So what are we all doing? Re-reading the first 5 books? Making up for the social life that we will not have for the period of time it takes us to read the book? Repeatedly squealing "23 days and 11 hours to go!!!! OMG! *squeeeeeeeeee*!!!!" to friends and family?

Me: all of the above (and have been threatened with being locked up for the next 23 days and 11 hours).

Make that 23 days, 11 hours and 25 minutes :D

I re-read the books and finished the OOTP last month.  Now I'm just trying to keep my mind off of the new one that's coming!

ok, I may be the only one who hasn't read the books, so if you can give me a countdown til the HBP movie comes out I will be very excited.   Or is there going to be a picture book?   Or maybe I can pick up the book on tape or CD!

Who has time to read books with all the card collecting to do :P

Its been over a year since I ready OoTP (isnt that bad  :o) so I should prob re-read it some time in the next 23 days 10 hours 59 minutes and 50sec  ;D

Oh no Becks, the books are vasty superior to the movies. Much more earthy too IMHO. Although they are massively thick and off-putting -ooer

Well it's very exciting, I suppose it's far too late to re-read them all now :( oops!

Definitely don't judge the books by the movies... the books are much better!

And Roz - 23 days - surely you can rip through 5 books! ;)

Oh yes, the books are better. When i startet reading the books 4 or 5 years ago, i was reading the first 3 books within 1 week, too good to stop.  ;D

Just ordered my copy on CD read by jim dale I always buy the USA verion as it is much cheaper and comes out on the release date where as it takes weeks for the UK version to be released

I have neary finished OotP again and I was shocked how much I had forgotten  :o

My goal before HBP comes out is to get Dad settled into OotP - he has read the other four books this year and is totally hooked, particularly on the PC games.

And I fall into the 'Repeatedly squealing "23 days and 11 hours to go!!!! OMG! *squeeeeeeeeee*!!!!" to friends and family?' catagory, but with the addition of work colleagues  ;D

What am I doing? Waiting for my grandma to buy it and then pass it down :) I *wish* I could find more time to read, but it's just not there. Books are backlogged waiting for me to read them - we just bought The Historian to read this summer, and I've still not finished Angels and Demons yet...

I dont need  to re-read. I remember everything ;D well not everything but thats why I burned the audio books ;)

I am reading all of the books over again, I am now in the middle of "Order of the Phoenix"  ;D I wanted to refresh my memory on what happened so I can enjoy book six more  ;)

I am so excited because I have three things to look forward to that night  ;D The new HP book, Stargate season 9 premiere, and Atlantis season 2 premiere. This is going to be a great weekend  ;D

What I want to know is how you physically put that book DOWN.

Yes I know the story lead us shamelessly but it was still a gripping read

11 days to go! I'm trying to cram Books 1-4 in these 11 days in between study :P And I still haven't pre-ordered... I think I will just buy it in the day.

Dymocks and Borders look like the place to go! Although I did get OoTP for $4.95 (go gift vouchers!) so I don't really mind where I get it from :)

Im just finishing reading OoTP now. Ended up ordering from Dymocks for $29.95 as I have to work in the morning and I am sure Big W would have sold out by 1pm. Had to pre pay for the whole book so at least I can just go in and grab it without any hassles.  ;)

I just reserved it because thats all SunCoast offered

Yeah I didnt really want to pay for it now but they said it was compulsory. I suppose so people dont back out and buy it elsewhere if they find out its cheaper.  :-\

29.95 is meant to be the price only if you pay in full up-front....otherwise its 34.95 or something like that; i read that somewhere

that is the price dymocks is quoting for the sale of the book 29.95 if you pre pay and 34.95 on the day and angus and robertson are charging 39.95

I can't believe we only have a few more days!  has everyone seen Mikes new avatar?  Pretty cool. 8)  I think the Shack will be pretty quiet for the first few days after the release.  Everyone will be too busy reading to be posting!

Yay party, all be it a very quiet party with lots of page turning ;) I've got summer school on from the 29th to the 6th August. How am I going to fit Harry in with my work. (And how am I going to be without the yak shack  :o )
