens if they buy loads of cases, and don't get all three of those special cards?  That would suck for the buyer, huh?

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?
: Roz October 20, 2005, 09:01:32 PM
So who exactly are all these people, some of their names aren't quite enough for me:

Evangeline Lilly - Kate Austen (we know well)

Josh Holloway - James "Sawyer" Ford (we know well)

Maggie Grace - Shannon Rutherford (we know well)

Malcolm David Kelley - Walt Lloyd (we know well)

Fredric Lane - Marshal Edward Mars (the Marshal, Pilot only)

Mira Furlan - Danielle Rousseau (the French lady)

John Terry - Dr. Christian Shephard (Jack's father)

Swoosie Kurtz - Emily Annabeth Locke (not sure - Locke's Mum?)

William Mapother - Ethan Rom (ooh evil Ethan... we know all too well!)

Daniel Roebuck - Dr. Leslie Artz (the teacher who was the unfortunate resident expert on dynamite  :'()

Nick Jameson - Richard Malkin (Aussie psychic who foretold doom for Claire's baby if it was given away)

Kevin Tighe - Anthony Cooper (this one took me a bit - Locke's father!!!)

Anway that's helped clear things up for me - I hope we can add a John Locke/Terry O Quinn auto to our collecion in the next set since we have both his parents in this set :)

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?
: sketchqueen October 20, 2005, 09:11:13 PM
Swoosie Kurtz is def. Locke's mom and a good signer too! The only one I couldn't figure was the Psychic ...

Also, Frederic Lehne is in more than the pilot ep. - he's also in eps. 1.2, 1.3 and then back around (for the big time) in 1.23 and 1.24 which I don't think has aired abroad? So he also ranks as a good signer :)

Oh yes - I'd forgotten the flashbacks, I just assumed because he'd died that was the end of the matter ;)

I haven't seen last night's episode but other than that I'm up to date on US airings, and I'm just tucking in to reading LOST official magazine.. I guess that makes me a LOST official nerd :D

Sketch and Kelly have both mentioned Swoosie Kurtz as being a great signer - is she famous in the US then?

Pre-sells for master sets are a tough business.  I have been known to take orders for them, but pricing them is nearly impossible until the details on insertion ratios is known.

If it is a reputable dealer, they will do whatever it takes to finish out the set they have sold.  I've been known to buy one last card on eBay rather than to keep opening cases in hope that you find one card.

A less-than-reputable dealer might do any number of things including refunding your purchase if they couldn't do the set, giving you what they have assembled and refunding you part of what you paid, or keep your money entirely.  Best to go with a dealer you know on something as important as a master set.

Also noticed the 'master sets' above did not have any of the promos, which I consider part of a master set.  This seller also tends to use "Complete Master Set" in the auction title and then include "EXCEPT" the best cards in the description.  So read auction descriptions very closely...

Perhaps the dealers have heard some juicy info about the insert rations on the cards?!
Maybe they know something we dont?!  :o=

No juicy insider information at this point, but a few observations about this and previous Inkworks sets...

Evangeline Lilly, Josh Holloway, and Maggie Grace will all be harder to pull.  If everyone agreed to sign the exact number of cards there will be less of their regular cards because they also signed the autographed Pieceworks cards.  This happened with the Evil Trio in Men of Sunnydale, the regular cards were harder to find because they also signed the triple auto.  And there is NO guarantee that the 'big names' in the show would agree to sign the same number of cards as everyone else.  Serenity was exceptional in this area and the exception, not the rule.

Also, there will automatically be less of these 3 cards on the open market.  People are more likely to keep these cards rather than sell them.  And from a Dealer's perspective, these cards may already be pre-sold prior to release.  I know I had orders for many of the Stargate: Atlantis autographs "should I pull them," so it might seem I never had them because they went straight to a customer.

We'll be really lucky if these autographed Pieceworks cards are inserted any more than 1 in 2 cases.

Ed

I sure hope they fall at least one per case, but I know that may be wishful thinking.  What is your guess on the regular auto?  I think the Garner auto in Alias 1 and 2 were about 1 in 2 cases.  Does that sound right?  I hope you can get at least 2 of the top 4 autos in a cases and an auto PW every other would be reasonable.  Hopefully it is not 1 in 3 cases or worse.

: Re: Who ate the LOST thread?
: rns91294 October 21, 2005, 01:18:29 AM
I am only getting one box, so the odds of me getting one of those auto/pieceworks cards is extremelu slim.  I think if I am going to buy any of these on eBay, this is the card I would get, as I do not have any combined auto/pieceworks cards and think it is a great idea.    I had a dream that Artbox came out with the Diggory dual for the GoF set like this, but since that didn't happen, this is as close as I will get.  Can't wait to see them!

It's like Jo says in the X Files connections thread, on pre-sell Jo saw auto pieceworks from the set (GIllian Anderson) on buy it now for $225 or so. When the set came out that card reached $450! It's impossible to really know what everything is worth until cases are in hand and dealers know what they need to break even and get a small profit... and after that the market itself sets a price as bidding wars start for the most stunningly popular cards.

