: interesting Auction 10 auto cards : mcgonagall January 07, 2005, 10:57:15 AM thought people might be interested in this auto
nice low starting price http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6144799820&fromMakeTrack=true : Re:interesting Auction 10 auto cards : Anna January 11, 2005, 08:45:24 AM I won this auction, but I was wondering if I paid too much? You see I placed my bid ($10 over the previous bid) about 3 hours before the auction was over but then I had to logoff the computer. I was sure I would be outbid, but I had fun bidding on it. Well I logged back in this morning and found out I won! :o No one bid in the 3 hours! ??? I was using the price guide as a reference and I thought what I bid was reasonable (still a bit low). What do you guys think?
: Re:interesting Auction 10 auto cards : Tower January 11, 2005, 03:31:38 PM Hi Anna,
no, you didn´t pay too much. I guess, you would have to pay a little more if you try to buy them in 10 single auctions. It´s just the fact that not so many people need all 10 cards together. So there are not so many bidders on auctions like this. I think, you made the right decision, the price is not too much. :) : Re:interesting Auction 10 auto cards : Roz January 11, 2005, 03:45:42 PM NO that looks a good price to me.
I don't really know why people sell master sets or blocks of autos etc on ebay as they always seem to sell for less, but I daresay it's because one auction is easier to manage and pack than 10! :) : Re:interesting Auction 10 auto cards : Anna January 11, 2005, 09:13:16 PM Thanks for responding. I feel much better now. The only autos I had were Bonnie Wright, Robert Hardy and Matthew Lewis, so I figured that for me it was a good deal. I just started collecting the original set (much easier than the update set - less cards). Now that I have all of the autos I can focus on the costumes and props. :)

I know that I was pretty much on my own in saying that the permission slip was my fav prop in that set, everyone loved the Daily Prophet... I wonder whether that's changed now we have a second issue daily prophet! :-\ |
