Alan Lee totally rocks! Apparently he's spent a week "doing a book tour of the states" which seems a short period of time for how many big cities there are. I think watching him draw in front of me would be as much a gift as owning a sketch... I wonder if he would object to people videoing him drawing as he does so.
When you look at his sketches they can often look like a very scrawly set of lines if you look close up - and yet when you stand back and take perspective the sketch just looks phenomenal... lol I am going to get all lyrical on you but it seems as though he brings order to chaos (having caused the chaos in the first place). I'll have to find the sketch online that I saw that made me think this but Jas' is pretty neat :) |