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: ferdinand_the_yak October 21, 2005, 09:05:54 PM
It's taking a big gamble that may pay off or leave you rather out of pocket. You have to gauge the popularity of the set and the how willing the actors are to sign and whether they are likely to sign again. With X-F Connections, as Roz said, I was alomost going to BIN a Scully auto-PW for $225 and they went up to $500. Gillian Anderson only signed a handful of cards for 2 other series, so the going was always going to be tough for any of her auto cards. And also X-Files is a massive cult phenomenon which lasted for 9 seasons and a movie, with Lost, its very popular, but hasn't had time to really establish itself - who knows if interest will die after 2 seasons. I don't know what a good price for any of the auto/auto-PWs are... I don't know much about Inkworks and their insert rates/auto runs. And how fan-friendly are the 'big three' for this series (Evangeline, Josh and Maggie)?

Who wants to gamble? ;)

Cool, I always think that Broadway/the West End is a much bigger test than film/tv acting... there's no blooper reel in the West End ;)

I shall have to dig up some past work of hers before the set comes out :)

Yeah, here's a case in question, I think 90% is leaning towards the generous side of "complete autograph"

it's not exactly 90% is it ???  You get 8/12 autos - which is 66% and you get 7/12 pieceworks, which is 58% and you get 0/3 auto'd pws - which is, well, it just isn't.

I don't know - for me, buying piecemeal like this just isn't as satisfying ... I'd rather crack a box, or a couple of boxes, or just buy the whole thing outright, but not nit-pick it to death ...

I know Kelly posted about there being no Boone stuff in the set.
Remember, the show is 50% flashbacks, and we haven't even seen on for Maggie Grace yet! At least I think we didn't....I know we saw Boone's where he goes to help her only to find out she is grifting him. I could be wrong, but I do not remember hers....which means maybe in season 2 we will see her flashback and Boone will be in it? So there could still be some hope.

I think Ian Somerhalder may still be upset over being "killed" on LOST. He may have been uninterested in signing autographs or allowing his likeness to be used at this point.

***********SPOILER ALERT FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN THE FIRST SEASON....************************

I think Ian Somerhalder may still be upset over being "killed" on LOST. He may have been uninterested in signing autographs or allowing his likeness to be used at this point.

I have heard this too, but don't forget, celebrity news like this is so often unfounded these days that you have to be extremely careful what you believe. He's a well known actor (certainly in comparison to the thespians who play Sawyer, Kate and Jack's parts), and may have only decided to dedicate time for one season.

Don't forget that by the time we saw Boone die we had already been threatened with the deaths of Maggie and Charlie/Merry ;) so if they continued to take our characters to the brink of death without killing them we'd stop getting emotionally tied up in it all.

I REALLY hope Sawyer doesn't die next time on LOST, he is injured (please if you know who dies, keep it to the separate thread that we have for this because I do not wish to look).

Yep me too, this is one of the biggest orders I've ever made :) Scary but cool! I think it's going to be a grand set. I can't wait to open packs and see the great base set, back info, great foils chase, autos, pieceworks and hopefully auto pieceworks ;D

I will admit, I haven't felt this excited about a set for a while.  It would have been nice to have them all sign in one set, but then I wouldn't have anything to get excited about this time next year, of course Kate is the main one that I wanted, so hopefully I pull one of her autographed piecworks, or even a Sawyer, as I am sure I can trade someone a Sawyer for a Kate.....any takers :)

This was the company that was pre-selling the Gillian Anderson/Scully auto and auto-PW from the X-Files Connections set... wish I had picked up one of those then - now they are going for double what those pre-sell prices were going for :'(

Is this a hint that I should scoop up some pre-sell cards for Lost? ???

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: EmmasOneandOnly November 06, 2005, 01:43:58 PM
How do you pre-sell a card when you dont know if your going to get it to sell it ???

: Scifi Cards November 06, 2005, 01:51:30 PM
How do you pre-sell a card when you dont know if your going to get it to sell it ???

For some cards it's pretty easy, especially with Inkworks and Rittenhouse products that don't have many really-long-odds cards.
If you are a dealer that is opening multiple cases of a product then you know the odds will kick in and you'll get certain cards.  With cards like the autographed Pieceworks cards it's much tougher, as the insertion ratio is not known and might be really tough.

I have had dealers come to me looking for specific cards they needed for Master Sets they have sold.  Sometimes that's easier and more economical than to keep opening boxes looking for the last couple of cards.

I would be rather wary of eBay pre-sells though.  I know of people who were refunded when dealers could not get the card they pre-sold.  There is also speculation that this might happen if a card pre-sells for considerably lower than the card is bringing upon release, but I have no real proof that this has happened.

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: Roz November 06, 2005, 05:55:51 PM
I've been debating whether to put these auctions into the price guide, but since they are sold with no idea of what the odds are I think for the moment I'll leave them out - like Jo's experience with the Scully auto pieceworks it's no real indication of the value of the card either way, so I think I'll wait for the moment.

