: Looking to buy/trade for a POAU filmcard with a McGonagall cell : jfer21 August 31, 2005, 11:43:10 AM well, probably more like buy, since I don't have anything really great in the trade department.
I've started to get interested in collecting the film cell cards, not really caring about which cell was in them when I realized that McGonagall was in a piece of the US trailer, so she should be on at least some of the cards. I've been looking around but there doesn't seem to be any for sale. For a while there, I thought I was chasing a phantom until I saw Roz's post in the POAU pull thread about getting one with McGonagall/Fudge/Rosemerta so it must exist. There seem to be plenty of Harry/Snape in the hallway, Harry conjuring a patronus, the Knight Bus, fun in the snow, but no McGonagall. Is this like Ollivander in reverse? I find it hard to believe with the 8100 possible cards there has only been 1 McGonagall sighted. Are they all hiding in the unopened boxes or are they just being unreported because people can't figure out what is on the cell? Am I just looking in the wrong place? Well, enough with the rant and on with the point of the message. Basically, I only have a George Quidditch retail robe and an extra Stan Shunpike to trade. I have promos from all the sets, the Ultra Rare Filmcardz (don't think anyone really wants that), and various chase cards from POAU and SS. I also have the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory promo sets (orange and purple), if anyone is looking for those. Please PM me if you have an extra McGonagall cell that you are willing to part with. I am also looking for BT1 from POAU and retail chase cards M2 and M8, if anybody has those to trade. Thanks, Jennifer : Re: Looking to buy/trade for a POAU filmcard with a McGonagall cell : mcgonagall August 31, 2005, 12:05:09 PM Hi Jennifer ,
I have one with Mcgonagall and filch but it is a distant view( this one is part of my collection ) but i don't know of to many others : Re: Looking to buy/trade for a POAU filmcard with a McGonagall cell : Roz August 31, 2005, 01:24:53 PM Yep, the one I was talking about was also a pretty distant view - sorry :( good luck though - I hope you unearth a spectacular cell - and don't forget to show us :)
P.S. I know a dealer with a tonne of this stuff - if anyone has one - he should do - let me ask! : Re: Looking to buy/trade for a POAU filmcard with a McGonagall cell : mcgonagall August 31, 2005, 01:29:40 PM I want mcgonagall too
: Re: Looking to buy/trade for a POAU filmcard with a McGonagall cell : kbmum August 31, 2005, 05:54:03 PM The cells do exist -- I was lucky enough to get one for my collection. It shows McGonagall, Fudge, and Rosmerta in The Three Broomsticks, although you can't see Fudge's or Rosmerta's heads. :-\
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v451/kbmum/McGcell.jpg) I know I've seen several others on eBay since the set came out, so don't give up! :) : Re: Looking to buy/trade for a POAU filmcard with a McGonagall cell : mcgonagall August 31, 2005, 06:00:00 PM sneaks over to kmum's house and steals card lol
: Re: Looking to buy/trade for a POAU filmcard with a McGonagall cell : Roz August 31, 2005, 06:38:47 PM I think Jules has one of Filch and McG and a cat by the doors of Hogwarts, but we are getting more and more distant as we do this
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/Roz_qmw/Potter%20update/FilchandMcGonagalandMrsNorris.jpg) So McG filmcards are really quite rare. : Re: Looking to buy/trade for a POAU filmcard with a McGonagall cell : Nienna September 01, 2005, 05:01:46 AM OOOOOO nice McG film cells coming out into the open at long last! ;D
Yep you're right Roz, the screen clip you've posted is pretty close to the cell I have in one of my cards. I did find that several in my set have lovely shots of Harry in them or Harry with somone else - I'm not complaining just making that observation. The most common cells appear to be of Ollivander, but I'm not too fussed over the image I have in any of my cell cards as I love the fact you tiny bits of the 'actual' film trailer to look at! It's a real challenge to get cells to match the image printed on the card and I don't have that kind of time or patience to hunt for them. ;) |
