What do you think about this auction I won?

I have always been curious about guaranteed mem card packs. I had a sneaking suspicion that unscrupulous sellers could load empty packs with a cheap costume and somehow reseal the pack with a sealing device. Would that be too hard? Has anyone here ever bought a guaranteed chase card pack?

I thought it was a cheap gamble for a Arwen requiem () but if I get a Sam, heaven help the nearest person to me at the time >:()

Yes I have bought one before and I got a Trilogy Sam from it :D So that was jolly good :D

The seller I bought from was fine and it definitely wasn't re-sealed, and I doubt very much that yours will be either.

Good luck

Cool - thanks ;D

I'll def post what I get - the good thing is all other costumes apart from Sam are worth about or near enough to the amount I paid, so I'll get my moneys worth 8)

Here's hoping... but do remember that Sam was rather prolific!

I won one for the two towers update set and pulled a Galadriel costume (though not the best variant). I don't remember how much I paid but the Galadriel card was going for more than I paid so I lucked out. It's definitely a gamble depending on how much you pay. I was tempted a few more times but didn't want to encourage cherry picking myself. While the seller may be selling these packs from their own boxes, they might just be going to local stores and picking them out.  >:()

But good luck with the pull, hope it's good!

Guaranteed packs are common with baseball and such. They can be found by any number of ways. So I would say that it is not very likely that a pack was resealed.

Hopefully it turns out to be a good card.

I have had some really good luck with these type of packs and have never got a card I didn't want.  The bloke I (or rather my kindly brother  ;D) buys them off of actually goes into shops and weighs the packs.  I know this is totally unfair but if I didn't buy them someone else would  :-\

I've bought two. The first time I pulled a ...WHAT ELSE... Sam's Travel Jacket >:()

The second one I bought was from ROTK update, and I got an Elrond, which I was very happy with.

I got a Faramir for the record which I am happy with! :D

And a note - it is SO easy to pick these LOTR mem packs - you could feel the 2 base cards above and below the costume card around because the edges jut out. And the pack is very inflexible and solid. So don't buy loose packs hoping for a costume is all I can say! :)

I am still mystified as to how they can pick auto hot packs though ???
