Yuck! :P Cool pics. 8)
: Re: New GOF photos : mcgonagall July 24, 2005, 08:00:22 AM wow really cool pictures
: Re: New GOF photos : EmmasOneandOnly July 24, 2005, 08:13:38 AM I have all these saved on my computer. I got them the other day thought, when the very high res ones where out. They are VERY Big :o but they show up fine with my re-size on my computer ;D
: Re: New GOF photos : kbmum July 24, 2005, 08:15:25 AM The huge, hi-res photos are available at Mugglenet. I didn't post the links, because I thought most people would want the smaller pictures that could be seen more easily on a computer screen.
: Re: New GOF photos : EmmasOneandOnly July 24, 2005, 08:25:02 AM I really didnt care, I just wanted them ;D
: Re: New GOF photos : Morningangel-Iola July 25, 2005, 02:39:58 AM There are some good pics. The owlery is very yucky. And Harrys hair some times looks ok and sometimes well ::) can't wait to see it at least 4 times ;D
: Re: New GOF photos : grecopa July 25, 2005, 05:23:18 AM Clue me in on the gravesite photo. I can't remember from the book. Is this supposed to be Voldemorts grave? Because his father's middle name wasn't Marvolo. That was his Grandfather Gaunts' name.
: Re: New GOF photos : Morningangel-Iola July 25, 2005, 05:26:33 AM Ah yeah very good point, I'm confused now too. Yes Tom Riddles was his fathers muggle name and Marvolo was from the wizard side :-\ Grandad Riddles Thomas too ::)
: Re: New GOF photos : kbmum July 30, 2005, 07:18:44 PM People at The Leaky Cauldron have noticed the error on the gravestone:
Q: Isn't there an error with this photo from the film version of Goblet of Fire? A: Many Leaky readers have pointed out two issues with this photo of Harry standing in front of the Riddle family tombstone: 1. Unless 'Marvolo' was a popular early-century name, we know that Tom Riddle (the second one - Tom Riddle AKA Voldemort's father) was not 'Tom Marvolo' - as we learned in Half-Blood Prince, that was the first name of his (for a short time) father-in-law, Marvolo Gaunt, and the middle name of his son. 2. We know that Tom Riddle (the third one) was born December 31, 1926. The tombstone gives Tom Riddle-the-second's date of birth as 1915 - so that would have made him not quite twelve when his son was born. We have contacted Warner Brothers, and we're sure if it's possible for anything to be done about this, it will be. On another note, there is a new GOF picture, here: http://www.ropeofsilicon.com/flipbook.php?id=86&page=20 That site has some nice stills from the movie, and unless I'm mistaken, some of the picture were cropped differently so we can see more. Here's the gallery with all of their shots: http://www.ropeofsilicon.com/stills.php?id=86&page=1 : Re: New GOF photos : Roz July 31, 2005, 06:19:38 PM Ooh thanks Cindy they are all stunning :) the costumes look to be getting interesting again :)
Hermione looks beautiful, Ron looks more awkward than ever ;D and Dan - well looks variable, but I love the "all action hero" shot of him in his TriWizard garb - (jumping in the air) : Re: New GOF photos : EmmasOneandOnly August 01, 2005, 12:56:24 AM People at The Leaky Cauldron have noticed the error on the gravestone: Q: Isn't there an error with this photo from the film version of Goblet of Fire? It comes from the new HP Scene-It game and was posted in the forum section of emmawatson.net.
