OLLY says that I need an avatar? I've never had my own avatar before. Does it require food, water, and a soft bed? How exactly does one get their own avatar?

These questions and more I have :P

If you look after your avatar like you do your customers and me then it will be the happiest avatar in the whole world  ;D

So what kind of picture are you after for your avatar?
Sketches? Family Guy? Ewok?

As sketchqueen you should at least have a sketched EWOK!

(yes I am kidding you can have what you like - that young Linington character (yes he's about 2 weeks younger than me, so I'll call him that) had a Santa as an Avatar in November  ::))

Well I don't think they come in the shaved bald variety  ;D

And I will still have santa in June!!  :P

I have a lovely one of Harry on an other site but I had the picture on file. I never have managed to do this website linking thing  :(

I used photobucket.com to host my avatar, just pop on there, set up an account(free, just need a few details) then upload your pic. Then copy the url and paste it into the "i have my own pic" section of your profile.
If you get stuck or want me to host it for you give me a shout. :)

I have got my own MSN site where I could put it but I just don't understand how you only get the pic and not the whole page  ::) Maybe I'm just being dim.

If you wanted a new one, this site has a heap of good ones - you just have to get them to resize it to 80x80 for you, then to host it on Photobucket :)

Try this - if it is on your MSN page, right click it and go to properties. It should give you a link address, enter that into the address bar in your Shack forum page

Well I have one its a bit pixely but its better than the first one I tried which is a lovely pic but they kept telling me it was too big so I had to strink it :(

Try cropping the edges down with photoshop or similar, you may be able to get it less pixely! :)

I wish I could make one where Hermione is storming down to Malfoy and with the wand and punch and that over and over *my favorite part of the movie*. I also like the scenes in the punkin patch. I found one where theres a picture of her looking in the forest and the moving photo is her saying "Its that whst my hair looks like" then her hiding but you had to buy it then download it :o :o :o

Hee hee I was just taking a quick peek through your cards Kate and noticed your pack-pulled Trilogy Pippin.

I really want a pretty little Gryffindor logo at the bottom of my screen.  I have the Http address but every time I put that in my profile it just puts the address instead of the logo.

I thought i could live without it but having seen Mikes and Dawns etc everytime I log on I realise what a jealous person I am so...

You need to save the image to your computer, then upload it to Photobucket or any other image hosting service.  Then you can link it to your profile. :)

Are you pasting the address in the signature section?  I've never tried it, but maybe you need to paste the [img] tag instead?

Kelly - It looks too big. :-\  In PhotoShop, resize to image to 80 x 80 pixels, it should be okay then. :)

I'm trying to add another photo to my signature but it keeps coming up HUGE.  I already resized to 80x200.  Any suggestions?

In PhotoShop, resize it to 5 inches wide instead of by pixels.  It might fit as 5 1/2" in your signature, but test it out first.

I changed my Avatar for my favortie Trio picture in POA. I'm going to resize some of my favortie cards from GOF after I get them online. I'm going to put up my fav POA cards but I cant pick was Emma one to put up :P

Kelly who is that in the middle of your Lost picture?  Is it someone from season 2?

 :rofl: It's the Skipper from Gilligan's Island.  It was a comedy show back in the 70's about people who were marooned on a deserted island.  Really hokey stuff!  I guess that joke is LOST (ugg!) on anyone not from the US.  :rofl:

Do you know I am always hearing jokes about Gilligans Island on various sitcoms - Friends, Frazier etc but I am not sure we ever got it in the UK.  That would be a great twist if they found him on the Island though (I assume Gilligans lot never escaped ?)

I don't think they got off the island by the end of the series, but they had a special show later on where they did get rescued.  But I think they got stuck on the same island at the end of that show! 

I've been trying to figure out more about my Photoshop Elelments program, so I've been practicing with banners.  I made this one and will be happy to give it to whoever wants it.

I was using tutorials from Photoshop which is a lot bigger program than elements, but I got some things to work.  Cleaning?  What's that?  My kitchen is a mess!  My oldest and I just finished a haunted gingerbread house and now were going to my parents house for dinner.  One thing I've learned is that the messes will always wait!  I would rather do something fun!  ;)

Both Phoroshop and PSP are excellent programs. I've always used PSP so it's what I'm used to but I believe Adobe's ok ;) he hee it's pretty much the most popular one out there!

Even though it's (Adobe) the most popular one out there, last time I checked it was still expensive (even when I got the student discount). Given that it's the most expensive, I can't see how it's got the popularity when PSP would work just the same :P

I've been making my own GOF posters with PhotoShop but they arnt very well done. Anyways, Nice Avatar. I'm trying to make my Hermione Christmas avatar but I cant find the right picture of her in her Yule Ball wear :D
