This seems totally odd to me... first off - the only other card designed like this is the Dawn French one - and that's because she's a painting... they haven't cut round the edge of this execustioner guy...

and he should be called

I struggled like mad to get it too ... took at least SIX attempts to sign in or get the page to refresh ... I reckon eBay have some problems at the moment but it certainly made for a nerve-wracking buy! LOL :P

There was another one that Jules has clinched the deal on - Tom has a handful - what Tom seems have is some listing software that lists one card after the other - he does this with all his trading cards as far as I can figure out - they are listed as near to one ending as the software can handle - he did it with Trilogy (LOTR) Jules and I were hanging on the edge of our seats to see if he had any more Arwen autos late one night :)

He should have a few more - not sure how many but not all that many

As intriguing as the release of this card is, I'm going to sit this one out... its a pretty creepy character to have, not sure I want him staring out at me from my collection :o

Do you think these are really limited or that there are a few about but they are just being distributed now  to the dealers ???

I wonder why Artbox use people's descriptions rather than real names - like "the executioner" and "the choir conductor" instead of McNair and Flitwick - it's actually quite annoying!

You don't see "Legolas - token pretty elf" in the LOTR sets  ::)

*moan moan winge winge* -  lol but I know I am not alone on this one - when I spoke to MPC about the Memorabilia set which had a second Choir conductor in he said "I would have taken some if it had been a "Flitwick auto"... and I couldn't agree with him more...

Well the point is that these cards are NOT going into packs - so they will all appear in the market place at once and then disappear until people resell them etc... so although there will be a flood now of Tom and a few other dealers they will dry up relatively quickly I should think - but we will have to wait and see...

And with this guy you get a HP base set - although to be fair then you have to pay postage on the base set which is probably not cheap internationally.

And I do already have 130 ish base sets ... Hmmmmmm   ;D

I think maybe its how they were titled in the film. We all know it was Flitwick but they never actually said it was (what had happened to his hair! :-\) I suppose its the same with the executioner. Although altough the costume card has Cedric Digory on it, and I don't think he got a name check either. Although I think its someone completely different playing him in GOF when we diffinately will know who he is.

Hmmm. Both sellers use exactly the same picture for all of their auctions. Hmmm.  ::) A stolen pic or the same seller or some other reason?  Hmmm.  ???

The front side of the picture was sent to dealers when they partook in the offer... BUT I am not sure about the back - maybe they only scanned the back??

I'm sure the shipping for the base set will bump up the total quite a bit internationally and even though it's an excellent offer, I'm perfectly happy with the one I've already paid for thanks!! ;D

There are a few sellers who add base sets to an auction.  Even if it's a US seller shipping within the US, I've had to pay one or two dollars more than if I got just the one insert.

If you really want another one, you could ask the seller if he/she could just ship the card.

Yes of course - I am just teasing. I am thinking of Mark's kitchen table with all the odd and sod cards I need to sort out and see what we need for any final sets.

We end up paying a small fortune here on shipping stuff from the States and I suspect some sellers make a fair bit of profit on what they charge for these international transactions. Many get away with it because most of us here aren't familiar with how much we should be paying ... there's UK sellers who are just as bad with overcharging and you'll find that's the case no matter where you are.
I love the Global Priority mailers you have .... I know what to expect if my item has been sent in one of those and exactly how much it costs with no last-minute surprises ... brilliant!

Besides, I want to get hold of a Ginny Weasley auto card and they're proving tricky to find and win on auction at the moment. ;)

It's kind of sad that there are so many update base sets, we're having a hard time giving them away. :-\ I gave my daughter her first base set yesterday, and we had a blast putting them in an album.  When we were done, she looked up at me with the sweetest face and asked, "Are there any Sorcerer's Stone cards?"  When I told her that they were coming out at the end of April, she got so excited you'd think Christmas was around the corner.  Just what we need -- two collectors in the house! :D

This stinks in my opinion.  The collectors are the ones that should be getting these cards from artbox to try and make up for all the dud boxes out there.  They should have sent this card radomly out with the other redemptions, or if you send in a redemption card of all three from the update, you were awarded the fourth card.  Instead the dealers are getting a card that they are getting $50 out of, and should be worth much less.  We don't have any info as to how many this guy signed, he could have sent back 500 to artbox and they are going to be flooded shortly, we don't know.   Everyone spending $50 might kick themselves in a week, when they really get flooded and you can get them for $15.  Is Peter Best anyone of importance?  (forgive my ignorance if he is some acclaimed British stage actor or something else that I have no idea about)  I just wish artbox realized what they are doing to the collectors.

We all know that the big dealers lost much money with this Update set. Maybe it's just a way from Artbox to say sorry, to give the dealers a chance to get some money back.  ::)  It's absolutely unusual to produce a single card much more later. It wasn't the plan from the beginning, i am sure. I really think so, Artbox says sorry to the big dealers, this card is a gift. Because they need the dealers for the next sets. What do you think? Is it nonsense?

Actually, it does make sense.  If Artbox knew the signed cards would eventually come back, they would have used redemption cards.

and what about all the people that got dud boxes and the people that brought cases of cards but aren't dealers

I complained to artbox about getting a dud box with and explained in the email what my box contained exactly and i am still waiting for a reply

As a 'double dud boxer' I should be miffed about this card.

It is confusing!  ???   Some sellers refer to the card as her jumper (sweater), scarf, or coat.  Since Artbox never released an official list of costume names, people just guess as to where the swatch came from.

Looks like it came from the sweater from under her coat???

It's actually very complete isn't it? Sealed pack, sealed box etc :) one of my style "proper" master sets :P
