The guy I'm getting my case from has emailed to tell me that it won't be out now until the 19th. Anyone else hearing this?

I think I posted somewhere that Potomac has the release date listed as the 19th so I would guess that is correct info.  It is a good resource to check as they list the dates for expected release.  Like they have CATCF listed as releasing on June 30th.

Oh.  :o  One more week waiting.  :'(

I hope Artbox doesn't move it out even further.  I don't think I can take another release date postponement. :P

Today (Thursday) marks it two weeks to the release ;D

This seller states that the release date is May 18, but they expect to receive their cases May 16.

I sent another email to Artbox to ask for confirmation of the release date.  While I was at it, I also asked if the James and Lilly autos are on individual cards or a dual auto.  I'll post when I hear from them.

I heard back from Artbox (they've been responding to email quickly lately).  I asked if the release date was changed to May 19.

Yes, the release date has been changed to May 12th.  We have James and Lily Potter, but they're not a dual card.


There we have it.  As of this morning, the release date is still May 12. :)

That's great news about the May 12th date being confirmed. ;D  I was really upset when I heard it was moved to the 19th.

It was oddly worded, but I'm sure they meant that, YES, the date was changed, AND that date is May 12.

My calender looks like crap. I marked off the 12th then the 19th and had to use the 13th as the 12th ::)

But, I'm glad its the 12th ;D

The information that I have is that the cases will be shipped from California on the 12th of May, expected arrival date depends on distance shipped. Makes sense. 
So all of you 50 case buyers   :rofl: will just have to be patient.

I'm happy about it, too, but we've had many surprises (some good, some not so good) from Artbox.  I won't be happy until I know that the cases truly have been shipped to the distributors and dealers.

This is why everyone uses IPAQs and electronic calendars these days.

I have a wall calendar but I don't write on it ;)

The response from Artbox says "YES THE RELEASE DATE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO MAY 12th."

Could be the person who responded to this mistyped the date.  Why would they say yes it has been changed and then put the original date of release????   You would want to think direct from Artbox is the most reliable, but I wouldn't trust the wording based on that response.  A contradicting statement at best.  I was emailed by my local dealer (a couple of weeks back) saying it was pushed back from the 12th and I checked Potomac and they pushed their date back too (info is no longer on the Potomac website). 

I certainly hope it is still the 12th, but I wouldn't count on it based on multiple members hearing the 19th.

Don't forget the original date was for late April - the 26th or so - so yes the date has been moved back...definitely not before the 12th - and to be honest whether it is the 12th or the 19th is not a massive deal as it takes so long for everything to be shipped about that most of us couldn't hope to see much before the 19th even if it is released on the 12th ;)

I believe the 12th. But unfortunately, i'm sure not to open my boxes before 23rd. It's a long way to Germany ...

I e-mailed my dealer and he just informed me that they are shipping on the 12th.

You know what would have really helped. If they had actually put the date on their website  ::)

Yes you are absolutely right, it would be a good play on Artboxes part, but then again they have many other releases previously that it would be nice to have have info on their website about. 

1 more hour (for EST people) til HP GOF preview during COS.  Of course 4 hours for me :'(

How long is COS the scheduled time for tonight is 4 hours :o  Hopefully that is about 10 min of preview and a little with Dan, Emma, and Rupert (cut the hair please).

Dan, the twins, Rupert all look like they got their hair cut with a chainsaw.

Oh yes you won't be ab;e to see them in there soon. I really like Dan's hair in POA I thought it was right for once. But GOF just too shaggy.

Anyhoo back on track I can't wait for my SS box, I'm getting very excited but knowing my luck I will either get a dud box or something naff :(

I think I am just getting to old to be up with the trends the teenagers are going with.  We would have said you look like a hippie with your hair like that :rofl:

I know I am getting old, I went to the mall today and just can't believe the clothes (or rather the lack there of) that the kids are wearing.  Oh well I am hitting the hay 2am here.  See you in the evening.

Personnaly I think the long hair makes them look like girls, but what does this old fogey know?  Apparently the young chicks dig it.  Beckham is right, just try shopping for a 6 year old girl sometime.  It's insane! :o  The clothing makers obviously want all our little angels to look like hookers.  I REFUSE!  And end up paying way more than I should for decent outfits. :'(  I'm not even going to think about the release date anymore.  When it comes in the mail it will be like an unexpected present! :o=

I hate long hair, I always keep mine short. Monica likes Dan and thinks he looks like a Hobo with his hair like that :P

Just out of curiousity I emailed Potomac who had at one point May 19 as the ship date for SS, and here is the response I got:(I was inquiring as to a ship or in stock date)

Hi,

The latest information we have indicates that we will ship all
pre-orders by
May 19.  It is possible that we may get them sooner because Artbox
generally
gives us a "ship" date (when they will ship to us) as opposed to a
"release"
date (when we can ship to you).  So, we usually calculate our own "ship
by"
date based on Artbox's ship date, factoring in the worst case scenario
so no
one is disappointed if they arrive late.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Not sure if that tells us much other than if they expect to ship orders by the 19th they must be getting them on the 18th or before and I would imagine that means Artbox is shipping them at worst case scenario by next Monday probably sooner so maybe the 12th give or take a day. :o=

For our case, we were told that Artbox's ship date was 12th May and our dealer should recieve on 19th May...then he would ship to us on 19th...by the time we recieve it here in oz though, we will probably have it after everyone else  ::)

Is your dealer in the US?  I once got a box from Ozcards in Aus. and he seemed pretty cool, I think it was a box of LOTR FOTR Update.

Yep, dealer is in the US.

Ozcards inc is pretty good, the guy who runs it (Jason) is great, but of course there is a longer wait as the dealer sends it to Ozcards inc, and then they send it to us....also it is cheaper for us aussies to get together and buy a case from US, it reduces our box cost by about AU$25 per box!

very wise that you guys get together and do it like that.  I guess shipping cost isn't so bad if you can split it between a few people.

Got a mail from my dealer

"The current street date is May 17/18 and since we are a retailer Artbox is direct shipping to us so we should have on May 16."

The collector zone as a 1/6/2005 release date :-\

They also have Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the same date!!

 :o= that it's a mistake

Or they might be saving money and shipping them in both together  >:()