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: ztaylork November 07, 2005, 10:30:05 AM
I have bought auctions that were pre-sells before.  Usually always from the same seller "cardsgeo".  He has been really good to work with, and I have never had him not fill the order.  He has told me that as long as he pulls the cards he will fill the orders, and he won't renig just becuase he undersold it,  recently I bought a Liam Neeson autograph from Batman Begins for $65 when he presold it and he sent it to me within a week of the product being released.  But most recently I bought all 3 autographed pieceworks cards from Lost....got all three for $540, which is under the price of cases right now, so I figure its not a bad deal as I think judging by early indications that this set will be fairly hot, and I love autographed piecworks.  So I won't be needing to trade off my Daniel Radcliffe autographed card just yet.   >:D

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: Roz November 07, 2005, 04:53:50 PM
$540? I don't think that's bad at all, I just get the feeling that these are going to average out at 1 every 2 cases with 6 cases overall, I hope I'm wrong and that they are a little more plentiful, but that's just the way I think it will go.

I am watching these on Channel 4 so I am  in Season 1 still. I have no clue what is going on but I am glad that this set is Season 1 only. I've bid on a box (but not won it yet) so I have to wait and see.

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: grecopa November 07, 2005, 08:04:20 PM
I think $540 is good too, Zach.  I'm hoping for one in my case, I think these are going to be really hard to get.

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: ztaylork November 07, 2005, 08:24:42 PM
I agree with Roz, I think they will be about 1 in every 2 cases.  I have 5 cases on order (got a screaming deal at $530 a case delivered) but now I won't have to open them all to try and chase after the autographed pieceworks, its not to say I won't end up opening them all :)

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: Roz November 07, 2005, 11:28:57 PM
Welcome madabouttcs, I think LOST is going to be a very good fun set, good luck with your auction and your collection, we plan on making a price guide for the set so we'll be able to help you decide what's a fair price for things too :).

Zach it looks like it must work out quite well overall for cards geo, I'm sure he sometimes gets higher prices than the ultimate selling price and that it works out well overall otherwise he/she wouldn't do it :)

Just 5 cases Zach? That sounds a bit conservative ;)

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: ztaylork November 08, 2005, 12:19:24 AM
Yes, this is the new more "conservative" Zach :)  No more 40 case orders for me, my 18 month old daughter doesn't give me the time to move any product, but if I do end up opening them all and put auctions up, they will be free shipping for Yak Shakers, as always.  I am just excited for pictures of the actual cards to show up on the website, and for the set to be released!!!!

Nothing on the auto format or Pieceworks yet, but the chase and base cards look pretty nice.

And I REALLY like that Uncut Mini-Press Sheet. 8)  Those might end up being as hard to find as the Serenity ones, with only 299 being made.

What a great set - keep an eye on the Inkworks site guys as they seem to be updating every evening.

I saw this a while back but their site was chronically broken so there was no point in mentioning it - you can get an exclusive numbered card

Works out at $50 inc P&P to the UK and you get access to a cool members only site.

Well I liked it ;)

AND their site even works now ;) (it wasn't loading before)

Ooh that's looking great! I love the Sawyer one ;)

By the way I have been keeping the price guide up to date with the pictures as we have got them. I have even been lucky enough to receive a close up piccy of the fan club card so definitely take a look when you have the chance!

http://www.theyakshack.co.uk/tradingcards/index.php?page=cardlist&set=6

It's definitely a 'work in progress' but it's very enjoyable progress ;)

Back to the new pieceworks for a bit, when I saw the list originally I was delighted with the diversity of the list and the way it covered all our favourite and beloved characters, but I did wonder whether the "tops" and "tee shirts" might become a little monotonous.

How wrong I was, look at the potential here, we have what appears to be Charlie's favourite shirt!!! With stripes ;) We have Sun's beautiful patterned top, we have Kate's stripey shirt too - I am delighted with what I have seen so far (and I must say more than a little relieved that I can't see any sweat marks on the swatches ;D)

I also like the rough aperture of the swatch too, no perfect circles in this set ;) snaztastic ;D

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: beckham1 November 15, 2005, 06:36:12 AM
Does anyone know why they have such a range of sizes for the swatches?  A few are a bit smaller than I would like, but you are right Roz they cover a great variety.  I do love the alias sets, but you tend to get a couple cards like Vaughns camoflauge pants and Vaughns camoflauge shirt which might not differ two much in a matching outfit.  Nevertheless it looks like a great set, I can't wait to see the auto's I hope no one is a "chicken scratcher". :P

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: Roz November 15, 2005, 06:41:28 AM
Yeah - it does tend to be the women's ones which look small though so it may be that there wasn't much material or someone spilled a bottle of ink all over the suitcase of clothes ;)

We'll ask around but I'd be surprised if the mystery was deeper than material availability :(

No big mystery really.  They have to vary the sizes in order to make enough cards of the smaller items.  Inkworks does not normally like to make very rare Pieceworks cards, which is what would happen if you had to use the same size for every item.   Ideally, they try to make the same number of each card, so the rarity is equal although the value is also determined by the subject.  It also make it easier to insert into the packing process if all things are basically equal.

I've asked this a number of times of folks at Inkworks, and it's either true or they practice giving that answer because it's always about the same.

