: Possible Variant? What do you think? : Bryanjs14 August 27, 2005, 11:28:08 PM I just opened up a couple boxes of POAU and among other things I pulled a pack with TWO Grimm Furs in it, along with a Daily Prophet with lettering, and an Aunt Marge auto but of all the pulls...this one caught my eye the most.
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v252/Bryanjs14/LupinVARIANT.jpg) #404/834 Now, I have about 9 other Lupin shirt costume cards, and all of them are Grey with a white line(s) through them. This one is a very very dark brown, and also, althrough you may not see it in the picture, there are four stitches at the very top left corner. The stitches appear to be a greyish color. Has anyone seen a Lupin Shirt like this before? I have never seen one on Ebay, nor seena picture here on the shack...maybe I am just a little anxious for a great pull, but is this a good variant? : Re: Possible Variant? What do you think? : Anna August 27, 2005, 11:59:34 PM The Lupin Shirt costume come in two variations - the gray and the black version. Artbox stated that the card swatches came from two different shirts. This was discussed in an earlier topic:

: Re: Possible Variant? What do you think? : Anna August 28, 2005, 12:15:22 AM I'd say 70% of them are gray and 30% are black. You can check the price guide descriptions, I usually enter if it was a gray or black swatch (I think Cindy enters the color also). But it's kind of tedious checking each auction individually. :P

When the cards came out, I thought the number of each variation was pretty even. Now, it does seem that there are more gray than black. I have one of each, and my black swatch is almost identical to the one Popple has on eBay. |
