Just wanted to let everyone know of a few possible prop and costume cards for the Goblet of Fire set.
I went to Comic-Con last week and the Artbox booth had a very nice display with props and costumes from GOF, I assume, the majority of them will be used as inserts. I must warn you I have not read the books so I am going to sound like an idiot talking about this stuff....but bear with me

There were a couple different wands, one with a picture of Hermione above it (possibly one of the prop doubles of hers?)
There were Banners from other schools from the Quidditch game
There was of course, a quidditch costume
A very very nice Program from the Quidditch championship game (very cool...very new age looking, it reminded me of the I Heart Huckabees poster if anyone knows what I am talking about)

Just thought some people might be interested in a possible hint at some cool costume and prop cards coming out in this set

The NSU board has some pictures of the items you described.  You'll need to scroll down a bit here to find them:

I think the silver things on the 2nd shelf are the Ball Invitations.  What are the rectagular multicolored things?  Are those the quidditch programs?  What does that look like between the 2 wand boxes?

I have exams in October, but waiting for the GOF will be something nice to wait for as well as my scarey exams.

I just went through the whole thread on the NSU board.  There are lots of photos of people that I have bought cards from before.  8)

I am convinced that this set is going to be awesome. Im going to order 2 cases of this one. I hope we also get some fantastic auto cards as well. How cool would it be for a quadrupile auto signed by the tri-wizard champs.... ;D

I really want a Peter Pettigrew auto (yeah, call me weird ::) ).  We have James in the SS set, and Sirius and Remus in the POA1 set, so I think it would be great to have Peter in GOF.  Then we'd have the four Marauders. :)  I also have my fingers crossed for a Sirius costume, but given that the character has only a small spot in the movie (when his head is in the fire in Gryffindor Tower)  I think that's much more likely for the OOTP set.

Yeah I doubt Sirius, would be cool though.

Kelly,
You are correct, the silver item on the shelf is the ball invitation and yes, the thing with all the multicolored boxes is the Quidditch program.

No this is a deadline it would be at their peril to miss.

The set is due in October and the movie will be released in November, so they could have two or three weeks to push things back if needed.  Hopefully, Artbox won't have any problems with redemptions.  There's plenty of time between now and October to get all of the autos and memorabilia. :)

Generally you do release a card set a few weeks before the film - eg PoA, Charlie etc, but one notable exception was Batman, which was released the same day as the movie, the cases are stamped with "not to be opened until 17th June" or whenever it was

I could have sworn that some Batman memorabilia cards were on eBay before the movie opened, but I could be mistaken.  I think most of the movie sets are released before the movie.  It's part of the marketing to help the studio create a buzz.

Have there been any indications from Artbox about what might be included in the GOF set?

: Re: Comic-Con and GOF

You did - according to what I saw as I inputted the ebay auctions people were selling broken down cases and boxes 2 days before release. I know if you do that with videos and books in the UK you can be prosecuted, however the trading card world is small and it's unlikely Topps will penalise these people... all the same people do slam the release date right up to the release of the film.

I suppose the idea of releasing early is that the sales catch all of the early hype, and take advantage of the press coverage of the premiere etc. and perhaps catch a "second wind" of interest when the movie is released... or as someone cheekily pointed out to me once, that way the card set has a few good weeks of sales before we find out that the film is rubbish ;) - shocking :o

Well, I'd hate for it to be pushed back and me getting a case ;)
