A perfect way to describe it ... especially when there's an identical card but with a different number inscribed ... question is, why pay for the number even if you want a master set?

I'm speechless. At least, LikOrish Spider is one step closer to that master set! I mean you got the Pear Tree Leaves among many more and now this one! Congrats!

There's the same Ron robe that's numbered out of 500. I think I saw MPC selling some of them a couple weeks ago ... (I amost bid on a Harry Robe #'ed out of 500). Anyways, the price guide should tell you how much they are going for  ;)

They've still been pretty expensive when I have seen them  ::)

The Ron /500 are pretty rare as well... I have not seen many of them for sale.

Maybe MPC is secretly hoarding them all, cutting out the swatches and making himself a black cloak? ???

Very true, lol! But, in comparison to the one out of 100 ... it's quite cheap  ;)

so they were a bit pricer than I had originally thought  :-\

I think my collection will have to be without a Ron Robe :-( How come there so many Harry's and Herm's but so few of Ron's is it because they are hand me downs and Ginny needs them next  ???

Personally I think the ties are with that kind of money as they are really nice, but I'm not sure about a bit of old cloak :-\

With 5 more movies to do (not incl SS) I am sure a bit of Ron's robe will be there SOMEWHERE ;)

I agree.  I'm kind of expecting Ron's robe in the SS set and Ginny's robe in the COS set.

I missed the Harry Rare Robe.   :'( And I missed the last Honeydukes Candy.  :'( :'(  I was determined not to let the Ron Rare Robe get away.  I do know one thing there is only one person almost as loco as I am. It's the person I outbid.  :D :D :D

I only need two difficult cards  and two or three others to be finished with a master set. I mean a full master set. Not a set minus Pear Leaf, Chocolate Frog, Likorish Spider, etc. It's a lot of fun tracking down the cards.

Lets all shot to get a master set for all SEVEN movies!!! ;D ;D Positive mental (Should I say "mental"?) attitude.  :D :D :D

LOL - Maybe that is the reason why Ron's robes are so rare. ;D

The only card I want from the first set is the Permission form but  :o :o :o :o :o WOW what a load of money you have to spend to get one

I think you may be one of the few who could even consider accomplishing this feat.   The rest of us will have to win the lottery first before we can join you with your positive mental attitude. ;)

So far I've "had" a master set of them, but keeping them is a whole different story.  :)

You've got to be running out of space at your house!

Where/how do you display/keep your cards if you don't mind me asking? Do you keep autograph cards separate and display the rest? Or are they in folders? I am really interested to know! 8)

I couldn't even consider myself in the same league with LikORish-Spider, gimli, ztaylork, etc.  But I can aspire to be a big owner. ;)

I keep my cards in screw-down cases and store them in my HP binders in 4-pocket pages.


Am I really that close? ???  I had stopped paying attention.

I'm coming along, but I dont consider my self to be ANYWHERE near ztaylork and Annas level. I'm not really into having all the cards. I'm just going to collect my favorite cards.

Quite true I don't have a lot of space but i have sold a lot of my collection lately to make some space and make up for my losses on POAU. But I keep all my cards in the Binder both master sets

Yeah you still have all the Potter cards don't you Gimli and you got to keep all the nice variants too ;)

I keep my Thick cards and the $$$$$ ones in screw down holders. The rest are in soft sleeves and nine pocket pages in Binders. The ton of base cards I keep in the whit storage boxes. And no they are by no means all collated into sets yet. But, I kind of enjoy collating them. It gives me a chance to appreciate them. In my opinion some of them would have made neat Creature cards. How about when Hedwig molts, wouldn't a  White Hedwig feather with black sopts make a great card?

Anyone know if there is a card holder for 190point stock.?
I think the Monster Boook of Monsters is .1875 (3/16) inches.
I know the Pro-Mold PC18 holds a 120 point stock which works great for the Grim Fur and the Wooley sweaters.

I keep my Monster Card, Grim Fur and Ron & Hermione sweater cards in the Pro-Mold PC-18's like you. ;)
I'd actually got them to store my LOTR costume cards and I've had to 'borrow' them to store these particular cards in safely which is a real nuisance ... I also need them for the LOTR cards but I can't get hold of any more of them here in the UK as no-one stocks them. ::)

I store the rest of my cards in soft sleeves and hard toploaders of varying depths depending on the thickness of swatch on the card and then everything is stored in sturdy cardboard boxes away from dust and light.
It's not a very pretty way to keep them I know, but it stops little fingers pawing through them in the binders and I'd much rather them be safe. LOL

Congrats on getting that card though John ... I was watching it with great interest! ;D

Oh ... and I wouldn't consider myself in the same league as our 'Master' set collectors either ... I only thought you'd like to know how the more lowly card enthusiast keeps their cards safe. :)

I forgot about the Monster Book. :-[  Currently one is in a plastic snap-close case (it was sent ot me that way) and the other is sandwiched between 2 top-loaders.  Both cards are protected with penny sleeves.

Wel you've got to make sure they don't attack you. And you have two :o

LOL - Buckbeak will protect me. ;)  One is a furry one and the other is a wood variant.

As a fellow 'lowly' collector, I also find it interesting to see how others keep their cards. I've seen people frame their cards around movie posters, CDs, photos etc. They look fantastic, but I couldn't do it because I mainly collect autograph cards that would fade :P

So they sit in 4 screw holders :)
