OK folks I upgraded the forum. Just wait till I fix the colours and it'll be back to normal but with some better bits ;)

Hope no one has any objections..... if you do, please take them up with the management. That's me!

Seriously though, if you notice anything going squiffy on a regular basis please let me know so I can try and fix it....

Something I have taken an immediate dislike to is the number of minutes spent logged in ;) I have already clocked up more than half an hour!!!

LOL - be glad that it hasn't logged in time spent on the OLD forum as well... I think we would both be in terms of weeks ;)

Well, Ive had mine logged in all day, running in the background, but Ive only been online for 2 hours   ???

I expect it does it by when you are clicking - after you have stopped clicking for a while it will assume you have logged off I expect.

Thats a bummer, I was trying to log up an extraordinary number of hours  ;D

On another note, are we getting our post count back?

OK well, sorry about the post count but some people were getting obsessed with it and posting rubbish just to increase their post count so I thought it was best to get rid of it. What does it matter, really, anyway?

no worries, I was just looking out for when I would progress to the next level, but I do try to keep my posts to a minimum  ;D

No, no - post and post often - it would be appreciated if people kept the posts as on topic as possible and avoid one word posts etc... if you feel as if you are having a conversation with someone (ie its just the 2 of you posting one after the other in rapid succession) maybe use PMs or MSN or another messenger service to continue your chats there. Its just out of courtesy to other members who are trying to read info related to the thread and not other peoples' conversations!

Aye - it seems there's some teething problems but we shall all be settled in soon.

I hope we will get the blue and white striped background back in time as I thought that tied it in with the main yak shack well :)

I like it, but the text is small for my old eyes and I forgot my login information :) I did manage to figure it out and increased the font size in my browser, so both problems are resolved - except for this screen - I still seem to be typing miniscule letters ...

Hooray for client-side font size adjustments! Sorry you got logged out, but hopefully we should be staying put for quite a while like this now ;)

I don't see it here but I have seen it on my travels about the forum - did you just make it possible in one part of the forum?

No I don't think so... it's under the individual user options but I tried to turn it on for all useres as I think it's useful. I guess it didn't work... :(

I just turned on Quick Reply for myself and it is VERY COOL :)

It just sticks a little box under the topic so you can reply on the same page that you view on. It's useful, but not essential...

The new smilies are quite fun. Are we likely to have one or two more smillies or do we have to have whole smiley packs of junk ?:(

It's quite possible I could configure it to do new smileys... that's something I haven't actually spent too much time on yet. But it looks quite intuative! You can switch smiley sets on a whim! Anyone finds some good ones, post a link - I'm looking for the best set out there! It has to have all the ones we have already, but I might be able to get it to show a few new ones as well...

This is really, really cool Mark! I like all the new stuff that was added ... I've been looking through the profile page and there's so much to do there (when compared to the previous one)! The new look will take some adjustment, but that's really nothing compared to all the stuff that we got. Thanks!!!

Oh yeah, and the new smileys are a good addition.  ;)

EDIT: I just had to add that I keep noticing new things that intrique me greatly. After the shock of the 50 case incentive (amidst studying and packing), this is quite a treat!

I like the search option to check before starting a new topic. (It wasn't always there was it  :-\). I am getting to like the new shack. I do like seeing my avi at the top too  ;)

Very clean and straight forward. I think it will be much easier to navigate.

Hey Mark - Is there a way you can change the 'Total time logged in' from cumulative hours/minutes to session hours/minutes?  I keep looking up at it and the time I've spent at the Shack is really worrying me. :-\  Other than that everything else is really cool! 8)

Can I just say I love the way it now tells you there has been a next post since you started you reply. Lets you look less of a pudding  ;D
