The Yak Shack Forum

Following the wise instruction of the Yak overlord of the Potter forums, it has been decreed that a seperate forum be created in order for obsessed post-HBP Yaks to discuss the book. As each of us read at different speeds, we would all hate it if we checked into the Shack and saw a thread entitled "X dies! OMG!!!! I LOVE you X!!!! Damn JK - WHY?" if we had not finished the book. So we have created the *SPOILER* thread that will be unlocked on July 16 (exciting, huh?) in which those that have finished the book or not finished and just want to find out what happens (these people deserve a finger wagging in their general direction ;) ) can freely discuss in the aftermath of post HBP

Please confine your discussion of the book in that forum. ALL THREADS RELATING TO SPOILERS WILL BE DELETED

This is so people do not inadvertently reveal spoilers - I know how annoyed I would be if it were me.

I'd like to add that anyone who posts spoilers in other threads will be summarily thwacked with the CatCF long grass prop! ;)

You can count on me to thwap anybody who spoils Harry Potter, but let's use the HP book itself instead, I don't want to damage the poor innocent prop on anyone's head  :rofl:

An excellent idea, especially since there are millions of books, but only 95 of the props!

Honestly, though, I can't imagine that any Shack member would purposely spoil the book.  Now everyone will know where to post.  The new thread will be the perfect place for people to discuss the plot and anyone who doesn't want to know that info can easily avoid it.

I am so happy to see this thread ;D  You see, it takes me a long time to read these books.  I like to say I will readi it in one day....which I could......but then it would all be over before it even started :'(  So, I usually only read a chapter to two a day, and I was worried being here, I might see a thread will a revealing title.  I really appreciate that you all are looking after the little people, like me ;)

Mum mentioned a quite valid point, are we going to have a thread for each chapter to post in after we have read it (or a few in one) or if we have to wait until the end to discuss it  :-\

Maybe chapter 1-5 or something etc

I can't see people reading one chapter and putting the book down to analyze it the first time through (well those that do have far more self control than me!) Dawn's suggestion of Chaps 1-5 might be a good idea... so we have chapter discussions and an overall discuss thread as well... might as well unlock that tonight as I'm off to bed now and will be out of the house early tomorrow :)