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v451/kbmum/SceneItMoody2x.jpg) : Re: New GOF photos : Anna August 01, 2005, 10:57:29 PM Wow! :o Mad-Eye Moony really looks scary. Can you imagine sending your kids to school and having someone that looks this teach them?! :o
: Re: New GOF photos : EmmasOneandOnly August 01, 2005, 11:01:04 PM Remeber its not actually Mad-Eye ;)
: Re: New GOF photos : Anna August 01, 2005, 11:18:38 PM Remeber its not actually Mad-Eye ;) I know he's not the "real" Mad-Eye, but he's scary looking just the same. :o : Re: New GOF photos : EmmasOneandOnly August 01, 2005, 11:19:47 PM I'd be more worried about what he's looking at when he stares at me with that eye *shivers*
: Re: New GOF photos : kbmum August 01, 2005, 11:37:07 PM Remeber its not actually Mad-Eye ;) I know he's not the "real" Mad-Eye, but he's scary looking just the same. :o Wouldn't the Polyjuiced Mad-Eye look the same as the "real" Mad-Eye? : Re: New GOF photos : EmmasOneandOnly August 01, 2005, 11:40:33 PM Wait, would the magical eye work even when using a Polyjuice Potion?
: Re: New GOF photos : kbmum August 01, 2005, 11:59:54 PM It did in the book. Moody could see Harry behind a tapestry when he got stuck in the stairs after dropping the egg.
: Re: New GOF photos : EmmasOneandOnly August 02, 2005, 12:01:14 AM I thought he was under the Invisibility Cloak :-\
: Re: New GOF photos : Sharon August 02, 2005, 12:08:07 AM Yes he was but Mad Eye could see through the invisiblity cloak. I think he looks perfect ;D
: Re: New GOF photos : EmmasOneandOnly August 02, 2005, 12:12:01 AM Isnt that a form of trespassing or something or invating someones privacy
: Re: New GOF photos : kbmum August 02, 2005, 12:13:57 AM I just checked my book. Harry was hidden by the cloak. There was also a tapestry at the bottom of the stairs, but Filch had pulled it aside when he looked up the staircase to try to find Peeves.
And, Sharon is right. Moody could see through the Invisibility Cloak. :) : Re: New GOF photos : rns91294 August 02, 2005, 12:40:16 AM The eye did not form from the polyjuice potion. If I remember correctly, he stole it from the original Mad Eye that he had hid.
: Re: New GOF photos : EmmasOneandOnly August 02, 2005, 12:49:07 AM I know that I just didnt think it would work for someone who never had a magical eye
: Re: New GOF photos : Nienna August 02, 2005, 02:24:32 AM Cor! He looks demented - brilliant Mad-Eye interpretation ... not quite how I imagined him to look like but still ... ;)
Barty Crouch Jr was very magically powerful like Crouch Snr ... who knows the magic behind how a Magic Eye works? : Re: New GOF photos : rns91294 August 02, 2005, 02:53:55 AM Cor! He looks demented - brilliant Mad-Eye interpretation ... not quite how I imagined him to look like but still ... ;) Yeah, me either, but he does look good. : Re: New GOF photos : Nienna August 02, 2005, 03:31:24 AM Cor! He looks demented - brilliant Mad-Eye interpretation ... not quite how I imagined him to look like but still ... ;) Yeah, me either, but he does look good. Wouldn't like to meet him in a dark alleyway tho! ::) ;) : Re: New GOF photos : ferdinand_the_yak August 02, 2005, 02:15:00 PM The first look at Bellatrix LeStrange - Helen McCrory. I think she would make a terrific Bellatrix - she's exactly as I pictured her! TLC is trying to confirm that she will definitely take up the role:
Grace from RGMS.org let us know that a UK paper, The Mirror, is reporting tonight that actress Helen McCrory " has been lined up to play evil Bellatrix Lestrange in the next Harry Potter film." A source revealed: "The producers are trying to keep the cast a secret until it's all sealed. But they are really keen on Helen. "They think she has the gravitas and looks to pull off the part of Bellatrix." Helen McCrory appeared in the film Charlotte Gray with Cate Blanchette and Sir Michael Gambon (Albus Dumbledore) as well as Charles II with Harry Potter film actors actors Sean Biggerstaff, Christian Coulson, and Shirley Henderson. You can see a photo of Helen here. We are trying to confirm this possible casting for Order of the Phoenix with WB; until then please consider this very much a rumor until confirmation. We will update you with more as soon as possible. (http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/images/bbc/programmes_tv_idents_and_screenshots/drama/250charles_ii_mccrory.jpg) : Re: New GOF photos : ArwenEvenstar August 02, 2005, 02:44:30 PM Im not sure I like the look of this Moody. He looks totally different than what I pictured but Im sure all that will change once i see the film...I hope. ::)