Inkworks stated that not all of the Roebuck autos have additional quotes on them. Andy Modlin is quoted as saying "He even added some sayings to a few of his cards because he knew that collectors would appreciate them."

which seems to indicate that only a small portion of the cards have anything more than the initials...

Yeah, I'm thinking a Dual with white or white/brown in Walt's swatch will be the holy grail of variant searchers.

I do wonder if there will be "dark sweat stained" variants?  I guess it depends on if they add that in or if it's really sweat.  I'm assuming they wash these things before cutting them up. :o

I've been putting off ordering a case of LOST cards for awhile cause of a lack o $...but funds are now available woohoo! Does anyone know of anyplace selling boxes/cases still for a good deal? Hoping prices haven't gone up too high already. Thanks you guys!

Unfortunately, I've sold everything I ordered, as have many dealers.

Potomac has them listed, but at $679.00 far more than they were 3 weeks ago.

There are a couple on  :ebay: right now, and $650-660 seems to be the norm with shipping.  There's one seller with a case on eBay who's in the UK, if that might be easier as far as shipping and VAT is concerned.

This is one release I really wish I'd ordered several more cases of, but I think there's a law against spending more than you know you can pay for. ;)

Ed,
Don't you think many really big dealers will lock a few cases away for a little while to see if the laws of supply and demand will kick in.  I still think there is going to be enough of this for the short term, but it will be pretty dry a month or so after release as far as boxes and cases go.  I think the singles auto will be reasonable other than Sawyer, Kate, Shannon and to a lesser level Walt.  I think the PW will all be highly collectable in the $20-$40 range depending a little on the character and if there are some nice variants.  I would think most of the other auto's will be in the $20 range.

Now the auto PW will be a whole different story and if they fall 1 a case I would think dealers would shread what they had not presold and piece it out.  Who really knows til we see some casebreaks...just my thoughts.  And the big autos (regular ones) may be pretty tough it is very tough to pull a Sydney Bristow auto in Alias rumor was 1 in 2 cases for Season 1 and 1 in 3 for season 2.  I really hope they aren't that tough.

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: Scifi Cards November 23, 2005, 03:44:13 AM
I would think that some dealers have extra tucked away for the future, but I'm not sure how much of that will show up in the short term or at what price.  I had planned on putting at least a half case back for a couple of years and see if this ended up like Buffy.  However the orders came in fast and furious and I scrapped that plan so I could fill orders.

The auto PW will NOT be 1 per case.  However, they should be better than 1 in 2.  And that's all I'm gonna say. >:D

I think it will be a buyer's market in the short term on autos and Pieceworks.  But I think those will also dry up in a month or so.

Overall, I think this will be a hot set for some time to come.  The time to buy singles will be right away when there is a glut of them on  :ebay:

I haven't sold any of my cases yet, so I am sure when they are released I will have some available.  I was going to open all of them, but pre-bought all the cards I want, so as soon as I actually recieve the cards I pre-bought, I will sell all my cases, except probably one. I am just excited for the set to come out!!

Finally, we have the autographed pictures up on inkworks, well we are still missing a few, there are 6 redemptions in the set, the autographs and autographed pieceworks of the big three will all be redemptions.  But I honestly think the images look great!!  I am glad I ordered a few extra cases, this set is gonna be hot!!

Blech. More redemptions. I still haven't gotten my Serenity redemption card back yet (or the damaged auto that was sent along with it...)

I just can't get excited about the prospect of opening a product and finding a piece of paper saying - now go to the post office during the holiday season and try NOT to kill the postal workers and mail this back to us and maybe some day you'll get an actual autograph card back .... ok? Good.

Blech... redemptions.

Having seen the actual autos (or samples of the autos) I'm a little more excited about this release.  I was going to settle for a couple of things other than a mini-master set with binder, but I'm thinking I'll have to chase everything but the auto'd pieceworks....

I'm not a fan of redemptions either, but at least they have Josh's autos in house already!

I like the layout of the autographed piecworks, I thought the Lex seemed a little crowded and I wasn't sure that I liked that they whited out a strip over the card for him to sign, but these cards just look amazing!!!

With the big three auto's being redemptions as stated on IW auto sample page, wouldn't the        auto-PW be redemption also?

That could cost a lot of money to send a redemption back, any big redemption card should always be sent fully insured with proof of delivery :-\

Lets say you send in a redemption for each auto PW card, you would have to overinsure it to protect the current and future value as they will likely go up in price as they get harder to find.

Yeah - they were released to dealers in time for Memorabilia - i.e. yesterday.

It's looking REALLY good - anyone who wants a LOST Memo Promo give me a shout. As I was given a few for you by Cards Inc. I also got a small collection of UK HP cards for a competition in the near future too ;D

Howdy all just to let you know I had 5 cases delivered on friday ready for for the memorabilia show this week end.
Out of my cases I found one kate and one Shannon Auto pieceworks redemption, ;D ;D which makes me think they will fall on average 1 in 2 cases. How ever I am gutted as I had been wanting to keep these for my own collection, also I got every other auto but only one shannon redemption. :-[ On the pieceworks side I got every one exept the sayid one so I didnt even get one master from 5 cases. :-[
Still a nice set though. Memorabilia was not good for me takings wise but still good for the crack just hope my ebay stuff will go well.

