Cards that are both costume cards and autograph cards?

If you have a repeat signer it always seems silly to buy that auto again, (ahem yes I am part of the 5 Viggo family). But it would be very cool if people signed again that it was in conjunction with having a piece of prop - like Harry and a bit of his firebolt (maahahaha I know he's not signing again) or The Weasley Twins AND a bit of the marauders map as an example (although - we don't need the MM again nor the Phelp's signatures either :))

But you get my drift - what about Flitwick and one of the feathers from the class in the Philosopher's Stone (although once again we already have his auto 2x).

What do you think?

To make it even cooler, they could put a bigger piece of costume, and have the signer sign the costume piece.  They have done this in sports sets before and its pretty cool.  But imagine how much cooler the Weasley twins autographs (and quittich robe) would have been if the costume piece was about the size of the autograph area, and it had their signature on it!  Of course this would only work with certian pieces as the darker pieces woud be harder to sign, unless they used one of those silver pens or other pens to make it show up nice.  This would be cool because it would turn the actors that are not as sought after, and pieces related to them, into more sought after pieces.  Many times in sports the first 10 or 25 pieces are signed and the rest are normal.  Imagine how cool the weasley quidditch could have been from the first set if the first 50 were signed.  Just my thoughts, someone needs to infiltrate artbox headquarters and leave post it notes all over the owners office with some of these brilliant ideas!!!

I think it would have been cool to have Sirius Black sign some of the permission form cards from the first set.

Again it shows the intelligence and taste of Forum members.  If you folks can come up with such cool ideas why doesn't Artbox or Topps?  Sad really when you think of the missed opportunities and what could have been!

Yeah you're right Savage! Maybe we should have a Representative on their (artbox) board! ;D

I wish they would read these posts and pass on some of the great ideas to upper management. I know Darren pops in every once in a while but some ideas like the one above are really GREAT!! :o

You have a great idea as well.  There are so many of you who are huge collector's and dealers that you know what all of us are looking for in the ccg market as far as Auto/Clothing cards go.  Why an Artbox or Topps does not tap into a resource like this is beyond me?  Surely they must have people who surf the net looking at discussion groups who talk about their products.  If these companies started producing the kind of cards we have been discussing I think sales would be even better for them and that is the bottom line - making money for the product you sell!

This topic is a golden oldie, but I think it's funny how two years ago, Roz et al predicted the Memorable Moments set and Death Eater auto/costumes! :)

yea they took her idea and used it over and over with people I've never heard before and will never again....Roz why didn't you say in that 2 year old message that the people should have to be at least famous ???? They were reading back then, Artbox that is
