The "/maincardpage.htm" part of the link is not underlined on the link Anna posted. I used her posting. You are correct, the one ECL posted works, it's all underlined.

Notice that in all of the other links Anna posted that the entire link is underlined?

And for sure this is NOT meant as a critism of Anna. HEAVEN FORBIDE!! We all know she is a real Yak Shack Sweetheart and does tons of great thing for all of our benefit.

Yeah - the auto detect on what is a URL and what is not a URL gets a bit flaky when the URL is quite long.

the best way to get around this is to put [url ] the address here and then [/url ]

Don't include the spaces between the brackets. If I didn't have the spaces it would try to use my text above as a link ;)

Thanks for finding the error John, and thanks for how to fix the problem Roz.  ECL's link is now corrected. ;D

BTW - I added my second web page URL to the top post.  I ran out of bandwidth on my first web page. :-[  ::)

I have mine larger then your Cindy and my cards look spotted and brown at that scale with 150 :)

Really?  I haven't noticed that with mine, but I work from a laptop.  Can you do me a favor and let me know if my scans look spotted and brown?  I have so many cards yet to scan that I really don't want to do them all at 150 only to find out they don't look right.

Some of my cards look like they have very little pixels, some look spotted and brown, and some are really dark when I scan them 150. So it might be the card or my scanner :-\

BTW - Cindy, I noticed you have that the PoA original set had 9 filmcards in the description of the set above the cards ???

With the cards you have, you should.  The Tripod site building tool is very easy to use, too.  I know a little bit of HTML, but it's nice to not have to use it for the site.

Yes, its very easie to use. I went in with now website knowledge at all and I've gotten a very few comments on what a good job I've done with it (and that you very much for those ;D ). If you've got pictures and the information then your all set 8).

Please keep this in mind when someone answers this question I have (web illiterate, I am)
Also keep in mind that I'm still on dial up!!  ::)
If a picture is scanned at a higher dpi, is that what makes the download (to view) slower?

The answer to your question is yes.  I scan my cards at 200 dpi, crop them, then rezize them to 450 pixels wide (landscape).  Tower told me that the picture file size should be around 40 kb so that people with dial-up won't have such a hard time viewing the pictures. :D

But that seems like alot of work to go through for a picture :-\

It doesn't really take that long, the cropping and resizing take less than a minute to do each scan.  Also, by resizing it makes all the picture sizes uniform.

I resize mine using the InfranVeiw program. You can cut the pictures in half making it smaller :)

I also have pictures of my cats up, if anyone is interested.... ;D

I had already checked out your cats after I looked at your cards, they're adorable. ;D

I've finally updated my site with all of my HP cards.  Well, I still need to finish the filmcards, but everything else is there. ;)  Just a few more miscellaneous items to go (Quotable Star Trek TNG and Cat in the Hat), and I'll be done with it until GOFU is released! :)

I have been asking my husband to set us up a website with all our cards, but still nothing.  I wouldn't hold your breathe....but I am working on it....trying to at least.

Why wait for him to do it?  You can set up one yourself!  Tripod is pretty good.  You don't even have to know HTML.  I used their site builder function, because I didn't want to take the time to do HTML.  I had a decent site ready after just an hour or two.

Our new internet servise gives us a webpage we can create for free as well.  Thing is, I have no clue how to use our scanner, or upload the pics from the Digital Camera.  I am sure I could figure it out....but if something happened to the camera, scanner or PC, I would never hear the end of it.  I remember I was on the PC, ad the computer frooze and all this crap happened to it.  he blamed me for everything, yet I wasn't do anything online that I don't normally do. After that, I gave up.  I figure if he does it and screws things up, he can't blame me :rofl:

My internet server also offers a free web space, but I'm on hold right now!!! I'm hoping  :o= :o= by the end of this week, I'll be flying with DSL!!! FINALLY!!!  ::) So then I'll be on a new server which also offers free web space!! I'll keep you updated!!  ;D

DSL is wonderful.  It is what we have.  I am very pleased.

I can't wait!!! Up until now, we've been told DSL wasn't available where I live!!  >:()

Dial up is such a pain!!!  :P

Trading, definitely, I'm always open to that for just about (key words: JUST ABOUT) any card in my collection. And I suppose I'd sell to people on the shack, but never on ebay or anything like that.

Well, it's been a loooooooooooooong time. Jackie, you did a great job with both sites!  I like that your sketches have their own site -- they don't get lost amid all of the HP cards. :)  Your sketch collection is fantastic!  I need to move some of my sets onto another site to make room for more HP stuff, but it's soooooooo much work. :-\

Chris, don't put down your site!  You've done a nice job with your cards.  The scans are big and clear, which makes it easier to see the details. :D

Jackie, you have an incredible sketch collection.  :o  I was looking at them for half an hour trying to pick favorites, but it's really tough.  Of course the Mylers are awesome.  I also really like the carbonite Han by Jedipencil.  It looks like he's reaching right out of the card!  Lets see, Ray Dillons twilight wraith is really cool.  And that ring card you won from Kevin Graham!  I don't usually go bananas for ring cards, but there's just something about that one that I love.  Way too many good ones to choose from, although I have to say that my all time favorite is the Lego Han Solo.  :rofl: :rofl:  Shame on you!  That was a freebie for your kids!!!  :rofl: :rofl:
