I thought we were going to learn more about Lily and James and the Potter family, and where the Potter fortune came from, but all we learned about was a bit about Lily's talent in Potions and James using Snape's curses.

Yeah I was a bit disspointed in that.

What are Hermione's Parents names?, we know James and Lily, and Arthur and Molly, but what's the Grangers' names?

also, how did Harry get his broomstick back in HBP?

I don't think see ever mentioned Hermione's parents names :-\

I think he got it back before he left and it was really important to see. JK has already said when she was asked how Harry got the Map back in OotP and she said he when into Moodys office and got it she just didn't think fans would want to see Harry run into the office a take it :)

Well, that's a satisfactory answer for the map, but the Broom was confiscated, and CHAINED up in the dungeon....

being a pretty expensive item, (Harry's most valuable posession), combined with the fact that Umbridge banned him for life, I figured it would be a pretty significant thing, him trying to get it back......

forgive me if I don't settle for the same arguement in this case (I know you're just trying to help), but this isn't the same, IMHO as the Marauder's Map situation.....

they made a significant stink about this in OOtP, that I wanted to see the question answered, instead of them glossing over it, and moving along.......I honestly thought, that since that particular plot point (his lifetime quidditch ban) was not resolved in OOtP, that he'd have to appeal to the Ministry, and have a significant battle to get his broom (and quidditch privledges) back......

it would seem Umbridge is still with the Ministry, and there was no idication that any of her 'laws' had been disbanded, so I figured it'd be more important than it was.....

I don't really think getting back the broom and playing Quidditch is really that much of a big deal, nether is getting back the Map.

I really wouldn't want the story to be interrupted by Harry getting his brook back and having half a chapter where Dumbledore and the Ministry are fighting over giving Harry his Quidditch privileges.