Hey Bush,

I think you are right, I had heard rumours that they were every 15 boxes, but 2 cases seems to fit better with what I hear from people who have opened cases.

Card guru and dealer Paul Harte also observed that the Naveen Andrews costume was rather rare too. Not one in 5 cases you say? Crumbs!

One of us can just make a separate LOST breakdowns thread when we are ready to pop stuff in i t- I have my breaks on paper ready - I didn't think I should really mention case contents til the set was released but it seems that all hell has broken loose on ebay etc so we might as well

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: Roz November 28, 2005, 08:21:05 AM
both my auctions ;) from consecutive cases (the cases in the UK were sort of numbered but only as delivery consignment numbers you see)

At the fair I saw single colour ones and some half and half but no stripe - I thought it was quite nice the stripe one really :)

I just looked at some of the auctions popping up in the UK and saw the Kate costume card....is it just me or did they use easily the most awful picture of her possible? It doesn't even look like Evangeline Lilly on the card? Are my eyes going bad at only 19 or is that really as awful a picture as I think it to be?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Lost-Season-1-Pieceworks-Card-PW1-Evangeline-Lilly_W0QQitemZ6231185820QQcategoryZ37901QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I mean she is a beautiful girl....at least a picture of her smiling or something? what does everyone else think? The rest of the cards look great though! I love the Locke shirt.

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: grecopa November 29, 2005, 01:48:18 AM
I agree, the picture is terrible.  I guess they're limited to finding clear shots of her by herself and wearing the shirt.  Still a shame, though.  I think Jack comes in as a close second for bad photo.  He's as much hansome as Evangiline is pretty.  :-* (umm, the cyberkiss is for Jack)

No doubt!  If I don't get one I'll be HUGELY dissapointed!  The piece of material is really what I'm after.  The card photo is a bonus if it's good.  :)

: Roz November 30, 2005, 08:55:12 PM
lol - if we are going to be picky it's only a month and a half ;)

I thought it was a good pic of the shirt which is quite important, it shows us how there's a tonne of white, rather a lot of thick blue and some nice ones with a thin stripe of blue.

I have to say I've not had an Inkworks product before, however I have been very impressed with how they have placed the variants, cololurs of jumpers etc, - how many times have I got a nice Artbox card and thought - ooh if only it had been a little to the left/right? (many!) with what I've pulled from LOST so far I don't think I have the same worries

its much better than the vague topps one and even rittenhouse have started to slip with TQ:TNG and some other costume cards. i think if they are screen worn say "screen worn by..." like Artbox and if not just say "costume csed in the creation of..." go Inkworks though. it looks like a great set

I have also seen a lot of boxes with crushed packets at the back.

Although I have only had one damaged card (Sawyer auto PW where the bottom is peeling off) a few of my "Numbers" cards had fingerprints all over them. I noticed this myself as I was opening but didn't mention it and then I heard Mark exclaim "those aren't my fingerprints, I haven't touched it" as he revealed a numbers foil card from a pack (that's just the first of possibly many wise mutterings from the webmonkey for today )

I would send them to the address on the autograph redemption card.
But I would mark the envelope, Attention: Defective Card Replacement Departmant.
I'd also send it certified mail.

I would email Inkworks first and let them tell you exactly where to send them.  I'd send them like I send everything, in toploads and a padded envelope with delivery confirmation.  I'm sure they'll replace them.  Their cutstomer service is first class.

Yeah I got some peeling ones too :( I'll send them back with my redemptions.

John - I got one PW-1 with a double stripe too - that's the one in my collection ;)

Becks, in 5 cases - PW cards:

3 Locke
2 Shannon
2 Sayid

I believe.

I believe Paul Harte opened 3 cases without getting a Sayid, and I sold my Sayid to a person who bought a case of LOST and didn't get one either. Lastly I think Bush360 posted on here saying he'd opened 5 cases without one... but that's all just my dull recollection - maybe people can confirm but I think Sayid's one of the toughest PW pulls in this set.

Erm - John is it just me or are you short by 8 autographs - Inkworks are supposed to guarantee one per box! You should have 40, you have 24 autos and 8 redemptions which brings you to 32 autos in all!

Unlike other manufacturers Inkworks will do something about this

Okay< i will write to Inkworks.

John, you pulled 6 Kate PW's?  it seems like that is the one you pulled most of!  I am actually surprised by this.

And only 2 Kevin Tighe's?  Is he a big actor?  I know he has a minor role in Lost, but I am surprised.

Hi all

Roz  it was me you sold your Sayid Costume card to along with two redemption cards.

With regard to the rarity of this card I have had a total of four cases and only pulled one. I also only got one Sawyer PW card.

All the others I've got 3 or 4 of.

I know of a someone else who opened a whole case and didn't get one either.

Looking at it logically its made from his vest so there wont be as much material available as there is for some of the other cards. Assuming they use all the material available then PW8 is likely to be the most common.

I've got 3 Shannon PW3 cards so i don't think these are rare.

