: Battlefield Earth Auto!!! : Trey May 20, 2005, 11:58:20 AM To satisfy my pack-opening craving while waiting for SS set I brought 2 boxes of battlefield earth trading cards. They have autos in them but they are very limited:
John Travolta 200 Barry Pepper 200 Forest Whittaker 200 Well I did not pull the Travolta auto :( but I did pull the BARRY PEPPER AUTO 47/200!!!!! ;D ;D ;D woo hoo Does anyone know what this would be worth? I havent seen an auction for this yet..... Also..is anyone interested in buying it?? ;D : Re: Battlefield Earth Auto!!! : beckham1 May 20, 2005, 12:04:47 PM According to nonsport update it is worth $140, but if you know how out of whack there price guide is you would
I would guess maybe you could get $50 (maybe a little more) only one way to find out :ebay: That is seriously a super rare card and tough to pull. That set flopped (I think) because the autos were the only thing worth a box and were next to impossible. And I guess the movie sucked (that is what I heard from many people). Did It??? : Re: Battlefield Earth Auto!!! : Trey May 20, 2005, 12:08:09 PM haha would you believe I have never even seen the movie!! I was just hoping for a John Travolta auto, thats all :P and the box price was very cheap so I took the chance!!
I really knew that the autos were hard to pull, so I was a little shocked to find one in there really :D : Re: Battlefield Earth Auto!!! : Trey May 20, 2005, 12:15:05 PM Hey beckham, thanks for the advice. Do u think I should just list it on ebay and see how I go?? I dont know if many people would be looking for one though ???
Does anyone else have some advice for me as well? Pretty please :-* : Re: Battlefield Earth Auto!!! : beckham1 June 17, 2005, 11:48:42 PM might as well try to sell it, especially if it doesn't have value to you.
: Re: Battlefield Earth Auto!!! : Trey July 01, 2005, 11:23:26 AM Hey beckham, took your advice and listed it up on ebay and in about 10 minutes I already have one bid ;D yay!
Well shall see how it goes, thanks heaps for the advice. T : Re: Battlefield Earth Auto!!! : DewDude July 08, 2005, 11:57:21 PM That set flopped (I think) because the autos were the only thing worth a box and were next to impossible. And I guess the movie sucked (that is what I heard from many people). Did It??? Yes it did! I saw it in the theater and it stunk to high heaven. Mark : Re: Battlefield Earth Auto!!! : Sharon July 09, 2005, 12:15:33 AM I am afraid I went to the pictures to see this too. There are no words to describe how bad it was. Thinking back I remember sitting in the cinema, looking around and wondering if it was just me. Then realising everyone in there was also looking around in shock thinking the same thing - how could something so expensive and good looking (the look was amazing) be so truly awful ???
: Re: Battlefield Earth Auto!!! : DewDude July 09, 2005, 02:12:04 AM That whole "We mined the gold and smelted it and poured it into bars for you with our stone age tools and skills", was just too much for me. Even though it was a lie, Travolta (can't remember the character name) bought it WITHOUT QUESTION! What a pantload!
This movie ranks up there in my top Sci-Fi movie dissappointments along with Stargate. What a way to take a way cool sci-fi premise and devolve it into a crappy CG strewn shoot-em-up by the end of the movie. Anyway, to keep this on topic, I would love to have a John Travolta autograph card. Mark : Re: Battlefield Earth Auto!!! : grecopa July 09, 2005, 09:19:34 AM How much did your Barry Pepper auto end up going for?
: Re: Battlefield Earth Auto!!! : Trey July 11, 2005, 04:56:31 AM Only for the $49.99 that I had it for, only had one bid, but I dont care :) I havent even seen the movie haha
