At the weekend, I noticed that Percy Weasley aka Chris Rankin is appearing in Panto in Derby at the Assembly Rooms this Xmas! :)
Whilst I'm not a big fan of Panto, I might ... just might haul my butt along to see him and maybe try for his auto afterwards ... I'd have to take the family of course but I'm sure that wouldn't cramp my style! :o ;)

I'll check to see the name of the Panto and the dates and I'll post them here for you.

The pic of him on the poster isn't that flattering either but, he's still ginger-haired (don't know if that's his natural colour or not) ... and .... his character's name in the Panto is ........

Same actor, different venue. Yesterday I met both Chris Rankin and Jamie Yeates who plays Marcus Flint at Memorabilia at the NEC in Birmingham. Both were really nice but the strangest thing was that Chris had a big pile of unsigned Artbox cards which he was signing. He put Percy after his auto which was nice and I also got a blank one too which he thought was a bit strange but you know us collectors.

What's the betting these cards find their way onto ebay fairly soon? ::)
Did you tell him there's a thriving market for selling his auto cards, as I imagine he could make himself a bit of pocket money selling them! :rofl:
That was excellent of him to give you a blank card too Angie - something the rest of won't have that's for sure! ;) ;D

Well I was just looking for things I haven't read and found this topic, I was a little surprised by the new that he was signing blank Artbox POAU cards.  I am think that is crap!  That just ruins the value that his cards had.  I have an extra couple I have kept for trade or possible sale and that just makes their value drop >:()  Shouldn't Artbox have some control over this?

If that was Emma, Dan or Rupert doing that I think Artbox would be freaking out.  And after the grab bag thing I would think they would know how collectors feel about the cards they took pains financially and other to acquire.  Does anyone else feel this way?

***note*** of course if I was there I would have wanted one and a blank too, so I don't blame you guys for getting them.

***COUGH***  I think some of our Master Set collectors are missing a variant auto card now!

Roz, does this card have the shinny coating on it? Or is it a flat non-glossy finish.  Or have you noticed? The answer may clear up the question of when the UV/Shinny coating is applied to autograph cards.

I'll take it out and compare 2. The UV coating on LOTR cards went on after the scribbling stage, but with Artbox??? well, let's look and see