I also have 4 PW10 Sun's top of which 3 are all white material. I read somewhere that these may be rarer.

Anyway keep posting folks the more info available the clearer things will become.

It doesn't seem too clear at this point.  Inkworks has always been pretty good with collation and not getting many dups in a case, but who knows so far.  It doesn't seem like any of the PW have been selling for a premium over others yet, but it may be to early to tell.

And only 2 Kevin Tighe's?  Is he a big actor?  I know he has a minor role in Lost, but I am surprised.

He's done a ton of movies and TV shows.  You may be too young to remember this, but he's probably best known for his role as a paramedic on the early 70s TV show Emergency.  Ah, the memories...

Hows this for a bit of drama...
Late Friday Australia Post left a card in my letter box saying my lost case had arrived, and I could collect it after "9am tomorrow" ie Saturday. I didnt find the card in the letterbox till Sunday, so I headed up to get it yesterday, only to be told it wasnt there. I didnt really believe them, but went along with it, and headed back today (monday) to try again. As our post office is insane and closes at 5 (most people work till 5  >:() I had to leave uni very early (i live an hour away from uni). So I finally get up there and hand them the card, and they go out the back to get the parcel. 10 mins later Im still waiting.... :-\ The guy comes back and checks that my name is Katherine; it is. Then he says that the parcel is there, they just cant find it  :o Hopeless. So I tell them that its not a small parcel, that it contains 10 boxes of trading cards...another five-10 mins and it finally appears.....

The problem??? Aus post write your last name on the parcel so they can find it easily (ha ha), but what they had done was write TOMS name on the parcel....idiots  >:()

But alls well that ends well I guess, and now Im about to bust open my first ever case...better late than never I guess  ;D Breakdowns to follow...

If you count the stripes there are 10 of them.
black

Amazing they could fit it all in. The peron who make this card did a fine job.

If you look at the pic of walt on the card his jumper doesn't seem to have this many colours, but I was browsing through the LOST quarterly magazine (issue 2) and there's a picture of Walt with Vincent and on his left shoulder it's a veritable Joseph and his technicolour dreamcoat of a jumper.

I'm afraid I don't have a scanner here, but if you have signed up for the LOST fan club (to get the ultra rare inkworks fan club only promo and various other bits and bobs) you will have been sent this issue free ;D

Just was checking inworks site and they have pics posted of the Shannon/Maggie Grace auto's and auto PW cards.  I must say I think her auto will be even hotter now as she has a really nice auto.  Actually I think we are very lucky that all 3 had a pretty nice signature (in comparision to some of the other auto's we have seen).

OK so my LOST fan club kit arrived this morning (seriously, I ordered this in November, that service was terrible!! They started shipping mid December!!!), but all's well that ends well and that's the important thing.

Anyway, taking a closer look at this card

There are some really odd things. I think it's a really artificially put together shot.

Take a look at Boone's arm - do you see how long the bit between his shoulder and his elbow must be?? Definite digital wizardry IMHO. Then look at the floor between Boone's legs and Claire's legs. There is a pair of legs there that cannot be Hurleys, and yet he's the only person standing there (I think the person originally standing where Hurley is now is wearing a white tee shirt). Hurley is a heavy built guy and the legs are too spindley, too close together, and importantly - too far to the right :P so he's just been placed in and someone else has been deleted. I'm pretty sure Jack and Sawyer have been added in afterwards, Charlie's hoodie ends too abriptly to be natural, and it's possible that Michael and Rose have been added in later too. Another oddity is that the left hand side of the card has the sun shining from the left (look at the shadows on the floor) but the shadows on Shannon show the sun coming from the right. It's all rather bizarre! Has anyone seen this image elsewhere or is this something that Inkworks have done just for the card?

The thing that strikes me as most odd is - if they were bundling this photo together in photoshop, which is fair enough- why did they leave the shadow of the Photographer in?

*P.S. If this is annoying anyone, then after blaming me, would you please blame the person who bought me the complete X Files on DVD for Christmas

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: grecopa January 20, 2006, 08:18:27 PM
I think there's something on the ground to the right of the cameraman that's making the shadow at Shannon's feet.  They may have been using extra lighting (badly) for the shot, but where is the shadow behind her?  Just blocked out by Boones black pants?  Yep, Boone's left arm looks long.  I think Charlies shadow on Jack looks fake too.  Boone's shadow on Hurley looks natural, but Hurleys legs are wrong.  Maybe they moved his body over a tad, but forgot to move his legs.  ???  Look at Boone's collar.  There is a weird shadow from Shannon's hair on his shirt, but nothing on his neck.  Ummm..Who is the guy in the middle?

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: Roz January 20, 2006, 08:53:47 PM
I think the guy in the middle must be JJ Abrams - show genius. That's what I have assumed anyway.

Yeah it's a nice photo but it poses even more questions than the average LOST episode

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: Bryanjs14 January 20, 2006, 09:20:13 PM
Yep, that is JJ...
You might recongize him better if he was wearing his trademark black frame glasses. That is the first picture I have seen of him without them
Definetly a weird card

Guys, to all of you who have had redemptions returned, how were they sent? I am just wondering. I thought I read on NSU that one person had theirs sent Fed Ex 2-day, which sounds like a pretty safe service, but I had also heard from someone else that theirs were sent standard un-insured post.

