So who is getting theirs tonight and who's waiting til morning - I was going to wait - and I have had my dispatch notice (for an order I apparently placed on December the 22nd) has finally been dispatched hooray!

I am NOT going to like the look on the postie's face in the morning when he gets here after delivering 1000 of these and having 1000 more to go  ;D

here in Oz the release is tomorrow (9.01am) so ill be in line with all the kiddies patiently (or not) waiting for my copy  ;D

I will have mine at 7:01 am ( W.A times ) . Woooooohhooooo only hours to go

I have to work tomorrow :'(

But I will pick up my copy before work 0:)

I read an article that Royal Mail is adding an additional 750 delivery trucks to its routes tomorrow to handle all of the books.

He hee - they are DEFINITELY going to groan in the morning when the alarm goes off...

Oh come on, they should stop their whinging, this is the 2nd last time they are going to have to do it ;)

Oh you lot who sit at home to get it delivered... I am rocking up at 8am to wait outside the bookstore... there are 2 right next to each other where I am going, so I'll go to the one with the smallest queue (or books left over). Last time they set up a booth outside the store to just handle the HP books... hopefully I will get one from there 8)

I have decided to go into Lichfield at midnight to collect mine - must also remember to set the video to record the live reading by JKR from Edinburgh.

The choice is a hard one to make, but I'm staying at home - will use the later part of tonight to hear JKR tell me the start of the story and then some sleep before it arrives tomorrow - but I'm at a booksigning and the Cambridge film festival tomorrow and a BBQ on Sat, so there's not much time for Potter ???

Ooh no, this is totally different, part of the Cambridge Film Festival we are seeing Howl's Moving Castle (which will go head to head with Wallace and Gromit I bet for next years oscar for best animated feature) - the lady who wrote the book is English and is signing :) so you can breath again now!

Can't wait. I have mine preordered from the nearest bookstore. It's on sale at 11am...so only 11 hours. Not sure what time to get there yet...I'm going to bed soon and then I'll wake up, get dressed, eat breakfast and go get in  line for my book. And then read it...hopefully finish it before a party I'm going to tomrorow night.

I just checked my order with Amazon.  I clicked on the UPS tracking number and found out that my book is at the UPS hub about 7 miles from my house!

Wonder if I could bribe anyone to deliver it today?  After all, they'll have soooooo many books to deliver tomorrow. ;D

I'm watching the JK on Telly Lark, then i jump on my Scooter, bolt into town at 1am and buy the book  ;D

It looks like I won't be going to any book parties after all. :'(  I thought my husband (a pilot) was coming home today.  As it turns out I read the calendar wrong and he won't be home until tomorrow.  I think it may be too late to get a babysitter at this point.  I'm so bummed out! :'(

I know, lots of free stuff. I'm coming home with my arms and bag FULL of everything Harry Potter I can get my hands on (and afford ;) )

Not one who's parents will let them drive back across the bridge by themselves at 1 or 2 in the morning. :'(

I was so tempted to go to Waterstones in Romford; the party starts at 9.00pm and it looks like they have gone to a lot of trouble.  But without a child to go with I would look a total plonker.  The memories of being the tallest person in the cinema for Beauty and the Beast still haunt me  ;)

I could try just standing next to a kid and pretending they were mine..............  But then they might speak to me and I would have to call in the Child Catcher  >:D

I know they made the DVD game "Scene It' with all Ahrry Potter related stuff.  You can find it at barnes and nobles website, but it is $50!!!

what time does the book officially go on sale?  I was talking to a coworker on the cell and he was going into barnes and noble (it is only 6 pm here) and he said "what is going on there is a huge line waiting outside of the bookstore?"  By the way it is 106 degrees  :o outside today we have been in the 100's all week now that is dedication.

Anyway I told him it was for the new HP book, I also asked if anyone was dressed up and he didn't see anyone who was in costume.  I didn't know what time it goes on sale though, if it is 12 midnight they are officially crazy to be in line in 106 heat and last night it was still 93 degrees at 11pm so it won't get much cooler   :P

It's definately 12 midnight when it goes on sale.  Some stores around me are starting HP parties early for the little kids to do crafts and face painting.  Like around 9:00.  But why they are waiting in line at 6:00 I have no idea.

I am sure the bookstore has enough copies

I guess they will be sorry when they die of heatstroke >:D

Yeah there will be a LOT of people ill in bed today - and I bet they did it on purpose so that they could spend the day in bed reading Potter ;)

I got my book this morning at Target.  They had plenty and it was only $16 and change.  I'll be returning the one I ordered from Wal-mart.  They sent an email this morning that it was shipped, but I wasn't going to wait another 3-5 days to get it! >:()

Well, some bad news :'(

I actually didnt go to the book release party because I just suddenly fell ill :(. So I picked mine up this morning at Suncoast.

Aw, Mike.  That stinks.  Well, there is one more book to come out, so one more chance for a book party in a couple of years.  The important thing is you got the book.  And you made some cool props!  I hope you're feeling better.

I did think I might have finished if I had got mine at midnight but I didn't get it until nine, although I woke up at 6 and only dozed off and on after that. ::)

I think I'm doing pretty well for getting it so late.

Yeah not bad, I don't know if I will get any sleep tonight would love to finish it in one day have never done that with a book. Although two days wouldn't be bad I suppose

Oh Mike sorry you couldn't go to your party, but as Kelly said there is another book to come.  And that will be a party to end all parties.  Even I might go (child or no child ;))

Spooky thing happened Saturday morning though.  I am reading happilly in bed when the door bell rang at about 8.00am.  An incredilbly jolly postman hands over a large parcel and says 'here's your Harry Potter'

Well as I hadn't ordered one I thought 'nooooo, must be something else'.  But yes it was another copy; my Dad had won me one from the Daily Mirror.  I don't what shocked me the most; that I had won a prize or that the postman had shown up before noon and was happy  ;D

DId postys get special Harry Potter rate on Saturday
