I have one of these to open it with  ;D ... but my bank balance won't do all 4... so which should it be? I need some SERIOUS help here guys! Whilst I drew the line at full sized swords I feel that these small letter opener sized replicas are AMAZING!

But which one should I get??

Haddhafang....Elven class.

I like the idea of ripping into your letters with the Flame of the West... but I like Hadhafang as well. Beautiful.

Sting is quite cool also (I would go for this), as is Glamdring.

(Final opinion: Anduril - you have all the other Aragorn stuff already)

I bought STING, for mini popple, for Christmas. It looks realy neat.The detailing on it is very good.

I'm on the lookout for a mini Hadhafang. Apart from Theoden's, it's my fav sword. Can't find one at a price I like though  :-\ They're certainly NOT worth the retail price IMO

I also like Eowyn's sword... but as far as I know, UC has not made a replica, mini or full size. Its a surprise as it played a large role in the movie!

Anyone know anything different?

That's odd. I've heard reports much to the contrary, but I haven't actually seen one in the flesh so I'll reserve judgement until I have :)

I bought a Narsil from the Collectorzone for (I think) £14.99. I was very happy at that price, but I wouldn't pay £30 that's being asked for Hadhafang on the bay at the moment.

Err I think that it's £40 at the moment  :-\ unless they've changed it during the day!

The ones from Collector Zone were returns and weren't guaranteed to be mint condition.  ::)

£15 is below wholesale cost in the Uk  ::)

That's why only Collectorzone can chose to sell for less.
They take advantage of their parents companies buying discounts  >:(

My CZ Narsil was a return from QVC - had their stickers on it. Just goes to prove that they can't sell if prices too high  ::) ::)

Lovely item though and I've been kicking myself for not getting any one of them when they were on special offer on CZ a few weeks ago ;)

Guys I know how much he paid for them and I can tell you that with ebay fees he's already on the edge of the price, so I think it's fairly safe to say there's nothing doing there ;)

CZ did have a good price but they were returns and I have heard reports that a fair number of them weren't in the greatest of condition - so maybe it was a narrow escape?

I Have 3 of the letter openers, Just after Gandalf's to make the set complete , unless they release more. :o , if anyones interested QVC have a 2 hour LOTR special on saturday night, they are having some of the letter openers on

Thanks AndyfanLOTR!  You are correct - that price is not for the full sized sword but for the letter opener one.  

I think (for me) Aragorn's is the one for me  ;D they are all really great though.

Does anyone know about the LOTR's miniature sword sets?  I see you can purchase them individually or with a base.  My question is are the swords removable from the base or are they permanently affixed to it?

One of the links at the top of this page is to a Seller who sells LOTR's swords and he has not replied back to the same question so any help is appreciated.  Thanks. :)

Which ones do you mean Savage? The Noble miniatures come in a presentation case with no stand.

There is a set with stands (can't remember who makes it). They are deffo detachable as they're marketed as letter openers.

Thanks.  They are not the ones by The Noble Collection.  As a matter of fact I ordered the Anduril Sword Letter Opener from them the other day and it looks awsome in that presentation case.  I plan to display it next to my Sideshow King Elessar statue.    If it is as good as it looks in the picture I will get Gandalf's Glamdring as well.

I think the other mini swords I was asking about are from United Cutlery.  The base of these ones looks like a pile of stones into which the sword is placed point down into to.  I did not know if the sword was removable or not.