Can you guys enlighten me? I was nervous enough when my Airsure insured parcel took over 2 weeks to get to Inkworks never lo now.

I sent my redemptions in for LOST at the same time as my ones for GoF - so I am racing Artbox vs Inkworks, people I have spoken to put their name on Inkworks getting the redemptions back to me first, EVEN though their redemptions took a week longer to arrive at the company

The race has begun!

I sent my Lost Sawyer auto redemption today... it says 4-6 weeks, but I doubt it given most people's experience with Inkworks. My Krum took a month from Artbox, and I can't see Inkwrks being less organised than Artbox. I mean, seriously. Is that even possible?

I sent in 14 cards on Jan 11 and got them back on Jan 20.

They sent them in a 50 card snap lid box with foam card spacer to fill it and then sent that in a small (200 card) white card box.

My last lot of redemptions were posted on the 20th Jan. This time they were sent back via DHL couriers. I had a card put through my door today, so I'll pick them up tomorrow.
The redemptions were 3 regular Lost auto's and one auto'd pieceworks plus a couple of X-files auto redemptions.
It would appear that the greater the value of your redemptions the more care is taken with returning your cards.  My last lot came global priority and my Shannon auto just came in a bubble mailer regular air mail.

My first set of redeemed cards have arrived too (beating Artbox despite the fact that according to RoyalMail.com Artbox had my redemptions in a full week ahead of Inkworks (ha ha it's strange discrepancy on the behalf of the post office there as I posted all the parcels out at the same time).

Also by DHL but I would have been bankrupted if they had got lost in the post so I want to thank Inkworks for going to the trouble and expense of seeing that they got back to me safely... I want to email them to thank them but I also don't want to take up too much customer service time ;) lol although I suppose it's nice for them to get positive emails as well as moaning ones

Dear Inkworks customer services (my, aren't you lovely people)

I would like to thank you for the superb turnaround time regarding my Lost autograph redemptions. The cards are superb! You did a brilliant job designing the cards and getting the actors to sign. Costumes - amazing! Auto-pieceworks cards - inspired! You are the best trading card company that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I wish you could get the licences for all my favourite franchises! By the way, I hear that Artbox don't seem to want the Harry Potter franchise one. It appears that they have replaced their card design and ideas team with a bunch of trained monkeys. At least they have trained monkeys. Cost cutting meant that their internet site development IT officers were replaced by untrained monkeys. Who also work part time as the redemption filling staff. I know that you would do a better job, really I do! I am personally going to start a campaign for you to take over from them. Artbox, a clearly failing company. Inkworks, on the other hand, is heading for the stars!

Your biggest, hugest and devoted fan for life,
Roz

PS. By the way, if you have any spare Scully auto-pieceworks from any old sets you need to get rid of, please forward them to me. Being such an ardent fan of your products, I'd hate them to go to waste. And it would help reduce the clutter around your offices. Anything to help!

xxx

Well, I received my first Auto piecework card today from Ebay...Sawyer...Shannon is hopefully in the mail by now!

I am a little concerned. Not for my card or anything like that, but simply for the amateur collector. I was looking over the Sawyer auto piecework and the first thing I noticed is that the swatch is smaller than the normal piecework, this is not the case with the Kate or Shannon cards, the auto piecework and normal piecework are both the same size.
Then I looked on the back of the card as I always do, and this is what I read.

On the top in yellow is says "Pieceworks" and below it, it says "Authentic show-worn item" then below that is says "Item featured is a t-shirt worn by josh halloway as Sawyer Ford in the season one episode "Pilot".

it says the exact same thing on the shannon and kate auto pieceworks just with different names and show info and what not. Now this is what concerns me. The ONLY difference on the Kate and Shannon pieceworks is that they are numbered PWA-1 and PWA-3 and not PW-1 and PW-3.

I am suprised that Inkworks did not print ANYWHERE on the card that it is the autograph piecework card and not the normal piecework card...what if E. Lilly or Maggic Grace were at a convention and I brought 10 of their normal pieceworks and paid $20 a card to have them signed...they would look IDENTICAL to the real thing with the only difference being that it is missing an "A" in the numbering on the back of the card...I am sure about 50% of collectors would never even notice this...you could go onto Ebay and make around $200 on your $40 investment....it's a little scary.

I really hope Inkworks fixes this for the season two set...I think I might e-mail them and just tell them what I just said here. What does everyone else think?

Bryan, I'd tell you to put your auto PW in a row on the top and then the three standard pieceworks below those and then play a game of spot the difference.

For example

and

They have moved the word 'pieceworks' on the PWA to the top to leave space clear for the autograph.

Besides, I do believe collectors to be very observant people. I don't spend £200 on a card and merely give it a cursory glance before putting it in my binder and forgetting about it for an eternity - people do notice the difference between the Ron /100 PoA cloak and the Ron /500 PoA cloak...

