Thank you.  I so want to cry.  That is the one card I was hoping would be in this set, and to know that I will never in a million years be able to afford it really hurts :'(

Yeah, I know what you mean. The ticket is also a strong prop like the Sorcerers Stone because without it students would be able to get to Hoggy :'(

I just happen to love the Hogwarts Express.  I don't know why, but that is one of my favorite parts of the movices and books.  I would love that card and you would not believe how bad I want it, but I could not afford it if it is like the Pear Tree Leaf. 

love the wand cards they are not as limited as they could have been at 205 but there you go and the coin cards look great too

No wonder the wand prop is a dealer incentive.  That's a full piece of the wand, not a slice! :o  It must be an incredibly thick card.

Does anyone know how thick the wand cards are?

I'm guessing really thick. I have the replica of Emmas/Hermiones wand and it should be as thick as the devils snare or thinner

They look huge the wand seems almost framed by the card, I'll let you know this week as I'll have first hand experience ;)

Hi i'm very new here so you will have to forgive me if i'm not up to scratch on my card collecting. I'm just starting out myself.

I just bought one of those wand cards from ebay so i will post pictures of how thick it is if anyone is interested.

Welcome, yes please, and when it gets here if you would post the picture of the wand bit that would be great too, each of these seems to be so individual and different that they are all interesting ;D

There is already a picture of it on this site. I think the webmaster must have got it from the auction i bought. It's the third one down. but i will do some higher res scans and photos.

Yes I was lucky enough to get that picture from the dealer you bought it off if that's the one,  he's a nice guy and you can be sure your card will get to you nice and quickly. ;D

You have no idea how tempted i am to buy that platform 9 3/4 card from ebay. If i wasn't going on holiday with my girlfriend next month and need the money i would. Such bad timing! If there are only 40 of them how often does something like that come up for auction? and how much do they go up in price over time?

Well I think we have had 10 peartree cards on ebay in the last 12 months - that's limited to 30 of course, but if you think about it they must have distributed up to 20 of those (one card every 25 cases and 500 cases made), and for Platform 9 and 3/4 around 16 must have been distributed (one for every 50 cases 800 cases made).

So it's rarer, but it's newer.

ok so...

option 1.    I buy the card.....girlfriend murders me in minorca and makes it look like a sunbathing accident......girlfriend inherits card.

option 2.   I have a nice SAFE holiday and save to buy the next one that come up for auction.


option 2 is looking good.  ;D

Well, if you want to be alive for long enough to enjoy the card, which I am guessing you would prefer to be, then I say go for Option 2 as well. Just my opinion though ;)

Never annoy your better half if they are female - you will regret it ;D Besides, I think you will see this card for sale again, although I am not sure what the price will be like.

Oh yes there will be more... but this card hasn't settled at a price yet..lol but we can't tell you if that price is going up or down because Jo (Ferdinand the Yak) broke the Crystal ball!