: Re: New GOF photos : Roz August 02, 2005, 03:15:29 PM I clearly wasn't paying proper attention in GoF as I always pictured his right eye as the injured "magical" one
: Re: New GOF photos : LikORish-Spider August 02, 2005, 03:33:53 PM I just checked my book. Harry was hidden by the cloak. There was also a tapestry at the bottom of the stairs, but Filch had pulled it aside when he looked up the staircase to try to find Peeves. And, Sharon is right. Moody could see through the Invisibility Cloak. :) And remember that Mad-Eye told Harry, "Nice Cloak, Potter.", when he was wearing it in the Three Broom Sticks setting with Ron and Hermione. : Re: New GOF photos : kbmum August 02, 2005, 10:31:03 PM The Leaky Cauldron has posted a slew of new photos. You can see them here:
http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/MTarchives/007404.php : Re: New GOF photos : Morningangel-Iola August 08, 2005, 05:03:21 AM Yes the PJ potion turns you into that person therefor with the eye missing and the magical eye was a replacement one ;)
: Re: New GOF photos : EmmasOneandOnly August 08, 2005, 10:38:51 AM Warner Bros. have agreed to fix the tombstone problem using "the magic" of special effects
: Re: New GOF photos : Roz August 08, 2005, 03:47:23 PM Ooooooooooh hooray. I heard yesterday that they definitely wouldn't be reshooting, but that they might do it with SFX :)
: Re: New GOF photos : Morningangel-Iola August 08, 2005, 04:07:55 PM Yeah I'm sure you culd fix it with a computer and stuff. Oh I hope that woman is Bella, as there was talk of Liz Hurly :-X and I hate that woman and want her no where near Potter :o= Not to mention she can't act to save her life.
: Re: New GOF photos : kbmum August 19, 2005, 01:47:41 AM The Leaky Cauldron site has two new GOF photos -- Ron with Mad-Eye, and Draco and Goyle with Krum. Mad-Eye looks really creepy!
http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/images/2005/08/ronmadeyemedium.html http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/images/2005/08/dracokrummedium.html : Re: New GOF photos : grecopa August 19, 2005, 03:45:37 AM Goyle looks like he's slimmed down a bit.
: Re: New GOF photos : Nienna August 19, 2005, 04:01:07 AM Goyle looks like he's slimmed down a bit. He's not the only one either ... Neville looks nothing like he did! :o I thought the pic of Draco was lovely ... it's not very often you get such a good clear photo of him and it's a nice portrait of him. Before you say it ... I'm not a big Draco supporter, I just liked the portrait pic of him that's all .... the evil little rotter! ;) : Re: New GOF photos : kbmum September 14, 2005, 08:08:04 AM The Leaky Caudron had this link to new GOF pictures on the USA Today site.
http://www.usatoday.com/life/movies/news/2005-09-13-potter-first-look_x.htm The picture of Harry flying away from the horntail looks scary! (At least it does to me -- I hate snakes, lizards, and the like. :-\ ) : Re: New GOF photos : Anna September 14, 2005, 08:21:48 AM The more I keep seeing preview pictures of the movie, the more I can't wait to see it. ;D

: Re: New GOF photos : kbmum September 25, 2005, 01:10:43 AM Here's a scan from the 2006 GOF calendar. It shows Fred and George with their beards after trying to enter their names in the Triward Tournament. :D

: GOF: Bad news for me :-( : Morningangel-Iola October 02, 2005, 03:42:58 AM Apparently they are using swishy camera work which is very bad news for me as it makes me want to be sick, great fun :-X. You wonder why on earth someone bothered to invent the tripod ::) I hate it when films and TV do jumpy about filiming >:() looks like I wont enjoy it as much as I hoped :'( Still lets hope the cards stand still maybe I can flick the base cards.

