On some auctions with a BIN, there's a statement in the details near the top of the page that immediate payment is required.  Can anyone tell me where you can select that option when setting up an auction?  I can't find it.

To use the immediate payment is required thing, what you re selling has to be a BIN auction only. When you go through the listing process and enter the amount of the BIN price there should be a tick box underneath or beside it says

"immediate payment is required" and you just click that

I have a question. Why do some people start with their BIN price the same as thier auction, whats the point of that :-\

An auction with a starting bid and a BIN (even if they're the same amount) is much cheaper than a listing that is only a BIN.  It's one of those weird eBay quirks that doesn't make sense.

The immediate payment option is a box that you can tick on section 4. Payments & Postage section when you're listing an item-it's immediate payment by Paypal,so you need to offer Paypal as a payment option and you can have it on auctions with both a start and BIN price (on the .co.uk site at least)for as long as the BIN option remains.
  The strategy of having an auction with the same start and BIN price is used by some sellers to ensure that their items show on as many searches as possible (some people search just for BIN items,others just for auction items).It's just paying a little more in listing fees to give their item the best possible chance of selling for the price they want I guess.
