Who likes it, who hates it, the new Im A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here is on (well in the UK anyway).

For us folks in the States what is this TV show all about?   :)

Ooh. I remember the one in the US a couple of years ago. I must sadly admit to watching it (I was living in a college town and was no longer in college). Quite a few of them were pathetic and annoying. I voted for Chris Judd-J. Lo's ex. He seemed like a really nice guy and I felt sorry for him. He won so apparently I wasn't the only one  ::)
The premise is put a bunch of celebrities in the middle of a rainforest where they no longer have the luxurious lifestyle they are used to. And then watch what happens.  I didn't watch the show from the beginning but some celebrities really didn't handle the lifestyle so well.  And many showed a severe lack of intelligence as well.

OK OK I know 2 - Janet Street Porter - madwoman and champion of countryside causes (only cos she goes on "Have I got news for you" a lot)

And Brian Harvey - after my mis-spent youth listening to the weirdo (allegdly) "sing"

But it's hardly unexpected - you could hardly be "A list" and take a couple of weeks out to eat live insects etc??

Oh for heavens sake. As far as I can see, its a bunch of D-list 'celebrities' put in the middle of nowhere for some time and the last one left wins. Most go on it to try and resurrect their careers (which unfortunately Peter Andre succeeded in doing ::))

It hasn't come out in Oz yet thank goodness, but with all this reality TV crap that we are being bombarded with, it's only a matter of time unfortunately :P

Hehe it hasn't come out in Oz yet possibly because Oz is the location of the event :) People would be like "So what? These guys travel a few miles across the country and eat a bunch of grubs? Big deal!"

It's a load of rubbish, although for some reason we were strangle taken in by it last time. Not making that mistake this time - waste of time and energy!

Now this would be interesting if it were called Celebrity Hunt!  Depending on how extreme you want to go you could hunt down Celebrities in the wild - they have to elude you and survive!  Now I am not advocating using real weapons but say maybe paintball guns.   ;)  You get hit - you are out.  I don't think very many Celebrities would last too long!  ;)

No - I'd like to see the use of real weapons. Some of these people really need to be put out of their D-grade misery ;)

lol all, yes; u never acctually see these people before the show, they are all a load of old celebs looking to renew there fame. Take a look at Peter Andrea! as soon as the first one finished he had a whole new carrea!

Although the whole program is tedious, it sure is fun to watch them sqeel when they have to live with bugs! Its a shame the show is only in the UK, I acctually find it fun to watch, seeing them run about screaming and then moaning at each other.
