Hi,
I've been lurking forever but I finally have some news that would make me register! I have bought a case! I'm so excited. So far I've only been able to buy a box from my local dealer, but I was so lucky with that box it started a fever. In that box I pulled a hermione auto card and a candy prop card (can't remember the name). I can't wait till I get the case! This is so much more addictive than LOTR. :o :o :o

Heh - maybe when you get a Hermione and prop in one box - remember I got 3 dud boxes out of 5 so you are not always that lucky  ???

ya that is pretty bad in one case but on the upside you did get 2 sirius autograph card

Yeah one for each of us - phew thank goodness Ben didn't get both Sirius'... I'd have put out his eyeses  :P

Samwise, I will sell the hermione card if I get a double in the case. I will let you know. Right now I'm just so excited about the case.

Roz I will definetely enter the competition. I found out about the HP cards so late, I have no promos cards at all!

Well my case should arrive tomorrow! I'll let you guys know when it comes. I was wondering if anyone knew how to spot a "hot box" from the rest. I know I'm not lucky enough to get one, but I'm so curious.  :o :o :o

Or ask to borrow sonarghost's german shepherd to go around sniffing them for you :D

It arrived today!!! I just finished opening it and i'll post the findings on the odds thread shortly.

Thanks to everyone with advice on the hot box. I didn't get one, but I got 1 card that made the whole case fun to open.

The list is up on the odds page. I had a question though. How are you guys storing your prop/costume cards??? I have the cases for auto cards, and cases for super thick cards like the LOTR costume, but these cards won't fit well in either.

The seller was selling boxes at $149 a box and said that you would get a sealed case if you bought 10. I figured it was best to get the case. I think I made at least my money back though considering the items I pulled, and the extra hermione card i got from a box that i spent $60 on.

Good work, pretty good case price considering what a box is going for now, the hermione auto and the spiders card saved it.  
My case had no low numbered props and I "may" be able to break even just because of the hermione auto.

And I bought mine for $1050.  So you did well I would say could have been much worse.

So are you not keeping ANY of these cards? That's a shame. I want to buy a house too but in the UK the price of a card (yep even a FOTR Merry) hardly makes any difference to the price of a house  >:(

The money will go to pay off my car loan which will get me approved for a house loan hopefully. I would like to keep a few cards, but in the end I'd rather sell them.

Well I really can't blame you Becka! I am thinking about buying my friends house when they move later this year..I would be able to make a really good down payment if I were to sell some of the cards, boxes, cases, ect. that I have now. I don't know what to do ???

I was right there with you sonarghost. I thought I would never sell my cards. But then I just went for it. I still have 2 cases of ROTK update boxes that still have to decide what to do with.
