If anybody here would like me to take your bad luck away from you, maybe break a few mirrors, walk under a few ladders, give a swift kick to any black cats crossing my path (metaphorically speaking kitty lovers), then just let me know.

Do not, I repeat, do not allow me within.....Ooh shall we say the same time zone ?..... as your precious un-opened boxes or cases of Harry Potter Update.

I really want to like these cards, I really do. I don't want to criticise, so I'll bite my tongue and just leave you with this observation :

I've broken 4 cases.
3 of the case toppers are the same
I've got 6 Lupin coat costume cards
I've got 5 Sleeping Bag prop cards
I've only got 2 Creature cards............both the same

And to top it all off, I've only got 7 auto's, 3 of which are Percy Weasley, 2 are the Choir Conductor and the remaining 2 are Pansy Parkinson.

So out of the cards available in packs, I'm still missing :

11 Costume cards (48% of the set)
3 Prop cards (33%)
2 Creature cards (66%)
2 Film cel cards (22%)
and 13 autograph cards (81%) !!!!!

After breaking 4 cases.

Don't talk to me about random distribution  >:( >:( >:(

That sucks CJD. 4 cases and thse cards? Did you kick a black cat too many before you received them or something? ;)

Seriously though, that collation is shocking. 3 unique autos?

I can't say any more at the moment. Am still in shock :o My most sincere commiserations :-[

CJD:

You and many others here on The Forum have experienced not bad luck but poor distribution of product by Artbox.  I have spoken to Beckham and several others urging them to complain to Artbox and you too certainly have a case.  I would like to see all of you email Artbox Customer Service showing what you paid for their product and what you received in return and ask them to make some accomodation in Auto cards as compensation.  There are just too many of you out there that this is happening to.  Give it some thought as nothing ventured, nothing gained.  I hope you all can get some satisifaction as in the end you as consumers of their product make or break companies like Artbox.

Yes FTY, 3 unique autos for me in 5 cases!

Woo hoo!

I did have more luck on the box toppers, in the first 3 cases we (Mark) opened we got one of each box topper, and a case I opened for a friend had a Hermione topper in!

I do feel your pain CJD, I lack motivation to open new cases because I know I will just get more of what I already have... it's just too frustrating!

With all the problems of distribution and damaged cards from this set will you who purchase boxes and cases be doing the same with the next Harry Potter card set from Artbox or will you purchase individual cards you want on ebay or from Sellers you know and trust?

I will never buy a Case from Artbox again. Maybe 1 or 2 boxes but definately not more.

After this bad distribution (3 unique Autos in 4 Cases too) and this big printrun (to many cards on the market) i think i will purchase individual cards next time

Just a guess, but with all of the complaints, I think Artbox will produce less of the next set, and then everyone will be kicking themselves for not buying cases.

I do not care about what POSSIBLE will be. Remember in June when POA Update was for presale. Everyone got the info there will be only 500 Cases again.

I am realy p... off. And i guess most collectors and dealers are.

Beautiful cards but now we have many spare sets and almost every 1500+ card 3 or 4 times, no chance to sell 1 or 2 cards for a fair price to get back a little bit of the money we have spent for cases that are not worth the money.

Too many cards over 1500+ so even if Artbox produce only 500 Cases for the next set again i will not buy a case again.

you are right T & F, getting 4 - 8 cards that are over 1500 print run, makes them impossible to sell or trade your spares.  Many lupin jackets, harry robes, diggory robes, etc are going unsold at $9.99.   That is pretty tough on the collector when they buy a box for $55-$65 and can't do anything with any of the duplicates.  And you are correct on the poor distribution of auto's I think I have 7 prangs, 5 dudley dursleys, 7 stan shunpikes, etc etc.

I will not be ordering that much of the next product.  If I had to guess I would say 1 case (maybe less).

I think what bugs me the most is that Artbox said there would be 10 costumes 3 props 2 autos and TBD film cell cards and creature cards.  And this wasn't just the rumor these were product info sheets that were sent to dealers.  I had two of them forwarded to me from dealers.   I think it did say subject to change, but certainly we all made our buying decisions based on that information.
If we were shorted 3 costumes per case what are the odds some of those costumes would have been:  Hermione pink shirts, Ron sweaters, Gryfindor Tie, Slytherin Tie, Rosmerta Jacket, etc etc.  Likely it would have meant at least one more good costume card per case.
Still very disappointed I think I am going to send my letter registered mail requiring Mike Simons signature.
