I have been offered the chance to buy a case of POA update for $300.  Would you do it?  Is it worth the risk?  What is the worst that could happen, I would think I would get at least $200 worth of costume, props and auto's.   :-\

Well, it depends.  If you have loads of this release already, you might not want to do it, but the price is fantastic (I would do it if I could afford it right now).  And you never know, you may get some very nice variants too!!!

I had some awful boxes but I would be tempted if I were in America.  As it is the postage and import duty would totally put me off at even at half this price.

But as far as the worse that could happen?  You could just get a few sleeping bags, lupin jackets and quidditch robes.  Some of the cases have been that bad.

But then again you could get amazing autos and the variants we know/hope are out there.

If I buy his last two cases he offered me a price of $280 each.  For me it is more a question of can I get some of the cards I need and maybe a big auto at those prices???  It would be a little bit of a roll of the dice, but I do like to gamble.  Also considering it is about half (or more than half) of what I paid for most of the cases I bought originally.

For that price, I think it's worth the risk.  If you're unhappy after opening a few boxes, you can sell the rest of the boxes for about $40 each on eBay.

This is just like a really old quiz show on UK TV.  All the audience used to yell

'Take the money'  or 'Open the box'

This helps not in the slightest on your case dilemma but I was just sitting here laughing about it so thought I would share.  ;D

At $28 a box I think I would take the risk.

There was a show in the US like this too.  It was called "Let's Make a Deal".

Anyway, i do think you should go for it.  Just imagine, at that price, you pull Dan's auto and sell it for a profit!!! Although, if it were me, I would keep it.

If I were you beckham, I would buy both cases.  It's a good deal. ;D  And like the others have pointed out, you can always sell the boxes on ebay. ;)

I'd snap up at least a case as well! :o
