Hmmm - I am still waiting for my ASLAN statue... a project that WETA are ACTUALLY involved in !!! But to be fair - I can't see that this one can fail - 2,000 produced of one of the most major film characters of all time (excepting the mighty FIGWIT of course). Sideshow know they are onto a winner... and I guess that's the reasoning behind the $350 price tag... what a scorcher!!! : Re:For the Star Wars fan that has everything : MakTheYak February 20, 2005, 05:42:24 AM Look at that bugger! It's HUGE! 1:4 scale? Man that's gonna be up to like my ankle (Darth Vader was a short-ass, right? Right?)
: Re:For the Star Wars fan that has everything : Roz February 20, 2005, 05:18:38 PM Hee hee - I think even on you it would be your knee!!!
This pic is better (http://www.sideshowtoy.com/toyfair2005/0205toyfair_gal01/images/IMG_2833.jpg) : Re:For the Star Wars fan that has everything : MakTheYak February 20, 2005, 11:58:03 PM How cool is that? And it even looks like he comes with free kitchen roll! Or is that just a reflection?
: Re:For the Star Wars fan that has everything : Roz February 21, 2005, 04:02:19 AM PAH
I defy you to find fault with this pic (http://www.sideshowtoy.com/toyfair2005/0205toyfair_gal01/images/IMG_2835.jpg) : Re:For the Star Wars fan that has everything : Roz February 26, 2005, 09:42:23 PM According to the newsletter from Sideshow they are now down to their last 100 for the site exclusive version.
: Re:For the Star Wars fan that has everything : MakTheYak February 27, 2005, 04:09:19 AM Obviously no big Star Wars fans on this board :p
: Re:For the Star Wars fan that has everything : Roz February 27, 2005, 04:11:31 AM Yeah they all think it's rubbish ;)
They also won't be interested in total film magazine this month either - which has a lenticular front cover changing Anakin into Darth which is so awesome I picked it up even though I've never read the mag before - it's like the one Empire did just before Christmas but for Spiderman :) : Re:For the Star Wars fan that has everything : Nienna February 27, 2005, 04:23:16 AM OOOOOOOOOOOOoooo I'll have to keep an eye out for that issue ~ thanks for posting the info on it! ;)
I saw the Spiderman issue but didn't get it as I'm not a fan, but Star Wars ... well that's a whole different story. I predict having to fight my son for the mag, but so long as I get my mitts on the lenticular then all will be well! ::) Or, he could get a copy of his own with his pocket money. :P : Re:For the Star Wars fan that has everything : Ed... Van Halen February 27, 2005, 04:26:15 AM The lightsabre is a fraction too short....I am a Star Wars junkie and I won't be buying this.....it would be a luxury which will probably collect dust
: Re:For the Star Wars fan that has everything : Boggle February 27, 2005, 04:26:46 AM Saw those in Tesco's earlier, it does look good. If only i liked SW! :P
: Re:For the Star Wars fan that has everything : Nienna February 27, 2005, 04:34:36 AM I wouldn't say I'm a SW junkie (not like my son who could quote great chunks of dialogue from the films at will), I'm more interested in the lenticular! LOL ;)
: Re:For the Star Wars fan that has everything : Roz February 27, 2005, 04:37:08 AM .....it would be a luxury which will probably collect dust Hee hee I used to have a subscription to Empire last year (when you signed up you got a copy of LOTR the FOTR movie DVD and the Trilogy movie edition book and calendar - plus the subscription so for £28 I snapped all that up). So this total film will be good to bring me back up to date as my Empire mag ran out around Christmas : Re:For the Star Wars fan that has everything : Roz February 27, 2005, 05:44:24 PM and what do you mean the LS isn't long enough? It goes off the page - it doesn't stop!
: Re:For the Star Wars fan that has everything : MakTheYak February 28, 2005, 02:33:09 PM I'm guessing he must have meant on the model. Next you'll be complaining it doesn't glow and cut stuff :p
: Re:For the Star Wars fan that has everything : savage727 February 28, 2005, 10:16:02 PM Good one Mark! :) It doesn't cut stuff? ;)
