: Are the prices for these cards slowing down?

Yesterday I logged in about 2 minutes too late to buy all of MPCs auctions, the one that hurt me most was a Sirius auto for just over £50.

What on earth is going on?

Roz

P.S. MPC, yes of course I'll take that Hermione off your hands for 20 pence. Thank you!

I think the market is as saturated as it will ever be right now, and in a week when the movie comes out and everyone is on a Harry Potter high many people will be looking to ebay and discover these cards and they will really take off.  They really are a great set of cards.  I hope that Artbox doesn't get greedy and kill the update set, doubling production wouldn't hurt much, even tripling wouldn't kill it, but much more than that I don't want to see.  I am just happy this forum is back up and running!!!  When I opened my hot box I was sadened that I couldn't post it here first.  :(

Roz - Hurt you most?! I had been watching that auction for the last 10 minutes and tried to snipe at last minute, but server went slow and I missed bidding by about 20 seconds - aggh!!! I was so gutted when it went for that price, and it may have nearly been in my hands!!

But, I think the reason why the price was low, because the title just said 'Oldman/black autograph' - so anyone searching for 'sirius/auto' wouldnt have found it.

Anyway, to console myself, I won a Sirius auction this morning for £84 which is ok!
I also bought a hobby box, because I reckon these wont be around for long & will follow the FOTR demand!

Oh no Pax... ok I do have a Sirius - it's the only auto I DO have but it was such a low price!

Yes - MPC - consult us HP fans as to what you call your auctions first!!!

LOL re the Hobby box... I bet you will keep it in the house 5 mins... then put it on a shelf... as you 'potter' around the house you will think... hmm wonder what's in there... and I think you will break!!!

 :P

I really think that the people who are willing to spend the big $$$ for the cards have already purchased the ones they want.  It sure seems the prices have gone down.

I saw a Hermione pink sweater go for $65 seems pretty cheap for that card.

I think some have given up trying because of the cost.

Hey Pax... yes I shall dig out that spare ROTK topper, I haven't been myself lately! I am not sure how wen ended up with a spare but a friend sent us a set of both toppers so we have them nicely in our file!

The Sirius came from my box - the 3rd box I opened ;) First Harry costume 750, second box empty, third box had GRorge costume 1300, Dervish and Banges 484 and a SIRIUS AUTO... then the next two boxes were empty.... oh the agony
