: James Doohan passed away this morning : kbmum July 21, 2005, 01:14:54 AM It's a sad day. James Doohan, who played Scotty on the original Star Trek series, died this morning of pneumonia and Alzheimer's disease. He was 85.

He was a great Star Trek character and more importantly never seemed ashamed or fed up of it. I loved his cameo in TNG and was very sorry to hear of his death, particularly as he leaves a young family behind. |