Someone asked me a question about the Shannon PW3 & asked if I had a ruffle variant.

I see the ruffle in the picture, but how can you tell if you have one or not?  I've got a light purple card & a dark purple card.

Yeah I have a light and dark card also (well, my light has a gradient from very light to med strong purple) - but I have no 'ruffle' - this card is hard enough to find in packs without there being mega-variants ::)

Well I feel a bit ignorant... I don't see how you CAN tell you've got a ruffle...

I personnally tend to stay away from those type of autographed cards.  Don't be fooled by the "certificate of authenticity"  They really don't mean a thing.  I've seen a lot of Harry Potter autographed items from that seller and wondered how in the world they can end up getting autographs of so many famous people all the time.  :-\  If it's cheap enough for you maybe you want to take a chance, but the best way to be sure an autograph is authentic is to get one form the LOST inkworks card set.  Or from the actors personnally at a card show or other appearance.  I hope that helps.  ;)

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: deza992450 March 27, 2006, 10:02:45 AM
The seller claims they were all signed at some show, Thats why I posted it here, becuase i've read of many shows people have attended, just wondering if anyone knows of a show where all those cast members were present at the same time.

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: Trey March 27, 2006, 12:06:00 PM
I would personally not buy it because you really will never know if the sig's are authentic or not...just my opinion.

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: ferdinand_the_yak March 27, 2006, 01:18:11 PM
I wouldn't buy it either for the same reasons that Kelly and Trey mentioned. Also, even if the actors/actresses in question did attend some shows and sign autographs, that doesn't necessarily mean that the seller was there as well.

The autos may be authentic. They may not be. There are far more fakes that authentics out there - I wouldn't risk it.

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: grecopa March 27, 2006, 08:07:07 PM
Yeah, they claim it was signed at the Screen Actors Guild Awards after party.  Not something that just any Joe can get into.  This seller seems to be invited to a LOT of these affairs.  ::)  If that was really the case, they wouldn't have to hawk autos on ebay.  Plus I see that they live in Georgia!  Quite a world away from Hollywood!

Well thanks for the info then, I'll give these cards a miss, Dont have the money to spend anyway,

another thing tho. I'm thinking of putting my MASTER set (2 cards short of complete guess which ones lol, PWA1 & PWA2 any help would be nice  ;) ;)) into a FRAME. The Whole set all laid out etc.. Just like you would FRAME a picture, what are your thoughts on that ?

We have a thread that discussed this topic that you may find interesting.  It contains pictures of some framed cards. 8)

Interestin' how he uses the box and card numbers to come to the conclusion that there are only 100 of these cards.

Yeah, but I am pretty sure he is right, or close to it, he is either dead on, or there are less than that.

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: Roz April 07, 2006, 10:53:39 PM
Well the very basis of his calculation is wrong - the auto PW were (on average) one every 1.5 cases (not for everyone ;)) and I am sure some of the autoPW are rarer than others, they may not be equally inserted... so I wouldn't bet on him being right.

I have one of these, and to me, it looks like part of the E is smugged.
Now, weather it was Evangaline's fault or Inkworks or even the collector's fault, it still looks smudged, and wouldn't that devalue the card a little?

I looked at it. It seems hard to tell to me. It may be a reflection fronm the scanner back onto the white part of the card or it may be in a soft sleeve.
Did Inkworks say there were 750 cases?

: Re: ABC's LOST trading card set from Inkworks
: deza992450 April 08, 2006, 08:55:21 AM
Well the fact is, this guy is dreaming to get $500 US for it.  I offered $100 US lol. declined, then he said I have already been offered upto $223,  I offered $230 the answer I got was "no thanks".  I will expect to see this card stay on ebay for many more months to come, probably never sell at the value he wants.  No way !!.

Rumours from distributors were 750 cases... Inkworks never comments on these things  (not officially ;))

Inkworks released their fall schedule today and on it are not one, but two LOST sets :

August, 2006 LOST: Revelations
November, 2006 LOST: Season Two

Not sure if I like how close together they are yet... still processing...

too much too soon in my opinion

Our last set was in November, and there's 5 months between these two. If "Revelations" is a full sized set it might be too much, but we'll have to wait and see what their plans are.

: sketchqueen May 25, 2006, 11:45:24 PM
I like seasonal sets to be spaced evenly - it's this other set that has me pondering... Inkworks has traditionally waited until a series end to utilize their character based, thematic sets - like Women of Sunnydale (Buffy). For Charmed, they stopped doing seasonal sets and turned to these sort of thematic sets - Conversations, Connections, etc. and are usually pretty annual - once a year type stuff.

I'm just passing along the news though - It's still only May on my calendar :)

WOW!! I'm so in on both these sets.

I hope there is some stellar stuff in the revelations sets

Supernatural set  ;D  ;D oh yes!!!! Will be getting that one.

I think it may be a bit too much having the two lost sets close together...I would have figured they'd continue on with just season 2..will be interesting!

Lost sets great news ! I cant wait although I am a bit unsure about the time frame especially with some other releases from other Manufacturers. Maybe the set will have no good autos and I can save my pennies.... but I doubt it.