That's too bad Dawn. Maybe the swishy parts will only be during the 1st task when Harry is flying. I'm going to see it at an IMAX theater so I guess it will be like riding a rollercoaster! :o: Re: New GOF photos : Morningangel-Iola October 02, 2005, 03:52:41 AM I tried POA at an IMAX I'm usually ok with Harrys but that was :-X I think I will have to take some travel pills before seeing GOF :(
: Re: New GOF photos : EmmasOneandOnly October 03, 2005, 08:38:39 AM I know, I kind of got a little sick when I was watching Quidditch :-X Not to mention I screamed like Hermione when I saw the HUGE dementor
: Re: New GOF photos : Morningangel-Iola October 04, 2005, 02:29:24 AM The dementor was mega scary in IMAX :o
: Re: New GOF photos : Trey October 05, 2005, 11:36:34 AM The new poster....

: Re: New GOF photos : Morningangel-Iola October 13, 2005, 02:22:33 AM Some new pics. Neville is looking old, mind you they all are.
http://www.hpanaimages.com/2006Calendar2.html : Re: New GOF photos : kbmum October 13, 2005, 02:33:08 AM The one with Amos Diggory and Dumbledore is heartbreaking. I didn't cry any time I've read the book, but it'll be a different story for the movie.
Is the picture in the middle of the bottom row the one you thought was Sirius? It does look like him. : Re: New GOF photos : Morningangel-Iola October 13, 2005, 02:37:11 AM Oh I did cry so goodness knows what I will be like at the film!
Yes it is, see they do look a like. Guys with beards and stripey tops ??? : Re: New GOF photos : EmmasOneandOnly October 13, 2005, 05:04:49 AM I know, I knew Cedric well. Its will be devastation to see it :'(
: Re: New GOF photos : Morningangel-Iola October 13, 2005, 05:06:24 AM I ahve a feeling GOF will be a hankie job :(
: Re: New GOF photos : EmmasOneandOnly October 13, 2005, 05:07:13 AM Oh no, I really dont want to make my popcorn soggy :'(
: Re: New GOF photos : Morningangel-Iola October 13, 2005, 05:09:06 AM You'll have to make sure you eat it by then. ;)
: Re: New GOF photos : EmmasOneandOnly October 13, 2005, 05:14:42 AM  I probably will already have
: Re: New GOF photos : Morningangel-Iola October 17, 2005, 03:01:34 AM Went to the cinema today to see W&G and they had a poster up I haven't seen before;
(http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y11/MorningAngel-Iola/GOFposter.jpg) Sorry its not a great picture but its the best we could get, we did try lots of times to see if we could get a better one. : Re: New GOF photos : grecopa October 27, 2005, 03:02:34 AM I saw a GOF trailer on TV today. It had a few scenes from the burning tents at the cup, A side view of Voldemorts face, wormtail at the cauldron, Harry and Voldemort locking wands and more scenes from the maze that looked new to me. I can't wait to see it at the Imax!
: Re: New GOF photos : EmmasOneandOnly October 27, 2005, 03:05:46 AM I saw a new one on MTV with all new scenes. Very cool ;D
: Re: New GOF photos : Morningangel-Iola November 08, 2005, 04:12:39 AM Not sure many people are interested in the stickers so I thought I would quote myself from that thread here.
One of the pictures shows Barty Jnr at the World Cup casting the Dark Mark (well I presume thats what he is doing) so now Winky what so ever :( thats a shame because half of it was the mystery of him being invisable at the world cup :-\ : Re: New GOF photos : rns91294 November 08, 2005, 04:24:26 AM Yeah, I was looking forward to seeing Winky too. To bad they cut her out.
: Re: New GOF photos : Morningangel-Iola November 08, 2005, 04:31:53 AM I knew they cut the whole S.P.E.W thing but I thought we would stil get her. There was more too it when he was invisble. We didn't even know about him until much much later in the book.
