I won a POAU filmcard from "easy electric" on Aug. 3.  He ships only on Mondays and Fridays, so the card should have shipped from the UK to the US on Aug. 5.  I haven't received it yet.  I've sent the seller two emails, but he has not responded.  He just listed a ton of cards yesterday, too.  I'm a bit baffled, as I've bought from him before and received my items quickly.  Does anyone know him, or is anyone else having a problem with him?

Oh no.  I've bought from Olly before and never had any problems, never mind that he was a frequent contributor here for quite a while.

i bought some items from him a couple of weeks ago they took 10 days for me to recieve them so do not worry.

And again trouble with him.  >:(

I bought 2 Charmed Sets from him but only recieve 1 and now he didnt response to my emails.
I paid for both sets + shipping and recieve only 1 set.
Bad packing. The Cards lay loosely in the envelope. Shipping costs are to high. I had to pay nearly the double on the real costs.

I will wait till next week if he answered my mails before i will left a negative on Ebay and use the paypal buyer protection.

I do not like it when "bad" seller changes their names only to start again with a 100% feedback.

i always thought he was a good seller till the last months,then all thoses negs.if i had have known who i was buying off i would have bothered.i only got mine because i got onto paypal.

The last I heard was that Olly had to go into hospital - his wife sent an Email out to all bidders but that was a few months ago.  I assume he is well again now but I don't know why he keeps changing his Ebay name (from 4 to 5 and now this one).

I haven't won any of easy electric's auctions, but I have won several cards from olly4kay and olly5kay.  I've never had a problem with not receiving any of the cards.  The shipping was occasionally slow, but I live on the the west coast of the US so it's understandable.  I've never e-mailed him, so I don't know about his e-mailing habits. :-\

I always found Olly very, very slow in replying to Emails.  And considering I live in the same country as him, the cards sometimes didn't arrive as quickly as they should.

But as I said he has been poorly lately so it could just be a little glitch.  Now he is trading again he may pop in here and be able to put peoples minds at rest  :).

You aren't on your own ... I've been left waiting weeks for items I'd bought and paid for with no emails from either of them to keep me in the loop as to what was going on. :-\
I've had to gently prod them through ebay to get my items delivered and I have to agree with T&F ... his packaging isn't as good as it used to be - though to be fair nothing of mine has been damaged in the post.
I'm really  sorry to hear he hasn't been well and I do hope he recovers quickly ... I'm sure Kay will have had more urgent things on her mind than ebay auctions to see to, but I didn't receive one of her notifiaction emails re: Olly's health so this is the first I'd heard of it!
I like dealing with them and this lack of communication and sparser packaging does them no favours nor does it enhance their ebay reputation.
Who knows the real reasons ... perhaps we'll never know ...

If he hasn't been able to respond to emails because he's ill, that's one thing.  But, I sent him my second email the same day that he listed a new batch of auctions.  If he can get online to list items, he sure as hell can respond to my email and let me know when or if he mailed my card.

I tried emailing him directly and got nothing by way of reply so I started contacting him through ebay instead - if you do it that way it leaves a copy of what you sent in your ebay account 'Sent' box and it also shows ebay that you have tried to contact the seller in case of any difficulties later on.
The other thing to remember is that he could have set up his auction listing program well in advance so although he appeared to be around to list these items, that might not have been the case at all!
I know I haven't actually listed/sold anything on ebay yet, but I recall seeing the facility to start your listings at any given date in the future ... he might have selected to do this if he knew he wouldn't be around to do it in person.
Don't get me wrong ... I'm not making excuses for his woeful lack of communication, just pointing out the obvious that's all!
I just get the feeling that he can't be bothered with the niceties any more which is such a shame ...

it took a complaint to paypal to get my items.he did have great feedback then went down hill.....
if he is ill he should take his items off ebay for a while..

I agree ... but if it's his only source of income or a larger proportion of it, then he's not really left with much choice but to continue is he?
I'm only guessing here ... I hate to see his feedback going downhill especially as I've dealt with him several times in the past with on problems at all - I find it very sad that's all ...

Unless the rules are different for eBay UK, he didn't schedule his new listings.  Auctions can only be scheduled in 15-minute increments.  For example, 10:00, 10:15, 10:30, and 10:45.  His auctions are a couple of minutes apart.

I'm sorry, but it's just that I'm so frustrated about all of this.  Over the past two months, I've had similar problems with three different eBay sellers.  I had to file a claim with PayPal for the first one, and the others aren't far behind.

He left feedback on this weekend for other buyers so he was definately online. He doesn`t reply my mails.

For me he is no longer a respectable salesman. After the POAU Incident ( i bought 2 sealed Cases and got 2 opened cases with no autos or props in the boxes) I wanted to never have to do again with him.

And now he changed his ebayname. I bought 2 sets and now he does not sent me the cards which i bought and paid for.

Now i will leave my first negative feedback.

What?!!!   :o  :o  :o  I will stay FAR away.

As a sidenote, it is possible to list auctions in advance and a minute or two apart if you use a listing service other than ebay.  I use Sparedollar and can list as close as I want up to a month in advance.  But I'm not saying that's what this seller did.  ???

like i said before he only sent my items when i got onto paypal..so there is someone posting out the items.
he used to post on here all the time but i see he has taken off his name.no matter what has happened the buyer must surely come first.makes me sad really...

Olly wrote back to me today.  He said I should have received my card by now and will see if Royal Mail has any info.  He also mentioned that he had been in and out of the hospital for a month, which was the reason for the negative feedback on his old account.  Fingers crossed that my card is found or arrives soon.

Kelly -- Thanks for the info about Sparedollar.  I'd never heard of it before, but I will check it out. :)

Just to let you know, I got the two HP cards I'd waiting for sometime this week - I've been away on holiday and they were waiting for me when I got back.

I thought there was auction listing software which would list auctions however you wanted them so thanks for confirming their existence for me Kelly as I'd hate to say it and be wrong about it! ;)

Cindy ... don't hold your breath on him getting back to you till Tuesday at the earliest -  the Post Office is shut on Sundays and it's a Bank Holiday tomorrow (Monday) and they will be shut then too, so he won't be able to contact anyone to find out what's happened for you until then.

I hope he recovers soon and manages to get himself (and his ebaying) sorted out properly ...
