: Re:More ways to spend money 2005 : Roz December 19, 2004, 11:57:13 PM Giclee is an advanced inkjet printer reproduction of a painting??
Hmm I think I'd have to see it in the flesh first :-\ : Re:More ways to spend money 2005 : Nienna December 20, 2004, 03:24:05 AM I got the postcard sets cheaper off Collector Zone months ago ::)
Lovely to see Darren and Charlie making complete prats of themselves with the Sting swords they couldn't sell!! :P : Re:More ways to spend money 2005 : Roz December 20, 2004, 03:29:22 AM Well I am glad you said it :P
I've not watched QVC before and trust me I will not be dashing out to get Freeview/Sky! : Re:More ways to spend money 2005 : Nienna December 20, 2004, 03:54:14 AM I got the distinct impression that Darren had excess stock of them, couldn't sell them off his website and still couldn't shift them on QVC ... I thought it was really funny seeing how desperate the two of them were getting as the evening progressed! ;)
It was a nice sword and all that, but I just wouldn't pay that kind of money for it ... as for the metal swords ~ Hadhafang looked beautiful, as did Herugrim ~ well ALL of them really. I'd be hard pushed to make a choice if I had the money and space to safely display them, but I think I'll have to settle for the miniature versions for safety's sake if I'm to thave them at all! Oh and someone please tell Darren that an 'arrow holder' is called a 'quiver'! *shakes head in disbelief* ... IMHO the collectible dolls were stunning and I was surprised they didn't sell out. I'm not interested in collecting them myself, but thought they stood out as something really special from a lot of the other things they were selling. *my manthom's worth for ya!* ;) : Re:More ways to spend money 2005 : robwaddle December 21, 2004, 06:51:21 PM They do try their best on QVC. Sadly, most of what they sell is available a lot cheaper elsewhere. The only thing I've bought recently is the Eowyn signed Litho, because I wasn't prepared to take a chance on missing one.
Shop around!!! Rob ;D |