: Re: New GOF photos : rns91294 November 08, 2005, 04:33:48 AM I knew SPEW was gone too, but I too thought we would see Winky, and Dobby working in the kitchen at Hogwarts. It would be nice for people who haven't read the books to see Dobby got a job.
I guess all the changes they made were to shorten the movie so it would fit in 2 hours or so. Good thing we all read the books, huh? : Re: New GOF photos : Morningangel-Iola November 08, 2005, 04:38:34 AM Yeah, it is hard to get it all in. But JK apprently likes it. And Dan thinks we'll be happy how close the story has stayed.
: Re: New GOF photos : HPfamily November 08, 2005, 04:40:23 AM I don't know about everyone else, but it bothers me when things get taken out or shuffled around. Or even added!!! They didn't have to do a dance lesson scene!!! It wasn't in the book!! I really wanted to see Dobby!!!
(Sorry! Getting a little too fired up!!) ::) I think Chris Columbus did the best on staying true to the book!!! : Re: New GOF photos : Morningangel-Iola November 08, 2005, 04:43:11 AM Thats true, it is annoying when they add stuff when they could have left some of the original things in.
: Re: New GOF photos : rns91294 November 08, 2005, 04:45:27 AM I don't know about everyone else, but it bothers me when things get taken out or shuffled around. Or even added!!! Getting a little too fired up!!) ::) I think Chris Columbus did the best on staying true to the book!!! Chris did the first two, right? Lets remember, those were shorter books too, but he did a great job, I agree. In fact, I saw the movies (the first two) before reading the books and was shocked to see how exact they were once I read the books (with the exception of the Death Day party). I really wanted to see Dobby too. I guess I should be happy Moaning Myrtle comes back. : Re: New GOF photos : HPfamily November 08, 2005, 05:09:12 AM Chris did the first two, right? I really wanted to see Dobby too. I guess I should be happy Moaning Myrtle comes back. You are correct about Chris Columbus! Well I can say one thing about changes between books and movies. It produces a huge discussion with my kids. With POA, we sat around for quite a while discussing the differences. I thought that was so great!!! (At the time they were all under the age of 8) I wonder whats going to happen with OOTP movie!!!! That's the longest book!!!! : Re: New GOF photos : EmmasOneandOnly November 08, 2005, 05:23:10 AM SPOILER
MuggleNet has little cast called MuggleCast and about a week ago they had Matthew from Veritasrum.com who got to go to the advace screening for the cast before the press junket. He said that if you hadnt read the book you wouldnt know that Barty Crouch Jr. was dead : Re: New GOF photos : HPfamily November 08, 2005, 05:25:52 AM See what I mean? ??? Another change that you would think needs to be known!!
: Re: New GOF photos : Morningangel-Iola November 08, 2005, 05:28:56 AM But he's not.
: Re: New GOF photos : EmmasOneandOnly November 08, 2005, 05:31:35 AM Another slight spoiler
Yes he is, he dies at the end of book 4. After they find out he's not Moody : Re: New GOF photos : Morningangel-Iola November 08, 2005, 05:44:52 AM No he's worst than dead he had his soul sucked out if I remember rightly. He is not dead but souless :o
: Re: New GOF photos : EmmasOneandOnly November 08, 2005, 05:56:47 AM Thats right, Anyways, I'm reading the end over to clear my mind ;D
: Re: New GOF photos : EmmasOneandOnly November 08, 2005, 06:16:05 AM Found it, heres what it says in the book
But Professor McGonagall's voice drowned Fudge's "The moment that - that thing entered the room," she screamed, pointing at Fudge, trembling all over, "it swooped down on Crouch and - and -" Harry felt a chill in his stomack as Professor McGonagall stuggled to find words to describe what had happened. He did not need her to finish her sentence. He knew what the dementor must have done. It had administered its fatal kiss to Barty Crouch. It has sucked his soul out through his mouth. He was worse than dead. |
