The problem with making your own is that you want high quality gloss for printing it - and yet paper that will take pencil :-\ ...and I don't mind mentioning that even big card companies get it wrong. Alternatively any other art suppliers should do. Ideally, Mark ought to go and take a look at the board Olly mentions to see what the surface is like on it ... it's suitability will very much depend on what medium you'll be using on it ~ pencil, indian ink, marker pen, pastels, gouache, watercolour and so on. 100LB is to thin, 148( the heaviest I found besides posterboard) is still a little thin, to where if you print on one side and they draw on the other it is ok, but if they sign it in a sharpie it will show through. Does anyone know what cards are made of? |
