Cool start, but now we must find out what the "Much, Much More" is. :)

Looks cool!  Unfortunately I won't be purchasing any.  I overextended myself on the POA Update and my wife has pretty much laid down the law where future card purchases are concerned.

That's really a good thing though because we are focusing on getting out of debt and starting a family this year.  Both of which are more important than cards.

But at the same time, old hobbies die hard!  I've got the pack busting itch!

Now we know that there is definately 8000 boxes we can do a bit of guessing on numbers

if we say 15 props, 9 Costumes, 8 autos and 9 film cards

then there would be an average number of

15 props with an average of 266 of each
9 costumes with an average of 888 of each
8 Autos with an average of 500 of each
9 Film cards with an average of 266 of each

that is worked out on

5 autos
5 Props
10 costumes and
3 film cards per case

of course that all changes once we have more accurate info of the number of each kind of card

and some will obviously be lower in number and some higher

So the Wizard Coins are going to be the 25-case incentive card.  kbmum and I were wondering how they were going to get around the weight problem, so know we know.

With that rate I hope I come up with the money to buy a case...how does that come out in boxes?

In small print at the botoom, it says the 25 case incentive is the gringott's coins.  I wonder what the 20 case incentive will be.

if the report on the number of cinserts per case is true then it is 2 inserts per box at least (everything Crossed)

so in a case 7 boxes with 2 and 3 boxes with 3

if the info is correct you should get

a costume and
a auto or prop
and sometimes a film card as well

there will be a 10 case incentive card but no 20 case incentive to my knowledge

They could have made Oliver's picture a little nicer though.  And the cards are very similar looking to the old set, but they are nice.  I like the maroon color.

 
Oh, ok thanks Anna ;D . So most of the inserts in one box is two with sometime three and four ???  right

so with 800 cases of 10 that works out as

a 25 case incentive (32) so with a few spares 40 of those sounds right.

a 10 case incentive (80) so with a few spare maybe 90 of those

all this is still speculation but if true the chances of dud boxes is reduced the more inserts per box.

I am sure there will be some boxes with just one card, and some with none :-\  But hopefully, with the print run,  that won't happen.  

I like Harry's pj's.  I also like how the boxes are numbered as well.  This is really great.  I just wish I could afford more than 2 boxes :'(

I find it silly that artbox release info and then put sold out on it. surely that means they don't need to advertise it now  ;)

I agree.  They are sold out, but distributors are not, so they should not put that there.  It makes people think they can't get them at all ???

No, i can't believe that. It would have been noticed too. The stone seems to be in the boxes. Great ! :)

i wonder how they will get it in the cards though maybe a shaving or something a thin strip?? any ideas?

maybe it'll be a little thick, like the sweaters in POA. There had to be more then one stone so thats a possiblilty

I really expect that this set will be very similar to the first set. I expect some props limited not above 100. The Sorcerer's Stone will be one of them, i guess. Golden Ticket and Top Secret Letter most likely too (maybe one is the 10 case incentive). Wish me good luck with my boxes. I had so much bad luck the last time.  :'(

True but this is really something for distributors not for us plebians ;) so actually the info is all right for that purpose  ;D

Oh yeah, for that purpose, it is fine.  

I hope the golden ticket is not the case incentive, but it probably will be since it was small.  That is the one card I would like to have.  Hopefully I will get something really good from my two boxes.  If not, I will need to buy some mroe on eBay (if they are sold out elsewhere) before the prices start to rise.

I've had some luck with my cards so far, I think I will have some with this one *crossed finger ;D*

Prices rising I trhink that could happen but not till people know what is in the boxes totally

Well, I will be on vacation when my first two arrive :'(  As soon as I get home, i will open them, and then probably order more that I can't afford.

I'm glad that the 800 cases are confirmed now. :)

This is great!  I didn't think I'd care for this set, but the little that we've seen looks good.  Harry's pjs -- how cute! :)

I agree! I thought this set was going to be quite the push-over. Well, not that extreme. Anyways, the cards look nice, and the purple looks great!

I only wish we had all the details, right now :P It would make things a lot easier.

Any guesses as to how expensive the coin cards will be?  With 800 cases divided by 25 cases, we'll have 32 cards in total.  Next, will each card have all three coins, or will one-third by galleons, one-third sickles and one-third knuts?  If Artbox goes that way, it will be nearly impossible to get a master set. ::)

 now what I noticed was the line "numbered boxes up to 8,000 only " ...
 which to me means that they might not produce 8,000 boxes at all ....
 might depend on if they get all the auto's back from the signers ...
  maybe only 7,700 boxes or whatever  but still HUGE news and the numbered box idea is terrific ....... at least we know what the highest production number is  ....

   Is there a set release date yet ??

Yes I wondered about that - rumours had varied from 650 cases to 800 so it hasn't fully cleared that up but at least we have a celing on it!

If they don't get all the signers back then we may have some worries with allocation I guess (this is conjecture but it makes sense)

If Artbox doesn't get all of the autos back in time, wouldn't they do redemptions?  I know, we all hate them, but I'd rather get a redemption than a dud box.

The numbered boxes are interesting.  I wonder if someone gets a dud, maybe Artbox would be more willing to send an insert?   They'll have the box number to prove that someone actually bought the box.

I love numbered boxes Rittenhouse do it and it has always made me feel more secure buying a product. Although I did confuse them once when i quoted a box number from the inside of the box rather than the one on the sticker on the out side Silly me!!!

Sorry Ron I ignored your question - everything seems to be moving to around 12th May as the release date I think.

I got and e-mail from my dealer today.  Here's what he said about the moving of the release date:

This is being released about the 12th of May.  Part of the problem is they want to put the autographs in the packs and not redemptions so they delayed it so almost all would be autos.

I hope it doesn't get delayed beyond the 12th!  I was supposed to get my boxes for Mother's Day on May 8.  Oh well.  It's worth the wait to avoid redemptions.

I think it will definetly have some "must have cards" in the set, but there has been cards in all the set that I could do without, but that might be because of the high numbers, would I look at the sleeping bag differently if it was numbered to 100?  Maybe, but its not nearly as cool as the map and other prop and costume cards, I like something with variation, but I do agree that this set is going to catch people off guard, as I feel that many people are mad at artbox for the last set, and its just a matter of time before the realize they are punishing themselves and not artbox by picking up some of this product, I am especially excited for the coin card and the John Cleese autograph.  :)

I talked to people online saying that they wouldnt buy a case/box and know they say that they wish they would have pre-ordered anyways :P

They still can pre-order, it's not sold out from dealers yet!
