I am confused, aren't the inserts for the Harry robe out of 750? Or is this the elusive limited edition one we've heard about but has not been verified (to my knowledge)??? Are there 2 cloaks?  ???

yes there are 2 black harry costume cards and I have pulled both so they do exist:) and one is limited to 100 and the other 750 but they both have the same type of material

interestingly I had a pack in the boxes with 3 inserts in it A rosmerta auto redemption, A harry 750 costume and a foil plus in another pack in the same box got a 3rd insert a Prop card another devish and bangs

one of my boxes was badly put together two I had a pack with 12 cards and a pack with 2 cards but it was bare no Costume auto or prop

So overall in your 5 cases how many "bare" boxes have you had - at one time I was hearing guestimates of one per case!

3 boxes in 5 cases but I always got plenty 14/15 inserts per case

I ordered two cases from Potomac and received one today( the other should have been with it but has gone AWOL with DHL, I've spent hours trying to sort things out( tracking seemed a foreign word to customer services!), and it looks like we've found the little urchin and I should get it tomorrow - and I thought Parcelforce sucked!) Anyway I thought with this luck I was in for a stinker, but maybe the luck virus is returning - here was the breakdown( It starts bad but gets worse before, at long last, getting better!).

At this stage all sounds bad but then the autos save the day.

This is truly appalling news if you don't receive it.

One benefit of having numbered cards is that we collecters / dealers can keep an eye out for this card, see if it turns up anywhere. If the worst comes to the worst, you need to post the card number in as many places as possible, get the word out. Then, if it comes to light, the number 999 comes to mind.

well when i first started i thought i will not bother has ive been made redunant.

than what the hell ill collect the base sets (thanks cjd) and box toppers and foils.

then all had on a few of the more common chase (cheaper ones) thaks gimli)

but them i saw a hole in the fence and followed the rest of you. if i loose my house i will have to see if this forum holds any liabity, llol.

This forum knows nothing about Harry Potter cards... what cards?

We have no idea what you are talking about - this is train spotting weekly magazine but we have been hacked into by Harry Potter enthusiasts talking about the Hogwarts express

That first case was a cracker! Four rare prop cards and a Hermoine - that is the best I've seen!

AND a Sirius (the card I covet most!)

In 5 boxes I got a temperate box (erm like a  hotbox only slightly less warm!).

Two great autos but as i bought a master set (minus props) off ebay the day they came out I was really hoping for the rarer prop cards.

So what happened to all the Harry and Ron costumes out of 100?  THere are none in the hotboxes, and they are near impossible to pull, its more like they are numbered out of 25.  Any insight on this.  Its ridiculous how hard they are to get when you can pull the permission slip out of a hot box and 3 out of 8 cases, yet you can't pull either of those cards

Anyone ever thought of starting a rare-card registry to keep track of how many are still out?

And does anyone know the true number of triple auto cards ther are? I seen two different nubers quoted, 50 and 65. I wonder which one is right?

If you mean "rare card" based on the print run of the card, then the price guide (link on toolbar near top of page) keeps track of the cards that appear on eBay.

I don't think there's a way to know how many unaccounted rare cards are still available.  There were many people who bought cards months ago and are now reselling them, plus some cards are or were available on dealer websites (these cards are not included in the price guide).

Yep - in most cases (Where the seller mentions it in the auction) we have logged the card numbers.

But I think for PoAU there's a lot of sealed product around - perhaps less so for PoA!!!

I think you should open at least some of the boxes.  The only reason to keep some sealed boxes would be to sell them later, and by then, interest and prices could tank.  It's better to open them now and sell off your extras while prices are still good.

Just an update on this. I still have not opened the POA case. And I found a sealed case of Sorcerer's Stone, 2 of POAU, 2 of GOFU and 2 cases of LOTR Masterpieces II that I had misplaced.
My wife made be sort out the mess in the basement.
Oh well.

This is funny!  Only you could misplace so many cases! ;D. Are you going to open any of them?

I may open them once the last Artbox set is issued. Can we say "Deathly Hallows II UPDATE", "Memorable Moments Series 3", "World of Harry Potter, 3rd Edition" and/or "Movie Posters II"
