Have you got any favourite film or TV show which has been lost in the mists of time?

I really loved the film Young Sherlock Holmes years ago when it was about. But haven't heard hide nor hair of it for years. It was good I wish they had made more, in fact I think I wrote one but I was only young at the time.

The tv show I miss is "The Magnificent Seven" it was a great show based in the west and I guess it was a little to old for it's time not to mention the network kept moving it around so it really didn't stand a chance to grow  :(

I saw "Young Sherlock Holmes" and I have to say that it was a neat way to explore Sherlock Holmes and Watson as kids.

Maybe its not too late maybe I could resurect it, um maybe put it on my list of things to do lol :P

There was this really coll kids programme I liked but I can't for the life of me remember what it was called. It was this girl and she used to hold on to a sundail in the garden and go back in time, if only I could remember I might be able to get it on vidoe or DVD ::)

Jamie and the Magic Torch is top quality programming. That and Around the World in 80 Days with Willy Fog. Amazing!

I remember this one.  It was a bit like Toms Midnight Garden but a bit more sinister.

I also miss a program no one else remembers called When Things Were Rotten.  It was a spoof Robin Hood comedy and used to be shown just before the Hammer Horror film on a Friday night.

The only other thing I remember is the theme song that went:

Once upon a time when things were rotten
Not just things but also kings were rotten.

Oohh I will be singing that all night now :D

Call me crazy, but as a kid, I LOVED Punky Brewster.  I asked my sister to buy me the DVD set for my birthday.

I swear all I see on tv anymore is MacGyver. It's on TV Land and Spike TV all the time it seems.

If you really want to see it though the first season is out right now on DVD   ;)

So many to choose from!  Now that we have had Dish Satellite service I have been able to watch several shows I loved watching growing up.  The first was a science fiction series called The Time Tunnel and another has been The Green Hornet.  Another favorite has been the 1960's World War II drama show Combat which still after all these years is outstanding.  I also love the original Outer Limits and The Twlight Zone.   :)

Funny that you guys mention Punky Brewster. My sister used to watch that all the time.  I remember seeing a couple episodes when I was knee high to a grasshopper.

Anyways, I liked "The Tomorrow People", which played on Nick. I don't know anything about the older series, but this was remade around 1994, and I can remember the excitement I had waiting for each episode in the story arc. I'm pretty sure both of them aired in the U.K. as well.

My sister and I just bought season 2 of 21 Jump Street because we used to watch it all the time when we were kids.

I forgot how cheesy the theme song was and not to mention some of the acting. I love Johnny Depp though do thank goodness he was in it and reminded me why I used to enjoy it when I was younger  ;D

Peter Deluise is so different then I remember, I can't believe he writes and directs now for Stargate SG1  :o

I think my sister is getting me season 1 of Punky for my birthday later this month ;D

I've been missing 'The Real Ghostbusters' Cartoon for years now.  I think I've signed every petition available to bring the series out on dvd.

I saw the movie but I found myself loving the series more  ;)

The characters are great and I wish that the show would have lasted a little longer so we could watch their friendships grow. My favorite character was the gambler Ezra Standish  ;D

I hope someday this show will come out on DVD so I can get it, the hallmark channel cut little scenes off and I hate that  >:(

Another show I would love to watch again is "ED", I used to love watching it on Wednesday nights all the time, thank goodness for TBS.

One show I was really obsessed with as a kid was a sci-fi puppet show called Starfleet.  It was dubbed over from an original Japanese show and featured a huge spaceship that fired an X shaped laser beam.  The bad guys all had insects as "eye patches" and I think one of them had a miniature face or mask over one eye that talked.  It was funny because the strings holding up the spaceships were so obvious but that was part of the charm.  The space battles were really intense and exciting.  I wish they'd release it on DVD.

The other show I used to love was Cloppa Castle which was another puppet based offering.  Every week was the same - the good guys trying to thwart the plans of the bad guys!  Reminded me of Michael Bentines Potty Time in some ways - bet none of you remember that one eh?

The old sci fi shows I used to watch when they were reruns on sci fi were..."Land of the Lost", "Land of the Giants","Twilight Zone","Lost in Space" and "Battlestar Galactica".

What can I say I loved old cheesy sci fi shows  :D

I like the old "Battlestar Galactica"  way better then the new one, I just can't seem to get into the new one   :P

ITV are showing the Magnificent Seven TV series late nite in UK @ present!!!

My two great favs are:

WKRP in Cincinnati - they're still trying to sort DVD rights out for this.

Hill St Blues - I'd buy the entire lot, if they'd only get 'em out on DVD.

Can anyone remember the name of the kids show that featured a Yak?  I have been wondering about this since I joined the Yak Shack but have now admitted defeat and need help  :-\

Thor, Land Of The Lost was one of my favorites as a kid too!  But they were'nt reruns, they were regular programming (shows my age)  :'(  I also liked Electra Woman and Dyna Girl.

Ok Bagpuss is not exactly forgotten but I found this brilliant section on would you believe it a BBC site! Bagpuss goes global http://www.bbc.co.uk/kent/fun_stuff/bagpuss/index.shtml his globe tratting adventures :D

DId any UK Yaks ever watch Chelmsford 123 it was a comedy set in Roman Britain.
